Video is up; no sound yet… Would have LOVE to have been there, however, it has turned cold and I’m not feeling well enough to spend hours out in the night air.
That was a wise decision, ALycee. The last thing you need is to debilitate yourself by being outside in this weather. It was brutally cold and windy today–a real challenge to be outdoors even in the daytime. Please get better soon. You need to be well on November 8 so we can all –Please God–do our happy dance.
Turned the heat on about an hour ago. Didn’t want to do it, however, I refuse to freeze. I believe God will smile favorably on us in November and we’ll be dancing in the streets!
Thanks for posting the link for yesterday’s speech. Unfortunately, the poster for this link is the “Donald Trump News Universe” which might explain the sound problems. All her speeches (back to 2013) are archived on the site Hillary Clinton Speeches at this link https://hillaryspeeches.com/. New speeches seem to get posted in about an hour.
The video above had me sobbing. What an amazing story of courage and mother love and then to find that it was Hillary’s efforts that enabled the child to have the care she needed. Powerful, powerful statement!!
Truth be told, we were already unleashed … we just had to send him an 8×10 glossy of ourselves’ votin’ for Hillary as proof, ’cause he’s too stupid to know it!
That’s an idea, all the Nasty Women should flood his timeline with nast voting pictures… I want to see him lead out of trump tower or mar-lago in a straight jacket!
We need a president that will lead us to a brighter environmental future. There is only one candidate that can help get us there. #ImWithHerpic.twitter.com/m1fTZVyu63
You ran the reelection campaign of a president who invaded a country on false pretenses & instituted a secret global torture gulag https://t.co/Igt7Fsca5o
Has Autumn arrived in central AZ yet? (Just curious, it’s been hotter than heck the past few days, but THANKFULLY it’s overcast and a bit cooler now.)
Didn’t read the page 6 report (figure Daily Mail UK will cover story, since they post salacious allegations, LOL), but can’t help but be reminded that the abominable 9-11 Saudi terrorists did something similar, must be something in the #terrorist mindset.

