“Worry less about what you want to be than what you want to do.” Just heard PBO say that in response to a student’s question concerning failure. Right away I thought of Hillary’s run.

I really enjoyed seeing PBO’s face and listening to what he had to say. I definitely use this video, along with others of him talking to young people, in my country of birth, starting this summer. Yes, years ago, I decided to start a program of public service in FLOTUS & PBO’s honor. My focus is on youth in rural areas & marginalized communities so they can have a stronger voice advocating for themselves & participating more in leadership. Yes , I heard their saying about on voice making a difference .

      • 65 99ts
        April 24, 2017 at 8:22 pm

War is the only way the rump of a president can increase his ratings. I believe PBO told him NK would be his biggest issue – funny how PBO didn’t consider war as a solution but it’s the first thing this idjit of a person wants to do.

Tip from President Obama: “Listening to understand rather than listening to respond.”

It is my belief — a belief that is strengthened daily — that 45 does not the capacity to understand…and his responses make me question his ability to listen.

I miss having a president who will listen and understand *before* he responds. Today I felt like, having traversed the desert, I had come to a much needed oasis where I could quench my soul.

Re the Senate investigation into DT and the Russians– talk about foot dragging.

‘ More than three months after the committee announced that it had agreed on the scope of the investigation, the panel has not begun substantially investigating possible ties between the Trump campaign and Russia, three individuals with ties to the committee told The Daily Beast.
The investigation does not have a single staffer dedicated to it full-time, and those staff members working on it part-time do not have significant investigative experience. ‘

From the politico article on SCOTUS

“A Trump aide said Monday that the dinner was put off due to scheduling issues during this busy week where officials are going all-out to mark the president’s accomplishments in his first 100 days in office.”

Hahahahahaha – would take 1 official, 1 minute to investigate, evaluate and announce those accomplisments.

And on the same tack – Is anyone keeping count of how many executive decisions are being implemented – seem to remember attacks on PBO about same.

Castro faces tough decision as Senate announcement nears

SAN ANTONIO — After U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro wrapped up speaking here Wednesday, completing the latest stop on his statewide tour ahead of a potential Senate run, one man in the crowd turned to another and voiced some ambivalence.

“I don’t know if he should do it,” the man said, alluding to what would be an uphill battle against U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas. “He’s got a good thing going.”

It’s the question hanging over the San Antonio Democrat as he nears an announcement on his plans for 2018: Is it worth giving up his seat in Congress, where he has had a steadily growing profile, for a long-shot challenge of Cruz, particularly when another Democrat, U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke of El Paso, is already running?

Pros and cons in the article………

Tic-tac, tic-tac, Mexico will pay for the Huge Wall of Agent Orange.

      • April 24, 2017 at 8:32 pm

Yeah, 45 was supposedly holding ACA hostage to get funding for the wall. Democrats were supposed to be crawling to him and begging for whatever crumbs he deigned to give.

I guess someone convinced him that it would be better to *postpone* the wall than risk a government shutdown.

Of course, it depends on the last person in the room with 45.

Tomorrow, the pendulum may swing the other way.

    • April 24, 2017 at 8:50 pm

Trump do not suppose to be fighting Americans to pay for the wall, he suppose to make Mexico pay for that wall.
