Hi Jacqueline, I’d amend that tweet to say … or Hillary. Just anyone else will not do.

Congrats, J’OB on being number one. I think you perfectly nailed down the choice facing all of us. I confess I was initially hesitant about Hillary Clinton because I preferred VP Joe Biden. My second Choice was Gov. O’Malley. Now I am 100% sold on Hillary Clinton. Her selection of Tim Kaine for VP impressed me very much. I’ve got family and friends in Virginia and they all love and respect Tim Kaine.

Great to hear, nath – including that last part about “family and friends in Virginia and they all love and respect Tim Kaine” !! Sounds like a winning ticket, to me.

Monday night, will FLOTUS or Bernie speak first?

How the ‘policy wonk’ Hillary vetted the list and chose her ‘plain vanilla’ veep candie.

Contrast this with the deadbeat donnie’s how can I dump this guy in the last minute ‘vetting’.

Among all the positive emotions I felt today after hearing Tim Kaine’s first speech was one of relief that Hillary had a strong warrior by her side to help her in the days ahead. The primaries were a long lonely slog for her with potshots aimed at her at every turn and only a handful of senators like Warren and Frankel actively helping her. To see the genuine affection between Hillary and Kaine and to hear his heartfelt “friends of the soul” comments made me realize how much this partnership will be a source of strength and energy for her. Kaine, the optimist, has entered the race to put a smile on her face, as well as all of ours.

The zero-fuel aeroplane, Solar Impulse, has left the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on the last leg of its global tour.

The aircraft should take about 48 hours to reach Abu Dhabi, UEA – the place it began the circumnavigation in March 2015.

Pilot Bertrand Piccard is at the controls one final time.

His flight ought to be fairly straightforward, although his team has some concerns about how the heat in the Middle East may affect the plane.

Mr Piccard is likely to have to spend a lot of time at high altitude on oxygen to get above the thermals and the turbulence they induce.

The warmer, thinner air above the Saudi desert also means Solar Impulse’s motors will have to work harder to propel the vehicle forward.

This will require careful management of the energy reserves in the plane’s lithium polymer batteries, to be sure they can sustain the aircraft through the night hours.

    Best wishes, guyz.

Yes. Yes. Yes. He is obviously racist. This is a man who started his campaign with a speech denouncing Mexicans as rapists. This is a man who had to be sued to allow Blacks to live in his buildings. This is a man who refused to disavow the support of White Supremacists and who retweets them all of the time.

There is no question that he’s a racist and it’s astounding that one of our major Parties is okay with that.

    • July 24, 2016 at 9:17 am

Donald J. Trump is a racists. His supporters knows that and they don’t care. That’s because most of them are racists too.

Does anyone have information about theses Wikileaks DNC emails. I have already been in a small fight with some Bernie folks. I am so tired of them going after the DNC now and not caring about Trump. Also I read something about some Bernie delegates getting kicked out of the Convention. I’m not sure where to find out what is really going on.

      July 24, 2016 at 12:21 am

There are 2 emails I have seen on twitter
      1. Suggestion to attack Bernie based on him being an athiest – this was NEVER acted on, but seen as the dnc favoring Hillary (and why wouldn’t they – how long has Bernie been a democrat? if he ever was?)
      2. A long email about attracting latino voters – which to me made sense.

Sorry I don’t have links to them – I read and passed by. Given that Trump has been using them to get Bernie voters it is obvious that wikileaks want Trump to win the election. Never has that mob released anything that damages the GOP.

    • 51 99ts
      July 24, 2016 at 12:26 am

Amazingly – this reads as mainly reality about the emails
      http://edition.cnn.com/2016/07/22/politics/dnc-wikileaks-emails/

Also mentions russian hackers at the end

I’ve seen nothing about Bernie delegates being kicked out – but anything that avoids contention at the convention would be good by me. Hoping that Bernie speaking at the beginning will stop most of the angst.

Thanks 99ts, I hadn’t seen that link. A friend posted something on Facebook about folks getting kicked out. Haven’t had time to check it out till now.

i have found that for the good of my health, I have to ignore those people. they will never quit with their hysteria.

      also they always direct their venom towards Dems and seem to hardly ever criticize the gop and their horrible policies;

we have a candidate and her running mate and they need our support to win in November.

those people will still be complaining during the inauguration and immediately after and during HRC terms

Marilyn, sounds like it is pretty ugly and stressful in Philly. There is an article here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/democrats-grapple-with-intraparty-divisions-two-days-before-convention-opens/2016/07/23/10afeb04-50d1-11e6-a7d8-13d06b37f256_story.html

Hope they get most of it resolved by Monday.

I find it interesting that Wikileaks dumped information about the DNC but hasn’t done anything against Trump and the RNC. Just goes to show you the bias of Wikileaks and is why I could care less about Assange.

    Love this!

Remembering the day one of the guys on my team at work had his ceremony. It was the proudest moment of his life. We were all so thrilled for him. I’m welling up just thinking about it now.

Btw, this was in reference to Senator Kaine mentioning naturalized citizens in his speech earlier today.

    • July 24, 2016 at 9:34 am

One of my greatest memories of working for PBO’s election is the pleasure of registering voters right outside these citizenship ceremonies. They are so deliriously happy and all their family members are, too. And they are so excited to register to vote!! Most unsolicited comments were that they were more than thrilled especially because it meant they could vote for President Obama!

I do not like the sound of the Bernie Sanders group’s antics in Philly. I especially thought their idea of ousting Tim Kaine as VP and subbing Nina Turner was idiotic. First off I think two women on the first time we are trying to even get one woman is too much. Secondly and more importantly Nina Turner has been really awful to Hillary during the Primary. I would not wish her to be a partner to anyone let alone to someone needing to make important decisions and needing a partner to have her back. Nina did not earn her trust. What gives this group the arrogance to dictate to he winner?

GOP and the media are trying so hard to make this happen – I trust Hillary and her campaign to make sure it doesn’t happen. If Bernie himself does anything other than support the nominee – his career in the senate is over.

We have all had – or know someone who has had – a miscarriage. My Mom had a number. She always told me it was nature’s way of coping with a non viable fetus. She was so sad about it. It is beyond hate that this would be a law in any country – let alone one that preaches democracy. I so feel for any woman impacted by this legislation from Pence.

I am surprised at my growing delight in Tim Kaine as VP selection. Will have to learn to trust HRC in these decisions as I trust PBO. Suspect unhappy Republicans who want vote for The Mouth will be drawn to voting for this ticket.

Good Heavens MSNBC are comparing Pence & Kaine on those ridiculous job/unemployment figures taken at completely different times. (and then those DNC emails – fixated on emails) Why CANNOT the media analyse these lies from the GOP. There is going to be 4 months of this media attacking the democrats – why any of them want Trump to be US President speaks to the uneducated bigoted nature of political media.

  44. July 24, 2016 at 9:17 am

Isn’t it funny how Julian assange got those secret American documents in 2009… subsequentoy seekerd asylum in London embassy had had an arrest warrant in Sweden. These documents became known as wiki leaks…

Now all of a sudden… Wiki leaks 7 years later has secret emails of the DNC emails of DWS favoring Hillary?

Not possible unless they were fed from another entity. The time variations are not even close.

This is op research from RNC fed to wiki to drive a wedge between supporters.

And the media is complicit… 😤😡😡
