      Yes it’s so weird that President Obama doesn’t have better things to do than pal around with a bigot. Why doesn’t Trump call on one of the Bushes to help him out? Or one of the many Republican Congress Critters? Leave President Obama the hell alone. He has served his time.

      This is being disingenuous. Why would PBO have anything to do with someone who falsely accused him of a federal crime, outside of all of the other reasons to stay away from this poisonous snake? There is nothing normal about 45 and how he has conducted himself as president. Folks want the Black POTUS to clean up another mess that white folks have made. Not gonna happen. It feels of privilege and entitlement that anyone would think PBO should have anything to do with the abomination in the White house.

        June 12, 2017 at 3:42 am

        Guarantee – If Trump called PBO with some questions the latter would answer to the best of his ability. It’s what sane people do.

        Trump knows everything – he doesn’t need advice. He also doesn’t understand most of what is said in his presence – his language skills limit what anyone can tell him.

      GA Sheila.

      This was an offensive “dog whistle” headline and article.

      @brikeilarcnn and @kevinliptakcnn apparently are on #TeamFUBAR.

      There was this glimmer of objectivity though:
      “‘Even though President Trump may not like it, having Obama out there speaking with leaders, even if it’s critical of Trump, is probably helpful,’ said Julian Zelizer, a presidential historian at Princeton. ‘He might be serving a diplomatic role that the administration itself is not fulfilling.'”

      June 11, 2017 at 7:44 pm

      Can someone please ask Ms. Keilar if it was “weird” that Trump accused President Obama of not being eligible for the office of the Presidency? Or that Trump accused President Obama of having taped him?

      Why would President Obama have any communications with such an awful, ridiculous bigot? If they were speaking, I’d find THAT to be weird.

      It’s what you don’t say that tells the story with these weasels.

      Also, from the link
      “It was reported in February that, at the request of the White House, Burr spoke to media organizations to downplay the Trump campaign’s contacts with Russian officials. Burr was an vocal supporter of Trump’s candidacy and an official adviser to the campaign.”

      Nobody in the GOP wants this inquiry to continue – not one person. They are happy for trump to blow up the US and the world.

    ….. rnc demanding a stop to the russia collusion investigation is a an absurd development;

    … shows that scumbags who make up Team Treason are running scared;

    ….. someone should tell them that attacks on Director Comey will just serve as motivation for many of the investigators who are part of the Special Counsel’s team and most of the law enforcement and intelligence community;

    ….. as for the homegrown demagogue, the tweets and speeches he is using to attack Director Comey may result in an additional charge off trying to intimidate a key witness in a trial ….. so please proceed, scoundrel#45;

    … some scumbags like newt are attacking Special Counsel Robert Mueller => this all won’t end well for Team Treason

      They never stopped harassing Secretary Clinton about her emails or Benghazi but have the nerve to demand a stop to a legitimate investigation into Russian interference in our elections? Did they hear Comey say that Russia interfered in our election and it needs to be stopped? Do they care about a foreign government trying to interfere with our electoral process at all? Disgusting.

    Health Effects of Dramatic Societal Events — Ramifications of the Recent Presidential Election
    David R. Williams, Ph.D., M.P.H., and Morgan M. Medlock, M.D., M.Div.
    N Engl J Med 2017; 376:2295-2299June 8, 2017DOI: 10.1056/NEJMms1702111

    There has been an increase in racial resentment, animosity, and political polarization in the United States in recent years. The election of President Obama played a key role: research indicates that Obama’s election led to increases in the rate of belief among white Americans, especially conservatives, that racism no longer exists.2 At the same time, in the wake of his election, one third of white Americans indicated that they were “troubled” that a black man was President, the Tea Party movement emerged with antiminority rhetoric, resentment toward Democrats increased, support among whites for the Democratic party declined, and white support for addressing racial inequities decreased.2 Obama’s election also led to a marked increase in racial animosity expressed in social media: there was a proliferation of hate websites and anti-Obama Facebook pages, with the widespread use of historical racial stereotypes that are no longer seen in mainstream media.3

    The presidential candidacy of Donald Trump appeared to bring further to the surface preexisting hostile attitudes toward racial and ethnic minorities, immigrants, and Muslims. In a national (nonrepresentative) survey of 2000 elementary and high school (K–12) teachers, more than half of respondents said that since the 2016 presidential campaign began, many of their students had been “emboldened” to use slurs and name calling and to say bigoted and hostile things about minorities, immigrants, and Muslims.4 Not surprisingly, 67% of these teachers reported that many U.S. students (especially immigrants, children of immigrants, and Muslims) were scared and worried and had expressed concerns or fears about what might happen to their family after the election. Even some native-born black children whose ancestors have been in the United States for centuries expressed concerns about a return to slavery or being sent back to Africa.

    One of the first postelection messages on the Daily Stormer, a hate website, claimed that the election was a referendum on “multiculturalism” and encouraged verbal intimidation of foreigners, especially those wearing Islamic clothing. It declared, “We want these people to feel unwanted. We want them to feel that everything around them is against them. And we want them to be afraid.”5 The Southern Poverty Law Center has documented an increase in incidents of harassment and hateful intimidation since Trump’s election.6 Disturbingly, the locations where incidents of harassment have most commonly been reported have been K–12 schools. Other research using relatively small, nonrepresentative samples has documented that incidents of racial discrimination experienced by teenagers predicted flatter diurnal cortisol slopes and lower cortisol awakening response in young adulthood,7 elevated levels of endocrine, cardiovascular, and metabolic parameters at age 20,8 as well as epigenetic patterns of aging at age 22.9

Some days, I may send 2 or, like couple days last week, I sent 4 to 6. Sometimes rather long, sometimes very short. Only occasionally do I send to just one of them. My daughter and I love it and I know other people in my Knoxville groups who use it religiously. It is awesome!!!!!

    as usual, most of the conservatives circling the wagons and continuing to throw their lot in with the homegrown demagogue and dismissing the testimony of Director Comey;

    …. nothing will move them to do the right thing;

    …. not even when it is clear that the nation was attacked by russia;

    … party must come ahead of country despite their flag-waving and claims to support law enforcement;

    …. they were willing to fall in line and vote for a person who is bigoted and corrupt-to-core as long as they get their tax cut and implement policies that destroy the rights and well-being of anyone they consider “the other”;

    … this clearly puts in doubt any of the arguments some make that there is a possibility to change these people and to rely on them for votes ;

    …. it is a sad and frightening state of affairs;

      They literally lived in a gold-encrusted tower and had no idea how the rest of us lived, what we cared about or what we thought, and now they whine and cry because the rest of us do not see them as they see themselves. The y fact that they can be all on television complaining when their father and step-mother #2 told lies about PBO for years and after the vicious way he and his family were treated for years and even to this present day is breath-taking. Their level of privilege, of myopia is not even unbelievable because this is always who they have been. No one in the Obama family and no one on their staffs went on tv and talked about the hatred, jealousy, and racism that the First Family experienced. Even the fact that they think anyone cares about their hurt fee fees speaks to their entitlement. I am sipping tea and giving the look that says, Bitch, please.

      from the plan

      The Senate is everything now. Let’s be clear, if TrumpCare gets through the Senate, it will probably become law. The highest hurdle for Republicans was always the Senate, which means that if they manage to jam it through, there’ll be nothing left to stop it from getting to Trump’s desk. That’s why your focus needs to remain on your Senators. We know you’re tired. We know you’re frustrated. But this is it. And, it will depend on you and your groups
