This is a huge story. Here we have a foreign government interfering with our elections by supporting one candidate over the other. This should be alarming to all Americans, regardless of political affiliation.

Wow! Not sure I knew that. Mine worked in Pennsylvania. He went into the coal mines at age 11, to help support the family. My mother, who never met her grandfather, said she never forgave him for that – but it was what many parents had to do at the time!

I don’ know when my grandpa started but he was still doing it when I was 12- so into his early 70s. He farmed as a youngster, because I know he left school in the 5th or 6th grade. He was the youngest of 12 kids.

      Dear Sen. Sanders:

In the past 24 years, the US elected two Democratic presidents for 16 years, and only one Republican president for 8 years. So WTF, Mr. Indepedent Senator, are you talking about? It’s true that in 2010 and 2014, because of GOP gerrymandering, Republicans made gains in Congressional elections. Republicans also benefited from low voter turn-out in mid-term congressional elections because the “purity progressives” who support you urged people not to vote to punish President Obama and the Democrats for not being “purr progressives.” I hope you and your delusional supporters will live with your conscience by contributing to the election of the of a megalomaniac.

Great, great tweets, Meta! Bernie Sanders, who is still listed as an Independent Senator from Vermont, should never have been allowed to run as a Democrat. PERIOD! I’ve also seen no actual evidence that many of these lunatics disrupting the Democratic Convention are Democrats. As far as I am concerned, a Democratic Convention should be attended by Democrats and a Republican convention should be attended by Republicans. Only registered Democrats should chose the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee. Conversely, only registered Republicans should chose a Republican Presidential nominee. People who detest Democrats and Republicans are free to form their own parties and appeal to the majority of the Americans to vote for them. They should, however, never be allowed to take the Democratic Party or the Republican Party hostage!

The so called Bernie supporters seem to be intent on taking the Democratic Party hostage.

I almost wish that all social media and news outlets would just crash during this Convention so we could focus on what’s happening in real time on the convention stage.

I’m enjoying what I see at the Convention, but, reading these negative comments & tweets are un necessary and most irritating. Let’s comment and tweet about how everyone is enjoying themselves at the convention, how diverse the speakers are and what wonderful and encouraging things they are saying.

      • July 25, 2016 at 7:36 pm

That is what I have been wondering. Is this a Watergate? Since much of my political life has been influenced by that event! I was 10 when JFK was elected; a very smart 10 year old who loved hearing him speak and I always say that is when I became a Democrat. I had to wait until I was 21 to vote, so 1971, by then a college student and married. Then … Watergate! Boom. I was glued to my little black and white tv set for days, weeks. Notepad on the table in front of me and pen in my hand!

      • July 25, 2016 at 10:40 pm

Exactly, AMK! This time it’s Russian mafia, in cahoots with Donald Trump and the so called progressives, who broke into the DNC and stole e-mails, with the intent of discrediting and damaging the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton. I am for throwing some of these bastards in jail/prison.

It seems that the booing has subsided quite a bit. Did the bro’s finally get the memo? Bernie is closing the evening…another concession along with the apology, so perhaps he convinced them to be civil. Perhaps. Let’s see how he likes having to follow the FLOTUS.

      GE Dakota.

I think Bernie’s the last speaker, after 11pm EDT, and after the Keynote Speaker Elizabeth Warren. Means people have the option of going to bed instead of having to endure Bernie and his cult in order to tune in for @FLOTUS and Senator Warren.

Tweet amended to say that Bernie was moved to the end of the program:

I swear this is all Julian Assange. He’s hated Hillary and Pres. Obama since Manning and Snowden. Along with Greenwald they’ve been haters for so long. Wikileaks has been bashing the Democratic party the entire election cycle. Wikileaks even sent JoyAnn Reid intimidating messages at MSNBC. This whole thing reminds of the government trying to stop Dr. King.

That reminds me of the 2008 Inauguration when Dick Cheney’s appearance in a wheelchair elicited the loudest boos I ever heard. After I went home I watched the two stations where I taped the ceremony and the audio had toned down the boos so you could hardly hear them or recognize it had happened. So I imagine a small group’s antics could be amplified so they seem more disruptive than they were upon being there.
