Everything that he says about 45 was out there for all to see, daily, during the election cycle, but too many checked their sense of decency and elected this lying, incompetent, grafter. Even now, the only thing that most republicans care about is that 45 is blowing up all of their secrets and dodges and saying out loud and in public what many of them believe. They can no longer pretend that they are any better than the deplorable and the white nationalists and Russian spies that surround him. They are being painted with the same brush in broad colors and they will only act if/when it becomes clear that they will be brought down with 45.
In the article he says that he voted republican from 1968 to 2004, but does not state if he voted or for whom he voted after this time period. Ummm.

Sad that people were so blinded by his ‘celebrity’. Didn’t seem to realize that you have to be qualified for almost any job most of all the one of President, a job which requires a wide range of knowledge. Trump is one-dimensional, not to mention his other disturbing qualities.

This is my prayer, that Trump will just up and resign and very soon just like Sarah Palin did as governor. In her case it was grifting off her celebrity that she craved but for Trump I suspect he hates the job and now with the serious chance his corruption will be exposed he might just decide to tell us its more fun to be a private citizen. I don’t want Pence but then we will have to deal with that.

    • February 15, 2017 at 7:02 pm

What we need is the evidence that there is no doubt the Russians did give the election to Trump so that they can award the presidency to Hillary. Anything else will be devastating to this country. There are far many more players that have to go and if he resigns, the investigations may end and no one else will be taken down.

    • February 15, 2017 at 7:22 pm

Well, he just promised today to be the one to get an historic deal for peace between Israel and Palestinians so I don’t think he has any plans to go anywhere. And while I think it’s true that he doesn’t care at all for the work of the presidency and has to take weekends off, it’s clear he’s intoxicated by power.

I feel the same way. He is so freaking ugly and stupid and vile. I can’t believe any white nationalist would want him as the face of whiteness but that’s what he has become. And it has redefined whiteness globally. I guess that’s why you see more and more white folks talking about their immigrant ancestry with pride. I love it.

I have deep, personal knowledge of Watergate & the “Pentagon Papers.”

I’d readily return to those days than be living in the midst of what humanity is now encountering.

Vietnam was a criminal travesty of the first order. The illegal activities of the Nixon administration were monstrous.

But, the very extinction of the human race was not in the balance as it is now.

So actually having to govern is too hard and no fun for 45 so he runs to Melbourne, Florida to have a made- for- TV- rally to try to show that he is popular. He needs cheers and applause so badly and he will not get them in DC. Hope protesters show up and ruin his poisonous love-in. He will be showing up with nothing to offer his fans other than empty promises, a country on the edge of a civil war, and the disdain of every country in the world, even those like Russia who hope to benefit from this tool.

Too many people are trying to make 45 and this mess PBO’s fault and I am tired of this mess. PBO gave us a positive example, worked harder and for more days (no running off every weekend) for more people and made this country better than he found it in many quantitative ways. He warned us about the folly of disengagement and the shit show for a government that we currently have is the result. Mofo’s need to back off my president!

    • February 16, 2017 at 8:11 am

45’s mind cannot conceive that he is not as good — as perfect — as he thinks he is. Remember, he knows *everything*; everyone else is a disaster. He can’t blame the people that he has put in these positions because that comes back to him. That’s one of the reasons (besides a failed cover-up) that he’s now trying to blame the media and HRC for Flynn’s demise. PBO left the country in great shape and our relationship with the international community had improved. So he can’t realistically say that he inherited the chaos (although he doesn’t live in reality). So….everyone else will be blamed for his incompetence…because he thought being President/CIC was as simple as his fairy tale perception of being king.

      • February 16, 2017 at 7:57 am

It’s as if they feel that giving a verbal objection or criticism will cover them. They rationalize voting otherwise by convincing themselves (and trying to convince their constituents) that it will be better than [fill in the blank]. A most recent example….voting for DJT will be better than HRC being POTUS.

Earlier this evening, I received a call – didn’t recognize the number, so I didn’t answer – thinking it was a marketer. No voicemail was left, but it was a local number, so because all roads lead to the grandchildren in my mind (Ha!), I got to thinking it might be my teenage grandson calling from a friend’s house (which he may never do, I’m sure, as in never saying to his friend, “Can we interrupt the fun we’re having, since I want to call my grandmother because I just love hearing her voice,” but I digress). So I looked up the phone number online and found it was a Democrat running for our local City Council. Although I pretty much don’t care about local politics, I decided this year to vote in every election, so I checked my absentee ballot and there was his name (thus saving me the trouble of researching one of the choices on the ballot).

Normally, I would have just moved on. I actually called the guy back, and he answered. When I said who I was and was sorry I missed his call, I asked, “You’re a Democrat?” And he said, “Well, yes – it’s a non-partisan election, but I am calling ‘like-minded voters.'” I told him the only reason I called him back was because ESPECIALLY THIS YEAR I wanted to reassure him he had MY vote as a Democrat, since it was all hands on deck. He laughed a little and thanked me.

