That is good to know. The media and some dimwit democrats are trying to normalise Trump. I guarantee he will not get help from PBO – despite it has been offered. Trump is too lazy and stupid to want to learn/understand the role of President. He is outsourcing that to anyone that bows before him.

This year started off horrible for me. February my car was totaled, then my mom fell and hit her head, she hasn’t been the same since. It seems like I’ve met some of the craziest people on this planet. Thank God for TOD and my TOD SoCal family to keep me sane. I read about the AA veteran in Texas who was disrespected on Veteran’s Day by a racist old coot! The white manager took the word of this old coot and would not allow this veteran to have the “free meal” at Chili’s restaurant. I sent them my comments and how come this manager has not been fired? When is one customer’s word gospel over another when the manager did not witness it? How come no one in the restaurant came to the aid of this veteran?

So sorry to hear what a terrible year it’s been for you and your ((( mom ))). Must have been doubly-wrenching for you to see what our beloved Chips has gone through this year.

Did you suffer injuries when your car was totaled? Just awful.

As I Claudius said (back in the day never missed PBS’ mini-series), “Let all the poisons hatch out.” That’s what the voters did to this country last week, am hopeful that PBO read DJT correctly. If you see his positions when he didn’t have a political care in the world, he was pretty socially liberal — don’t know why he’s so anti-Roe v Wade now.

          🙂

  7. November 14, 2016 at 3:22 pm

So sad to hear of Gwen Ifill’s passing. She rose to national prominence in the 1992 election. I was a volunteer for the Clinton campaign in Portland, Oregon then. When Clinton came to Portland in April 1992 I drove in his motorcade. I was the driver for Gwen Ifill and another female journalist from the Baltimore Sun. I remember her as vivacious, very young and pretty. She had big hair then. My last view of her was her going out the front door of the Benson Hotel for a night on the town with the other journalist. I was happy to see the success she had in her career.

Will watch press conference, unfortunately, the jackals are out in force.

You know, PBO entered office with the weight of world on his shoulders, and now, 8 years later, he will leave office with vastly improved economic conditions, but with the world and the US imploding with the chaos of the deplorables taking his place. As Tom Toles’ cartoon in 2008 said, “Black man takes world’s worst job.” 😦

We and China are the biggest polluters. If the fool actually manages to have the US walk away (the good news is one of the tenets of the agreement is that it takes 4 years to completely get out and there is an immediate snap-back provision to get back in) then we should pay a penalty for poisoning the air. Elections have many consequences. It is interesting that many of the international safeguards that were put in place to corral foreign demagogues will have to be applied to the domestic one. Additionally, ruling and practices that the repubs. put in place to go after democrats like the one that states that a ruling president can be sued (Paula Jones and Bill Clinton) can be used by any of the women brave enough to after the carnival barker for sexual harassment and assault.

Seeing these student protests, supports what my 15 year old grandson told me this weekend: “We (my generation) are all Democrats. Just wait until we vote.” He is very informed about issues, and I am extremely proud of him. Now, what makes this important, is that he goes to a suburban DALLAS high school. If the DNC does its job the next two years, positive change will happen. He is much better informed than most adults.

Had a great visit with son and family for granddaughter’s birthday. She and I are the November babies. Have to brag a bit…..for the first time I drove to Dallas and back BY MYSELF. I always had my husband for company before, and didn’t want to face Dallas alone, but I did, and I am proud of myself. Feel like I climbed a mountain.

    • November 14, 2016 at 4:19 pm

This morning, Joe Madison threw out the name of Barack Obama to lead the DNC. He said it was literally a spur of the moment thought. I know that’s no a plausible idea, but interesting none the less. As he just spoke to, BO already has his plans and direction.

Now I say, tell me these white folks aren’t racists bigots. I don’t consider a nude model, classy. Pictures of her naked body every where. That is what racists bigots calls classy and dignified. That is so disgusting. It continues to shock me how people can think/talk about other people — not to mention someone as unabashedly amazing as FLOTUS. My one positive takeaway from the election fiasco is that perhaps it will make our POTUS continue to be active in a way he wouldn’t have needed to be had Hillary won. Hi All

The call to OFA was very similar in content to the DNC call. The part that gave me the most comfort was when he said that he and Michelle would be joining us after they had a short vacation next year. I would hope by March they are helping us organize and win back control of our government.

The sentence I always used with me team was, if he won’t quit than I won’t quit.

There wasn’t a bit of quit in his remarks.

This site will be a critical communication tool for us as we move forward.

Reminds me of that old saying, “Do as I say, not as I do.” That saying is totally reversed in real life. Kids emulate what they see and a good leader leads by example. Trump’s example was of being the mean, bigoted bully which has his supporters copying him. Then he turns around and says “Just stop it!”
