Awesomeness such as yours, NW, and PBO’s can never be duplicated! Bless your dear self for floating our boat! 💝👏🙌🖖💕

Thanks from me too, Nerdy! Love this pic of PBO and Mikaila Ulmer.

What a perfect pair to help save the honey bees, since PBO’s Admin recently issued the “National Strategy to Promote the Health of Honey Bees and Other Pollinators.” One of the many important things he has done that he doesn’t get enough credit for!

Hoping Me and the Bees comes to one of my local Whole Foods soon!

Thanks Nerdy, High Mighty P at the top of the page. I’m talking to myself back there – so bringing over my post

Truly infuriating – it has taken Donald Trump and mass murder to get the media to discuss/accept that the GOP in congress are NOT DOING THEIR JOB. Suddenly they have stopped blaming PBO for the hatred extended by congress. Just 7 years too late. The media built Trump & encouraged people to vote for a GOP congress. They get what they wanted & suddenly see what they have wrought.

Oh, thanks for asking, MP – son got through procedure fine and will sleep in his own bed tonight, and it’s a wait and see for now to make sure the fix “took.” He’s so thankful everybody’s keeping him in their thoughts! (As am I!)

JO’B, I didn’t know that your son had to go in for more surgery. Keeping you both in my prayers.

Thanks so much – it was his sixth bronchoscopy procedure (to affix more bio-glue so air isn’t leaking into his chest cavity) and not considered surgery, but I felt like it was! Hope it worked. Appreciate all the prayers – they work, too!

I hope the procedure does what it’s supposed to. Although it’s not surgery, I’m sure it still makes everybody anxious. Your son shows so much strength going through all this, and is so upbeat. My continued prayers.

THEY ALL NEED TO BE VOTED OUT! Hey, Bernie…wonder how you would get the magic ponies to shit glitter and get the dark money out with these jackasses in charge…OH! That’s right. YOU WOULDN’T!!

The Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives voted on Tuesday to protect the identities of wealthy individuals and others who make anonymous, or “dark money,” donations to politically active nonprofit groups.

The measure, which drew lobbying support from billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch, was approved in a 240-180 vote along party lines. It would prohibit the Internal Revenue Service from collecting the names and addresses of donors who contribute $5,000 or more to 501(c) organizations, a name that refers to the tax code section that covers them. The action sent the bill on to the Senate.

Although the measure would apply to all 501(c) tax-exempt groups, such as universities, hospitals and charities, politically active nonprofits are the intended beneficiaries.

Republicans said the legislation would prevent the Internal Revenue Service from targeting conservative groups following 2013 revelations that Tea Party organizations were subjected to extra scrutiny.

Political spending by nonprofit groups including the Koch- aligned Americans for Prosperity has grown dramatically since 2010, when the Supreme Court opened the way to unlimited spending on political campaigns by individuals, corporations, unions and other groups in its landmark Citizens United ruling.

My guess for Thursday is POTUS travels to Orlando, meets with first responders and families of the slain & injured, consoler-in-chief. He will likely make a public statement that calls for unity and banning of assault weapons. My heart goes out to him and all those affected.

I’m sure none of these black pastors supports homosexuality, but listen at what they said and what the two white pastors Rachel Maddow show on her show. Those white pastors sound like they were glad the people were kill. I could not believe what they were saying. All the people kill were not gay,

Nate started 538 as a dem supporter. When he went to the NYT he tried to go independent. Trump seems to have stopped all that. His initial reaction was Trump could not win the primary – guess he didn’t know the GOP at all.

        June 14, 2016 at 11:43 pm

Apparently, Nate did not figure the bigotry and hate into his equation.

The covert hate sure came to the surface with Trump’s campaign. GOP in Congress have no reason to complain – they led the country to this position.

      • June 15, 2016 at 2:05 am

No one thought he could get that far and Nate has addressed that in several articles.

I do understand that mary – I was just thinking alive that the fact that Trump did get that far – has Nate thinking that being a dem supporter is a very good idea 🙂

From my view the world is finding it very hard to believe that a major US political party would nominate such a man!

Bob, I can’ thank you enough for all of these updates. We get so caught up in domestic politics that we often forget how much is going on in the world and many more difficult problems other people have to confront. If more people, especially young people, were regularly exposed to and kept informed of what was happening in the larger world, they would see their prejudices and bigotries for the delusions they are. Donald Trump is really a grotesque caricature of what ignorance of the world can lead to. I hope he becomes so universally loathsome that he is seen as an object lesson for the importance of opening our minds to the wider world we live in.
