I think this woman has the smarts and the judgement to be POTUS. She may prefer the Supreme Court. Which ever it is, our nation cannot afford to underutilize her tremendous talent.

I am bringing this over from the last post as I think a little goodness however small help us to keep faith in mankind:

The President spoke about decency and I feel compelled to relate this story my sister told me. One afternoon she was driving across the Throgs Neck Bridge to pick up her son from school and the wind was severe, literally bouncing the car about. She slowed down as much as she could and she said she was so frightened and suddenly a container truck pulled up beside her and drove the entire length of the bridge shielding her from the wind. At the end of the bridge he just moved on. There are still good people out there. She could not see the driver because of the height of the truck.

Hi Joy, hope all is well with you. 🙂

It’s the *little* stories like these (that don’t get media spotlight) that add up and speak to that goodness within the American populace that PBO always references. While hate-filled people go around looking for and causing trouble and heartache, average people chip in when they see a need.

My Melanin-Deficient Readers Respond to Negotiate Terms of #BLAXIT
    Awesomely Luvvie — July 12, 2016

Yesterday, I published a post on what Black folks will take with us if we decided to make our exit (BLAXIT) from the United States. It was jumped off by Ulysses Burley III at The Salt Collective and basically, we are taking EVERYTHING awesome. Because we created/invented/brought them.

My white readers realized that they will be left with emptiness, and their comments made me howl. Some negotiated, some hit their wall slide, and some insisted we bring them with us. My Asian and Latinx sisters replied too, because they will be on our side: because minority solidarity.

Here are some of the conversations, from my comments and my Awesomely Luvvie Facebook Page.

Melissa: Heavens, I think us white people are down to dried peas and smallpox.

Josh: I’m just a white dude but I will miss most of this too much. Can I come along if I promise to be cool?

Tesha: Josh, because you asked nicely (and because we might need some manual laborers in Onyxica), yes, you may join us. Just know your stay will be subject to periodic reviews and you’ll be rooming with Wayne Brady.

Lauren: You’re going to leave kitten heels aren’t you? Just for spite.

Luvvie: Hell yeah. We want this to hurt.

Carly: I like kitten heels. My beauties, I will barter with you. I am going to create the IBJLC, the International Black-Jewish Lady Coalition, it will make NAFTA look like a joke. Mmmm, you’re gonna want some of this pastrami on rye, Donna Karan knits and polio vaccines. I will trade you some Law for some Jazz. ❤

Jessica: We gotta take the polio vaccine and any other medicinal breakthrough based of the use of HeLa cells. Just saying.

Cynthia: Welp. With that, white society has been annihilated.

I am hoping the BS supporters who will not vote for Hillary vote for a third party candidate. My brother HATES Hillary and will vote for Trump over her. My only chance with him is to try to get him to vote for one of the other candidates. He was a Ron Paul supporter and I spent months finally convincing him to vote both times for BHO. I hate the idea he would just cancel out my vote by voting for Trump.

I believe that a lot of the “Bernieorbust” supporters were Paul supporters. They all flocked to Sanders when Paul dropped out. If you really believe in the policies of Sanders, how could you vote for Trump? A lot of Sanders supporters were “bandwagon” supporters. They just wanted to be in the crowd.

This!!!! He is that dumb kid who always spoke louder in the classroom without really saying anything of substance, and made his teacher feel that he was really smart. He is a bully who swindled his way to the top. I was really surprised to hear Kornacke explain why he probably won’t pick Chris Christie for VP. Apparently, Christie sent someone close to Trump to jail.

Remember that GWB had a severe drinking problem…….then said he was totally free. To me this looks like he had something to drink before he had to speak, what used to be called “Dutch courage.” He is what I believe is considered a dry drunk. Does the money Laura now has really compensate for being married to him?????

I still can hardly believe we actually survived eight years of him. I did it by never listening to him and turning off the TV whenever he came on.

        July 12, 2016 at 11:53 pm

You might be right about all that, carolyn. And I first learned to “save myself” and turn off the TV for the elder Bush, although comparatively speaking he was perhaps the better one. Every time President George H.W. Bush came on the TV, I’d mute the sound. I swear I never heard a word he said.

I can see their heads spinning right now; especially Nina Turner. 🙂 The last time I saw her on TV, she was adamant that Sanders was going all the way to the convention without endorsing. She probably won’t vote because she is very bitter about something.

        • 95 jacquelineoboomer
          July 13, 2016 at 12:32 am

It’s been sad watching her go up and then down and continuing the pattern. She was a fighter for her state, gaining national prominence. Then she lost an election. Then she became a fighter for Bernie, gaining more national prominence. Then Bernie lost. The only suggestion I’d give her is to learn how to accept the lows if you’re gonna go all in, as well as the highs, and not to grab for every brass ring – because the next one might not be the right answer for you (like I’m somebody to give advice to a politician!!!).

Jacqueline, you give perfect advice. Turner could have eventually won something, if she played her cards right. Her appearances as a spokesperson for BS were hateful. I use to respect her and was rooting for her when she ran for that seat in Ohio.
