You think Chris Christie is some where in the audience? 🙂

    • November 7, 2016 at 8:26 pm

Bella, I came here specifically for my moment of petty. So delicious to think of Christie, curled up in a fetal ball, watching CSpan with a tear in his eye, wishing he was with the cool kids…

Sorry Miche, will go high the next time…

Arapaho mentioned y’all were on a new thread, so – if I may – I’ll re-post this. Feeling very nostalgic tonight for what we have had together! This is not meant to jinx anything for tomorrow (I’m Irish and I try not to jinx … ). But I got to thinking of all of the fine men who will help us put Hillary in office – men of democratic values, who can look past gender, like the men of TOD! I salute you!

    ***

Here’s to older men who have seen so much
    Lived through war and peace
    And a family’s homecoming touch.
Here’s to fathers and sons who strive every day
To keep their house in order
Yet make time in their way to play.
Here’s to the young boys just now in school
Who’ve only known a male President
As though it were a rule.
We love you Barack, we love you Joe
Couldn’t have been a better pair of brothers
Sorry you only have two more months to go.
We love you all for keeping us from feeling fear
But tomorrow a woman will win the White House
And (God willing!) we’ll take it from here.

We’ll take it from here! Win, Hillary, Win!

Another good speech by FLOTUS and I loved it when she stood up for the job her husband has done as President. She is proud of the job he has done and so am I.

Because” we are less divided than our politics suggest.” What we see here is the result of kindness, and “going high when they go low.” So glad that HRC and her supporters resisted, in the face of great provocation, the instinct to get low down and dirty. This is the result of PBO’s example of civility and being respectful of other’s point of view. Our leaders set the tone and we have behaved and worked in an honorable way; we have nothing of which to be ashamed. PBO’s way is very difficult, but it is the one that brings lasting, uplifting results. We can do this; we can save our democracy.

Of course, right now, VPOTUS and Tim Kaine are on stage in Virginia

GE Alycee. Hope you’re feeling better.

Another baton being passed tonight, from one VP to the next. 😦 (Love Tim Kaine, but we will miss Barack and Joe, BFFs.)

Thank you, Joe Biden for your tireless work on this project, real solutions to a global tragedy:

Wonderful! Great speeches from FLOTUS, POTUS, and Hillary. Michelle Obama had me, an old guy, totally in tears. She is so eloquent and brilliant, totally magnificent.

    Thank you Philadelphia!

Didn’t want to duplicate tweets, but don’t see that these have been posted here yet:

Just watched the Philadelphia rally! My oh my! What a powerful team! Was on the phone when FLOTUS spoke, and finally had to tell her I wanted to listen to POTUS. He is the master…..His last campaign speech…..just had to see it. No one like him.
I loved David Corn’s tweet…diverse crowd, no signs of hate, resentment, or anger. The ultimate contrast.

When I vote for Hillary tomorrow, I will be taking in my heart, my 4’10” Vermont, suffragette grandmother with me. This vote is for Lois and her sisters…..so proud to do this for her. She was what we called small but mighty. I hope she can see me tomorrow.

This time tomorrow night, we will have a woman president-elect. For this 76 year old woman, that is amazing and thrilling. AND she is the most prepared……..we always have to be.

      Meta,

Posted a response to this tweet below.

I’m beside myself because Twitter won’t let me tweet, reply or quote a tweet when RT’ing.

This morning I had a frustrating experience with a The Hill article — couldn’t read it without authorizing them to access my Twitter account, which I didn’t want to do, but wanted to read the article (I’ve been able to read their articles before without this step).

That’s the only change I can think of — I think I clicked on only one or two other links from Twitter today. Looks like I’ve been muted on Twitter by some authority. 😦

      • November 7, 2016 at 10:46 pm

Oh, no. That is strange. I wonder what happened? I hope it gets straightened out right away.

It sounds to me like your account has been compromised. You shouldn’t have to turn over access to your account to read an article. You might have to open a new account………

An exchange with a friend, a retire Navy Captain:

Pat: After seeing Trump campaign over the last 18 months, I think we should require all candidates to submit a research paper on US and World events with sub chapters on US Government functionality/responsibility so we know they have a basic understanding of the job they are vying for.

Me: Pat, that’s ambitious. Trump couldn’t pass my circa 1965, 5th grade civics class. It is scares me to know that I’m better qualified than the republican party nominee to be President of the United States. Fortunately, my highly qualified candidate has a great ground game. We’ve got this…

    I am serious when I proclaim I’m better qualified…

For some reason, Twitter won’t let me respond or send a tweet.

I Googled this problem and it said to clear my cache and cookies and do a virus scan, which I did and I rebooted, but still unable to send/reply to tweets. 😦

So this is for Meta, who RT’d this:

My twitter response would be: Or that two Presidents are watching the First Lady on election eve.
