Congratulations, Desertflower! Michelle Obama is a shining example of what an intelligent, compassionate First Lady can accomplish with her spotlight. Can’t wait to read their books in a year or so.

This type of wicked attacks work for the Left, they hate conflicts. They shy away from this type of wicked savagery. I remember the attacks on Al Franken here in MN in ’08. Sen Obama won MN by 11% and Franken only squeezed in by 340 votes. He was sworn in in July 2009 as MN Junior Senator after so many fights by then Sen Coleman.

Wall Street always ready to accommodate The Donald.

The Dow soared 303 points to close above 21,000 for the first time ever on Wednesday, the day after President Donald Trump’s address to Congress.

It’s not that the speech gave investors the policy details they were seeking. If anything, Trump gave fewer specifics on major issues like tax reform, Obamacare and deregulation than many expected. The key for Wall Street was the tone of Trump’s speech: He sounded a lot more optimistic and presidential than in previous speeches.

“The speech didn’t break any new ground, but it was much more orderly and methodical than we are used to hearing,” said Nicholas Colas, chief market strategist at brokerage firm ConvergEx.

      GE JER.

Had no idea that Hunter and his wife separated around the time @VP declined to run for President (Fall 2015).

      From the article:
“The former vice president and wife Dr. Jill Biden also said in a statement, ‘We are all lucky that Hunter and Hallie found each other as they were putting their lives together again after such sadness. They have mine and Jill’s full and complete support and we are happy for them.’”

Sounds like the lines of communication are open within the Biden family, and everyone seems to be on the same page. Grateful that this news broke after PBO and VP Biden are no longer in the media’s daily spotlight.

The DNC slate of officers also currently includes three women: Vice Chair Maria Elena Durazo, a Hispanic-American; and Vice Chair Grace Meng, an Asian-American, and Secretary Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, an African-American. There are also three white guys serving as DNC Vice Chairs. These people were elected not due to their gender or ethnicity or demographics, but because they were the right candidates based on merit. The Democratic Party seeks not to discriminate, and therefore it organically ends up with a diverse leadership roster that looks a lot like America.

“Obama Administration Rushed to Preserve Intelligence of Russian Election Hacking”

In the Obama administration’s last days, some White House officials scrambled to spread information about Russian efforts to undermine the presidential election — and about possible contacts between associates of President-elect Donald J. Trump and Russians — across the government. Former American officials say they had two aims: to ensure that such meddling isn’t duplicated in future American or European elections, and to leave a clear trail of intelligence for government investigators.

I don’t normally watch Chris Matthews … but happened to catch his interview with Rob Reiner on Youtube … it was hilarious. They said things I was thinking about re:Pence.

Was very disappointed with Van Jones last night and not for the first time either.

Oh, such music to my ears!

(Per CNN) Just five weeks into Donald Trump’s presidency, Republican Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham have already proven to be major headaches for the new President.

McCain has accused Trump of running an “administration in disarray.” Graham called his budget proposal “dead on arrival” on Capitol Hill. And two issues — immigration and defense spending — could provide Graham and McCain new fodder.
The two will make their case to a national audience tonight in a town hall hosted by CNN and moderated by chief political correspondent Dana Bash.

When asked to comment on Sessions’s contacts with Kislyak, Franken said in a statement to The Washington Post on Wednesday:
“If it’s true that Attorney General Sessions met with the Russian ambassador in the midst of the campaign, then I am very troubled that his response to my questioning during his confirmation hearing was, at best, misleading.
Franken added: “It is now clearer than ever that the attorney general cannot, in good faith, oversee an investigation at the Department of Justice and the FBI of the Trump-Russia connection, and he must recuse himself immediately.” (Washington Post)

They are all such disgusting LIARS!

Then-Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) spoke twice last year with Russias ambassador to the United States, Justice Department officials said, encounters he did not disclose when asked about possible contacts between members of President Trumps campaign and representatives of Moscow during Sessionss confirmation hearing to become attorney general.

One of the meetings was a private conversation between Sessions and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak that took place in September in the senators office, at the height of what U.S. intelligence officials say was a Russian cyber campaign to upend the U.S. presidential race.

The previously undisclosed discussions could fuel new congressional calls for the appointment of a special counsel to investigate Russias alleged role in the 2016 presidential election. As attorney general, Sessions oversees the Justice Department and the FBI, which have been leading investigations into Russian meddling and any links to Trumps associates. He has so far resisted calls to recuse himself.

…At his Jan. 10 Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing, Sessions was asked by Sen. Al Franken, a Minnesota Democrat, what he would do if he learned of any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of the 2016 campaign.

“I’m not aware of any of those activities,” he responded. He added: “I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I did not have communications with the Russians.”

Don’t trust those two old fools or anything that comes out of their mouth. McCain is still obsessed with President Obama and spent most of the townhall blaming PBO and even suggested that he didn’t do enough for the military. Lindsay is a liar as well.