POTUS baseball team is the Chicago White Sox. FLOTUS like the Cubs, because her Dad was a big fan of the Cubs and she talk of them watching the Cubs games.
Just saw a report on my local news. Molly Cyrus (with TN ties per the reporter) was knocking on dorm room doors at GMU today reminding them to vote early and vote for Hillary. Cool, huh?
Miley may act silly sometimes but her heart is in the right place and it’s great to see her getting involved in the political process. Scott Baio can do the same for Trump, I guess. LOL.
A first from Clinton on the stump. She devotes a major part of her speech to going after a down-ballot Republican. Here she is on Toomey: pic.twitter.com/kYvie0JNJ3
I have tried to play the video in the message for this blog entry but it stops at the same place each time with error message “media can’t be played”….. I don’t know why this is so and how to get out of it
We need a graphic. Is anyone here good at graphics? I’m thinking something along the lines:
This “Nasty Woman” voted!
I’m with Her
+ HRC logo?
Early voting starts here Monday. Anxious to vote but think I’ll probably wait until Tuesday when I have the grandkids and can take them with me. Never too early for them to learn about voting:-)
Good morning all. I will be lurking off and on today. Going to northeast TN (2 hr. drive) to a Sunday event for my college’s homecoming and 150th anniversary. 150 years! Amazing! And, a small world story. One of the grief support groups our daughter was in after our grandson’s death was led by a woman, Kay. This was/is in Chesapeake, VA. Learned that she graduated from this same college 10 years after I did.🙂 We are friends on Facebook; have never been able to meet when I am at our daughter’s. She came for the entire weekend’s festivities so we are going to actually meet today! It seems more appropriate we meet this way than in Chesapeake. I love these small world stories. 😏
President Barack Obama will make a late splash into races for state senate and assembly over the next week, endorsing roughly 150 candidates across 20 states.
He’ll also back a candidate for Pennsylvania state supreme court.
The endorsements—which will come along with a variety of robocalls, social media, mailers, photos of Obama with the candidates taken as he’s been traveling to campaign in recent weeks, and even a few radio ads—are Obama’s biggest investment in state races ever by far, and come as he gears up to make redistricting reform at the state level the political priority of his post-presidency.
This is the beginning of that effort, an unprecedented engagement all the way down-ballot for any president.
The first group of endorsements went public Friday with 13 in Florida, but the White House has a much larger list ready to go, including races in states far from competitive territory for the presidential election and Senate races, “focused mostly on swing districts for maximum impact,” said White House political director David Simas.
Democrats are hoping for an anti-Donald Trump wave to give them more of a defense against 2018 midterms that most expect will be tough for the party if Hillary Clinton wins. With Obama’s approval rating climbing—to 57 percent in the Gallup poll out Saturday—they’re hoping that hitching themselves to the president will make the difference. He’s also expected to hit close to 60 endorsements for House races this week, taping commercials and robocalls for many of them.
this is one of the things that clarified to me that a significant number of Dems are cowards, have no moral core and that they lack basic political judgement …. you as the Dem party have the best President & his historical policies and then you run and hide in fear of a bunch of racists who would never vote for you anyway
So wish they wouldn’t do robo calls. Anyone robo calls me I will not vote for them, regardless of party – massive invasion of my privacy – the calls will not disconnect & I can’t tell them to take their b.s. elsewhere. Worst form of campaigning ever invented.
No way I’m just saying that – I ring their office and tell them what I think. Fortunately it is rare in my world – most from RWNJs – but had 1 from my party of choice few years ago so they didn’t get my vote.
Hillary Clinton is a “distinctly capable candidate,” compared to her opponent Donald Trump, who is “manifestly unqualified and unfit” to be president, according to The New Yorker in its presidential endorsement.
“The election of Hillary Clinton is an event that we would welcome for its historical importance, and greet with indescribable relief,” the magazine says.
In an editorial that will be published in the Oct. 31 edition and is available online, the GOP nominee is described by his “temperamental authoritarianism,” and continues on with a list his reversals in policy positions throughout the years.
Clinton, however, is described as a pioneer throughout her life.
“She has been a pioneer throughout her life, and yet her career cannot be easily reduced to one transcendent myth: she has been an idealist and a liberal incrementalist, a glass-ceiling-smashing lawyer and a cautious establishmentarian, a wife and mother, a First Lady, a rough-and-tumble political operator, a senator, a Secretary of State,” the editors write.
It was literally the only new piece of information in the speech, except for him deciding to have us pay for the wall and then bill Mexico. https://t.co/0czTxz4glB
Trump could have made this same speech at Trump Tower, but of course he chooses Gettysburg. A place where all game show host go to file grievances apparently.
Clinton Vaults to a Double-Digit Lead, Boosted by Broad Disapproval of Trump .
All told, Clinton leads Trump by 12 percentage points among likely voters, 50 to 38 percent, in the national survey, her highest support and his lowest to date in ABC News and ABC News/Washington Post polls. Gary Johnson has 5 percent support, Jill Stein 2 percent.
My thought last June was 27% – not going to be far from that. Still disgusting that the 2 issues bringing him down are the women & saying he will not accept the results. The few policies he has are horrendous – seems most don’t believe what he says – just ugh.
🙂 To me the ideal Aussie holiday is a trip along the coast from Sydney to Cairns – the bluest sea and clearest sky you will ever see – not to mention all the cemeteries on prime land overlooking the sea (I like to visit my roots). Those immigrants looked after their folks.
Shame we didn’t back it with Ladbrokes – we could live off the proceeds.

Hillary Clinton, FiveThirtyEight tells us, is the most dominant debate winner in recent presidential history. They did all that ciphering they do over there and decided she won her three debates by +71, the highest score going back to 2000. She did it by being well prepared, yes. But she also did it, and bigly, by just standing there and taking his crap.
…………………………………………..
And there she sat, smiling, laughing, cool as you please. People ask why she’s winning, and the usual answer is that Trump is such a catastrophe. And he is, obviously. But I say she’s winning mainly because she’s one tough dame. She’s made of steel. And not Trumpian Chinese steel. And even though she’s going to face a wall of total resistance from Congress if she’s president, I say history tells us not to sell this woman short.
………………
All the predictions are grim for the post-inaugural period: She’ll have no mandate, and Republican opposition will be implacable because they’ll know that if they can bring her numbers down by 2018 they can romp in the midterms. For the most part I share this view. But I look back over the carcasses she’s left behind of men who were supposed to dominate her and I think just maybe she’ll figure something out.
Midterms midterms midterms, that’s where the war is won or lost. Hopefully we won’t have a repeat of 2010 and 2014, there will be seats in both houses waiting to be filled.

Congrats Quapiti me too.
Congrats, Ouapiti! Nerdy, as always, thanks for keeping the lights burning bright!

Having a pretty good day. Spent a little time at the campaign office, ran some errands — anything to avoid housework — lol…
I know that feeling – lol!

the ‘base’ of numbnutz can’t even grasp that basic truth.
He’s “such a rebel”…doesn’t follow the rules of the big, bad govt and pay his taxes! We call that being a FREELOADER!

He so should have retired – be great if Hillary can help him lose – although not looking too likely at the minute.

The Dems are finally realizing that President Obama is one of the greatest politicians of the last fifty years.
yup, the cowards ran away from him for 3 stupid election cycles and lost heavily. now, the black man has to clean up their mess. yet again.
Yup