    Take that, RWNJs! #OneVoteForSanity #RememberTheLocals

The letter from the psychiatrist is potent. We normal people have a very hard time dealing with a personality such as 45, so we assume, incorrectly, that he is mentally ill. My husband always said that a mentally ill person caused himself great distress, but a person like 45 has no internal distress. He causes havoc and chaos and distress to those around him. He is totally synchronous within himself. He feels no remorse, distress, angst…..he is always a step or two ahead of others, and his mind is never off or at rest. Check his 3 am. tweets…..he doesn’t need sleep as he is always conniving and planning, and tossing grenades that others have to deal with.

This does not manifest itself so vividly where he has been before, but in the goldfish bowl of the presidency, with the necessity to work with others, it has become obvious. Expect him to keep going until overwhelming evidence brings him down. He feels NO shame, NO guilt, NO compassion, NO empathy…..he is a totally integrated personality within himself. He will only be brought down by outside legal forces. He will never give in to pressure, as he truly does believe ordinary laws do not apply to him. He will continue to disturb the country and the world. He does not see it that way. He has a worldview and view of himself that we cannot imagine. He is completely consistent in his actions.

    • 91 Bill R.
      February 16, 2017 at 8:55 am

As a retired mental health diagnostician, I would say, yes, DT is internally consistent, and he has a diagnosis of mixed Personality Disorder, Sociopathic and Narcissistic Type. His distress comes from being in conflict with the world around him and other human beings, which brings constant rages and frustration. However, he can be quite delusional within his personality disordered system because he is a closed system, he doesn’t allow any information in that conflicts with his preconceived narcissistic ideas and defense system.

        February 16, 2017 at 12:33 pm

Bill…..I’d like your opinion on this too. I do not believe T will ever resign. He will see no reason to, after all, he is king. He will HAVE to have articles of impeachment brought and be convicted before he is carried kicking and screaming from the WH. His narcissism will never let him agree to resign…..what do you think?

Some intelligence officials don’t trust Trump with sensitive info
    02/16/17 08:41 AM—UPDATED 02/16/17 08:52 AM
    By Steve Benen

The day after his inauguration, less than 24 hours into his presidency, Donald Trump traveled to Langley to deliver an odd, rambling speech to the Central Intelligence Agency. Early on in his remarks, the new president made a point to explain why he was there.

“The reason you’re my first stop is that, as you know, I have a running war with the media,” Trump said. “They are among the most dishonest human beings on Earth. And they sort of made it sound like I had a feud with the intelligence community. And I just want to let you know, the reason you’re the number-one stop is exactly the opposite – exactly.”

In reality, of course, Trump’s feud with the intelligence community wasn’t a media creation; it was a real problem that the Republican created, seemingly on purpose, over the course of many months. Trump, before and after the election, publicly attacked the intelligence community’s integrity, accuracy, and reliability in unprecedented ways.

If this Wall Street Journal report is any indication, it’s safe to assume intelligence professionals noticed.

Right Wing Media on the Bannon vs Priebus Power Struggle
    by Nancy LeTourneau
    February 15, 2017 12:37 PM

While most of us are focused on what the Michael Flynn story and subsequent leaks tell us about the relationship between the Trump campaign and Russia’s interference in the election, Trump’s supporters in the right wing media are consumed with a whole different story.

As an example, take a look at the spin on this opening of an article at Breitbart by Matthew Boyle.

After GOP establishment forces inside President Donald Trump’s White House forced out National Security Adviser retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, sources close to the president confirm to Breitbart News there is serious doubt as to whether this early administration shake-up will also see the exit of White House chief of staff Reince Priebus.

Notice that while the rest of the world is examining how the intelligence community seems to be targeting members of the Trump administration, Boyle simply assumes as fact that the “GOP establishment forces” are responsible for the ouster of Flynn. In a publication that has strong ties to Bannon, his name is never mentioned in the article. But it goes on to lay out the case for how Reince Priebus has failed the president and is responsible for everything from the delay in confirming Sessions to Obama “sleeper cells” all over the government who are sabotaging this administration.

heh.. really rather stupid of them, imo. I had all the “children’s diseases” except mumps.. natural immunity or something as my sister had them.. anyhoo.. 2 dif measles, chicken pox… my 2 eldest sons both had chicken pox but no measles or mumps- because vaccines.. my youngest son had none of these.. because of course by the time he came along there was also a chicken pox vaccine. The only way we’ve basically eradicated these childhood diseases is literally through vaccines. 2 intelligent men putting this out there is disheartening. But if they do away with Obamacare & Medicaid.. then we can count on them coming back and who’ll be hit the hardest- low income folks’ kids.

Has anyone else noticed that anytime there are pictures taken of 45 in the oval office there are stacks of papers all over the desk. I can’t ever remember seeing stacks of papers on that desk when my forever President was in office. 😯

      • February 16, 2017 at 10:41 am

He told the press that all the stacks mean he’s a very, very busy guy, the only president who is doing so much all the time. LOLOLOL.

It looks like a pile of stupid chaos to me, a big mess. My work desk never looked like that. PBO HANDLED everything that came his way. No need to pile up a mess of paperwork to make himself look important.

Plus the Oval office is mostly for certain meetings and ceremony. For real work, PBO had a private office nearby.

        • February 16, 2017 at 12:28 pm

I guess that’s like the stacks of papers where he was supposedly signing documents to blind trust and sever his direct ties to his businesses….that turned out to be a bunch of blank pages…and we know he is still directly involved to his businesses AND using this presidency to profit.
