I’ll be calling my best friend in WV to tell her to call her senator tomorrow and tell her no on this “Trump Don’t Care” bill…Unlike “Obamacare” because he DOES, this is Trump Don’t Care, because he really DOESN’T!!

I don’t know if this is widely circulated by the US press – but the noise that goes into one GOP politician being shot – in comparison to the children shot EVERY day shows where the priorities of the press and the politicians lie.

I feel for every last parent who fears for the safety of their children – especially in places that should be safe – their homes and their schools

Guns kill nearly 1,300 children in the United States every year, making them the third leading cause of death for those under 18 years of age, a new study has found.
Boys accounted for 82 per cent of all child firearm deaths while African American children were some 10 times more like to die from gunshots than white and Asian American children.
Approximately 19 children per day were killed by or treated in an emergency department because of gunshot wounds.
The US congress has met each new tragedy with a steadfast refusal to act on gun control while President Donald Trump has made it clear he firmly supports the NRA’s opposition to such measures.
In February the US Senate repealed Obama-era rules that required extended background checks for gun purchases by some social security recipients with severe mental disabilities.

GOP/nra/Trumputin/KOCH seek to create all-around mayhem and chaos. Under the cloak of vile denigration, contempt and distraction they hack away at the Constitution and undo solid agreements e.g. with Cuba in order to (in this case) give a U.S. national security freebie to Russia while everyone is freaking out.

      • June 20, 2017 at 5:29 am

IMO if he’s going to be Trumputin’s ambassador to Cuba: Rubio must STEP DOWN from the Senate Trump-Russia Investigation.
Even last year his campaign staff were hacked by computers with Russian IP addresses. This year we know a lot more.
If Trumputin’s insane plan goes into action with Rubio’s help — Putin may reestablish military influence 90 miles away in Cuba.
Rubio can’t have it both ways. He is already b-s-ing bigtime for Donald on the Committee.

Imagine it’s (state year) and Republicans have 100% rejected working with Democrats on their secret bill that controls one-sixth of the U.S. economy. Senator Merkley (OR) said to Rachel last night: “They just want to go with the Republicans. They’ve been very clear about that. The irony here is that in 2009 (ACA): “”We had – in just the Senate – a hundred hearings, round tables and walk-throughs. We had the longest ever meeting of the Health Care committee with television cameras rolling while we marked it up. The second longest meeting ever with the Finance Committee. Over 300 amendments considered. Over 100 Republican amendments are ACCEPTED into the bill. And 25 days of debate on the floor of the Senate…and (in 2009) the Republicans said “Wait that’s not enough. We need more input from the People”.
And now they’re at the other end of spectrum and they’re saying ‘NO input’ from the People.””

Good morning JER ! Most expensive U.S. House race in history.
On the special election GA vote today lots of diRty ads (some using PBO’s voice): “Of the 42 non-candidate groups spending money to influence the election, only five are based in Georgia”. (publlicintegrity.org). “Half the outside money came from just two groups, the National Republican Congressional Committee and the (GOP) Congressional Leadership Fund, which together spent roughly $13.3 million propping up Handel’s bid.” (NBC) Ossoff was on Rachel’s show last night. And I saw a wonderful man.

Low maintenance. I haven’t seen/ felt rain in months, so a little rain wouldn’t be a bad thing….just don’t want to get rained out of my vacation:) Don’t worry about the sunscreen….I live in the desert. I think their investigation is complete. I think what the Special Counsel’s office is doing now is building a case based on the evidence to prosecute the guilty. I don’t know if people quite understand that the Republican Party is literally a criminal enterprise and the stealing of the 2016 federal elections (presidential, House, and Senate) was a criminal conspiracy. McConnell appears to have been one of the architects of the conspiracy which we can trace back to his 2012 campaign, his obstructionism, and his refusal to hold hearings for President Obama’s SCOTUS nominee. America is in deep deep trouble. The Special Counsel has to figure out how to maintain a working federal government, prosecute the guilty and at the same time AVOID civil war.

THE APPLICATION, which was obtained by Politico in May of 2016, EXPLICITLY CITES RISK FROM CLIMATE CHANGE-RELATED SEA LEVEL RISE as a reason for constructing the wall.” (Think Progress)
Trumputin using climate change to construct a wall around his golf property.

Word Press ate my post so I’m going to try it in two installments:

These are incredibly difficult trying times but just wanted to float a note of hope on the political and legal scene. Robert Mueller is assembling a HUGELY impressive legal team with the breadth and depth of experience from the highest levels to investigate the Trump Crime Family. And please note: He is also planning way ahead to the appeals process! He is not playing!

    • June 20, 2017 at 12:56 pm

The expertise on Mueller’s team so far includes:

criminal law, executive privilege, national security (Jeannie Rhee)
      campaign finance (James Quarles III)
organized crime (Lisa Page, Andrew Weissmann)
      money laundering (Lisa Page)
      white-collar crime (Jeannie Rhee)
      cybersecurity (Aaron Zebley)
      Watergate (James Quarles III)
      flipping witnesses (Andrew Weissmann)
Russian media and censorship (Elizabeth Prelogar)
criminal appellate law (Michael Dreeben, Elizabeth Prelogar)

      • June 20, 2017 at 12:56 pm

There will likely be more hires but what we have so far is a stellar team focused on areas of grave concern to our nation. This will take a long time but I believe it will be the downfall of this treacherous White House. So be encouraged and keep up the fight!!

Thank you for this. Sometimes I feel so hopeless and afraid to be optimistic for fear of letdown so seeing that Mueller is focused on the overarching possible criminal aspects of the Trump clan gives me encouragement.

Honestly, after witnessing this incessant horror show every day, it’s the only thing keeping my head together at the moment. I trust Mueller’s integrity and have researched his team. To say they are FORMIDABLE is an understatement. So let’s go forward with HOPE.
