Bringing this over….remember this when they tell you they want the “big, bad. govt out of your business” They lie. YOUR GENETIC MAKEUP…this is what they’re after now….under the guise of “wellness”. My dying ass.

So disturbing to me. VERY, VERY DISTURBING

Instead of denying you healthcare under the new law the employer just won’t hire you in the first place if they don’t like your genetic chances or it will give the insurance companies the opportunity to put you in the high risk category.

How does this make America great again? This just allows employers to discriminate against an employee based on something outside of the employee’s control.

Once that genetic information is passed on to the insurance companies they will in some cases jack up your premiums so high as to price you out of the market and force you to pay a penalty for not having insurance in the first place.

Obscene and Insane. Is Tom Price a REAL doctor or did he get his degree from some quack university?

    • 21 sherijr
      March 12, 2017 at 12:04 pm

You’d be surprised how dishonest some doctors are capable of being… I found out the hard way when my doctor “erred” and nearly killed me… which was bad enough, but it was the attempt at cover-up by her and her colleagues- many of which didn’t even know her- that was the most disheartening. Luckily my attorney was also a doctor- and he was experienced with that game.

I learned that all professions include liars/greed and weak minded folks.

I have health coverage for the first time in four years thanks to Obamacare
    By Leah McElrath |
    MARCH 11, 2017
The people who need help with food, shelter, and health care are not some mythical “other” out there. They are us.

    (AP Photo/Brennan Linsley)
As of March 1st, I have health coverage for the first time in four years, thanks to the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare.
I am 52 years old. I started working when I was 16 and have been self-supporting for almost my entire adult life. Yet, during a temporary period of hardship, I lived in states that did not participate in Medicaid expansion and, while my daughter was covered, I was not. Because of our level of impoverishment, I could not afford the premiums — even with the supplemental support — under the Affordable Care Act. My choice was not between paying for a “new iPhone” and health coverage. My choice was literally between housing and feeding my daughter and buying health coverage for myself.
Just as it was a lie that poor people and millennials buy fancy phones instead of health coverage, there is a simple but huge lie used by Republicans to try to dismantle and eliminate ALL government programs that help low-income Americans: The poor are lazy and undeserving. The GOP would have you believe that there is some massive population of people who do not have money because they simply do not want to work. Conservatives call programs like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP or “food stamps”) “entitlements” because they want you to imagine a bunch of slothful adults who do not contribute to society and feel “entitled” to being supported by the government.
This lie is pervasive and has been repeated for decades. Even those of us who know it is not true have internalized it to some degree. It is a shaming lie, and purposefully so because it is meant to discourage people from seeking assistance when they need it. And it is often racialized to make white Americans believe that the programs are utilized mainly by Black Americans, in a cynical ploy to leverage racism among whites to decrease support for such programs.
But it is all lie. It is the big lie the Republican Party has used to encourage white voters to vote against their own interests for over 50 years.

    Rest at the link….

Agreed, COS. I’m tired of the roller coaster ride. They voice opposition to something, get my hopes up that they’ll do the right thing, then vote for it anyway. Prime example: Mr. “How can I look my 15 year old daughter in the face…” Chaffetz.

Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) is the child health component of Medicaid. Federal statutes and regulations state that children under age 21 who are enrolled in Medicaid are entitled to EPSDT benefits and that States must cover a broad array of preventive and treatment services.

The first time I saw Barack Obama was during the early days of his 2008 campaign when he swung through my town. I had 2 immediate thoughts when he walked out on the stage: 1) he is extremely lean; 2) he is extraordinarily magnetic. And not just that he’s charming or interesting but also that he’s truly someone who draws your intellect and your senses without reserve, a stunning man who is the smartest guy in the room and knows how to communicate directly with you without trying. An amazing human being who knows what he’s doing and cares about it all. And I’ve never had an opposing opinion from that day forward, only impossibly more and more respect and love as time passed by.

That’s because he’s just there to get the oil. Like DT promised in his campaign, he’s going in there to take the oil. Tillerson has a lot of experience in that so he’s the perfect pick. Department of State is just a convenient place to put him on the official chart, but he obviously has no interest in diplomacy, other than the coercive kind that gets the oil. You can bet his Exxon stock will increase in value through his efforts. Ugh.

We shouldn’t be surprised if he’s not donating his salary. It’s part of his MO…making promises for the optics, but not following through unless he’s forced to do so (again…the optics).

If that’s the case, that makes me even angrier for the millions we’re paying for the extra security in New York and Florida…not to mention the revenue he’s directly getting at the taxpayers (of which he is not one) expense.

Seems to be their modus operandi – too many calls- too much American outrage at their outrageous behavior.. and instead of learning or rethinking their outrageous behavior they just hang up on or ignore American’s concerns. Apparently their job is not to serve the people of America, but their own wants & wishes. I have never seen anything like this. It’s not normal and it’s not right.

That’s a very odd pic in the tweet. First, the paper near the dolt’s hand looks to be hanging mid-air. Second, “his” chair looks bigger than the others, maybe because it’s the only way he’d know where to sit. Third, note the two schoolboys whispering at the far right in the background. And I see Pence is making his big move on the left. Oh, and, the missing Russian flag at the rear.

      Or maybe it’s just me.

    • March 13, 2017 at 8:45 am

And it won’t help to *make* the ACA fail and blame it on the Democrats; especially since he arrogantly announced his intentions and especially since people are paying extra attention because they fear losing their insurance.
