So, according the the smarmy MSM, PBO would definitely be the first isil leader to have been awarded a Nobel Peace Prize? Amirite?

How about #trumptrumpstrump? (as in, blow it out your ass). The world will enjoy seeing him destroy whatever that thing he calls a ‘self’ is.

      GM Alycee.

Heard this on the radio yesterday, and thought of everyone in TOD in the Philly area.

Shockingly heartbreaking. Also appalling to think there are 47 more similar stories. Another that was stunningly sad was the woman with 12 kids who had beaten cancer twice, dancing with one of her sons.

No problem JO’B! The more the merrier, and the late(r) comers will get to see your post. It’s all good 🙂

GM JO’B (still early on the west coast, getting my news update from TOD now).

My mind is still reeling on what happened in Orlando (see upthread response to Alycee), but my “nature girl” heart who loves the First Family and PBO most of all, is also saddened that what should be a joyous trip to Carlsbad Caverns and Yosemite this week will have this unspeakable horror along for the ride.

I recall clearly my first trips to some of our nation’s finest National Parks (during the time I was Sasha and Malia’s age) and am inclined to think these wonders might not have had the same awe-inspiring impact in the wake of Orlando atrocity. 😦

        I hope I’m wrong.

This is going to be another gut wrenching experience for President Obama. This is the hardest part of his job because he doesn’t just do it out of duty–his whole heart is in it and it takes everything out of him. Republicans laugh at the concept of empathy and think it conveys weakness when it actually conveys greatness of heart and strength of character.

Thanks once again Nerdy, for all of your tireless posting in Chips’ absence.

    “The President’s Day”

I know we’ve had many, many posts with that title here at TOD, but, today, what the gravity and weight of this day must be for him hit me in my heart’s center.

We are all heartbroken yet again; tired, tired, tired of Congress not acting or blocking reform, and resolved to keep pressing on to get it passed. Still, President Obama must have all of our emotions ten-fold, no, a hundred-fold.

We WILL do this one day.

BTW, this is the ceiling dome of the Ed Sullivan Theater tonight:

      GM HF2.

      OMG.

And absolutely NO pushback from MSM.

Heard this guy on the radio yesterday, but no mention of his background. Do recall being annoyed at the time when he said something about how you can’t change this because of “constitutional rights,” as if the Constitution specifically protects automatic/semiautomatic machine guns and ammo clips/magazines:

Hi, Nerdy – If you can “see” me – I tried to post a comment on this thread 3 or 4 times. Thank goodness it hasn’t posted that many times! But if it’s in time-out, could you kindly free one of them? Thank you.

I agree amk – is it only the outsiders who see this so clearly – also aided by the media – sure taken them awhile to discover the reality of what they will never claim was their fault

And he carries the world on those shoulders & the US congress refuses to ease the load. Term limits have their uses. PBO deserves so much better. May those who send the hate, drown in it – I have run out of giving them 2nd chances.

    Good morning TOD!

PLEASE REPOST IN THE NEXT THREAD since I will likely not be here when it opens.

Jacqueline (aka jacquelineoboomer) contacted me via Twitter DM to request that I let all of you know that her son will be having another procedure today to repair an issue with his lung. Please extend to them your prayers and TOD love! Thank you!
