    Congratulations on 1st and happy Saturday. Organizing for a blue Congress in 2018 is critical to restricting Trump’s and GOP’s efforts to destroy all the progress made under President Obama.

    Good morning/afternoon/night TOD!

    Looking at the photos from our trip to DC last year, brought back so many good memories. I would love it if we could all meet up in Chicago, when President Obama’s library opens.

        Yes, when there’s a definite date on when it will open!

        I got an email from Amazon that I should be getting Souza’s book, The Rise of Barack Obama, that was on backorder, should be delivered by July 5th-7th.

            This past year has made me wish we all weren’t so far apart, or I was a billionaires so I could bring all of us together. Carolyn, it was so special sharing a room. We are all family now. So glad the oils are helping.

    Parting shot. Wuz thinking maybe Donald is trolling the way for poppa Putin in Cuba…a mere 90 miles from Florida.
    The reality: “Putin has agreed to forgive 90 percent of Cuba’s $32 billion debt to the Soviet Union and has signed multiple agreements to invest in infrastructure developments and oil exploration.There are also reports that Russia is in conversations with Cuba to reopen a military base near Havana, which would result in a fully equipped signals intelligence station. A close military alliance between Russia and Cuba could have grave security consequences for the United States.”

      GA/GE BRP.

      GREAT CATCH, highlighting @SenLeahy’s op-ed!

      From Wednesday, @SenLeahy’s Op-Ed article:
      “This week, President Trump is expected to announce his new policy toward Cuba.  If his decision is to roll back the policy of engagement begun by President Obama – as press reports indicate is likely – it would not only harm U.S. businesses and the Cuban people, it would leave a gaping vacuum just 90 miles offshore, for our adversaries to fill.

      The Cold War is long over and Cuba is no longer a threat to the United States. But Cuba, a former Soviet satellite, remains within arm’s reach of President Putin. As the economic and political crisis deepens in Venezuela – Cuba’s post-Soviet patron – Russia is eager to regain its once diminished sphere of influence over our island neighbor.”

      At least one GOP Congressman (AL-01) echoes the same thoughts:

      GOP is completely oblivious FUBAR’s risk to national security — Cuba “policy” is motivated by FUBAR’s #KremlinGate and lust for $$:

    Good afternoon Ms. Chips, Danny and TOD family, I hope all is well with everyone this lovely Saturday afternoon. Congrats wpw, on being first this afternoon.

    Nerdy, thanks so much for helping Ms. Chips and for the sacrifices you’re making for us TOD’ers. 💫🙏👌👊❤

    To all, I hope your generosity becomes ubiquitous, your joy becomes universal, and your unselfishness becomes wall-to-wall today. ❤ ❤ ❤

    I am thankful to God that I lived to witness one of the greatest President of The United States of America in President Barack Hussein Obama ⭐🏆 ⭐🏆 ⭐🏆

    Happy weekend, TOD!

    “Ann Arbor — Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh is in the process of officially asking former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama to be honorary captains this fall for a game at Michigan Stadium. Harbaugh visited with the former president last Wednesday during a quick visit to Washington, D.C. and has worked with Michelle Obama on her Richer Higher education initiative. “We’re making those asks. Official asks,” Harbaugh said Saturday during a break in the Aerial Assault high school quarterbacks camp. “In the process of making an official ask. There’s been, ‘Hey we’d like you to do it,’ and now we’re doing officials asks.” …..The night before he spoke, he and son, Jay, Michigan’s running backs coach, took in a Nationals baseball game after visiting with the former president. “It was incredible,” Harbaugh said. “We had 39 wonderful minutes with president Obama. Saw Mrs. Obama as well. He was great. He was really relaxed, working on a lot of things, book and several things that he shared. Shared a lot of insights.”

    Assuming PBO accepts, we’ll see how big of a recruiting goldmine this will be for Michigan football recruiting….If it is during the Ohio St. game before Thanksgiving to end the season….ohhhh boy! cc: Global an Ohio St. alum!

        • June 17, 2017 at 4:04 pm

          Don, my fella “U” comrade. Marc Richt, has got them boys rolling this off season. Miami has had the #1 2018 Recruiting class http://247sports.com/Season/2018-Football/CompositeTeamRankings for the last 2 months. Auburn has only taken 6 commits so far but had their pre-summer camp/7on7 season recruiting get together 2 weeks ago.

          PS you watching the open? I can believe TOP 4 players in the world missed the cut. Spieth is the only reason I’ll watch tomorrow….if in contention. Day started with 25 with 7 strokes of the leader. Haven’t looked to see today’s 18.

          Born in Ohio, lived in Michigan….the Big 10 is always where my heart is. So, I’m thrilled and hope they accept. I noticed a line from Harbaugh: Working on a lot of things…….shared a lot of insights. Our PBO is not through bettering the country and the world. I keep wondering what he knows and can’t say, and won’t be able to for years, if ever.

    “Mr. Trump’s dealings with the Saudis extend back to at least 1995, when he sold the Plaza Hotel to a partnership formed by a Saudi prince and an investor from Singapore. The deal, for $325 million, enabled Mr. Trump to escape a default on his loans. (The same prince had reportedly bought Mr. Trump’s yacht for $18 million four years earlier.) Saudis “buy apartments from me,” he said in August 2015 at a rally in Mobile, Ala.
    “They spend $40 million, $50 million. Am I supposed to dislike them? I like them very much.”

    As we know Trumputin did not ban Saudi whose population is 95 % Muslim.

    HEADLINE: Six People Have Resigned From Trump’s HIV/AIDS Advisory Council Because He “Doesn’t Care”

    // Six members of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA) have resigned, furious at what they say is the new administration’s regressive health policies and a lack of care from President Trump. Scott Schoettes, Lucy Bradley-Springer, Gina Brown, Ulysses Burley III, Michelle Ogle, and Grissel Granados announced their resignations publicly in a joint letter for Newsweek magazine.

    “As advocates for people living with HIV, we have dedicated our lives to combating this disease and no longer feel we can do so effectively within the confines of an advisory body to a president who simply does not care,” they wrote.

    “The Trump Administration has no strategy to address the on-going HIV/AIDS epidemic, seeks zero input from experts to formulate HIV policy, and—most concerning—pushes legislation that will harm people living with HIV and halt or reverse important gains made in the fight against this disease.” //

    last evening, part of Maddow’s program highlighted pence fundraising for his pac;

    but when quizzed further about the event someone who organized it could only say that taxpayer money will not be used to pay for pence’s legal fees;

    there was suggestion in the program that this kind of fundraising is not something other vp have done;

    my confusion: could this fundraiser not only be used to …… help gop members in campaigns …… but also to pursue his own back-stabber ambitions ….. or pay his legal bills?

    anyone else catch that bit on Maddow?

    what about the strange tweet pence sent out yesterday which read like a loyalty pledge to scoundrel#45???/

    something is not right here … could petty and vengeful scoundrel#45 sense that there is some back-stabbing going on and he made some demands to publicly demonstrate loyalty?
