Only reason she’s doing this now, is because she’s already down in the polls against Phil Murphy for governor. All the newspapers were showing Christie and family on the beach, while he shut it for everyone else. Plus the expense this trip cost us taxpayers, since everything was supposed to be frozen.

      GA DF.

Radio tells me that NJ legislature is in session, trying to get past the budge impasse, so Christie probably won’t see this…

He’s got all KINDS of ways to kill people.

    http://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/trump-eliminate-heating-air-congress-opposition

President Donald Trump has proposed eliminating heating aid for low-income Americans, claiming it’s no longer necessary and rife with fraud. People needn’t worry about being left in the cold, he says, because utilities cannot cut off customers in the dead of winter.

But he is wrong on all counts.

The heating program provides a critical lifeline for people like Perkins, and officials close to the program don’t see any widespread fraud. Guidelines for winter shutoffs by utilities vary from state to state and don’t apply to heating oil, a key energy source in the brittle New England winter.

“It’s beyond my thinking that anyone could be that cruel,” said Perkins, a retired restaurateur who relies on the program to keep warm in Ogunquit, Maine.

    • 49 sherijr
      July 3, 2017 at 7:12 pm

I get this assistance and quite honestly could not pay my heat bill fully during the winter without this help. I see no possible way for it to be “rife with fraud”. Your income is verified and they determine if you qualify.. and your income has to be pretty damn low. We get minimal – very minimal amounts and on disability our income is way below the poverty line.

As you say, it’s just one more way to kill folks, old sick poor folks.

How close is Russian cyber firm to Russia’s spies?

    WASHINGTON
U.S. intelligence agencies have turned up the heat in recent days on Kaspersky Lab, the Moscow-based cybersecurity giant long suspected of ties to Russia’s spying apparatus.

Now, official Kremlin documents reviewed by McClatchy could further inflame the debate about whether the company’s relationship with Russian intelligence is more than rumor.

The documents are certifications issued to the company by the Russian Security Service, the spy agency known as the FSB.

Unlike the stamped approvals the FSB routinely issues to companies seeking to operate in Russia, Kaspersky’s include an unusual feature: a military intelligence unit number matching that of an FSB program.

“That strikes me as much more persuasive public evidence,” said Paul Rosenzweig, a former deputy secretary for policy at the Department of Homeland Security. “It makes it far more likely that much of the rumor and uncertainty about Kaspersky are true.”

This is public information that anyone can ask for but they MUST PAY FOR IT (in California) and they have sign an affidavit on how it will be used. If the Putin Administration insists on getting states information they should put an EXTREMELY HIGH PRICE AND BAR that they get access to this sensitive information. CA has said NO already and hope they continue to say NO!

Hello, TODville! Love and light to each and every one of you. I wish you all the best of everything on this summer afternoon. Thankful to come here and know I am among people who share my heart and mind. Thankful for the news, information, beauty, music, humor, goodness, and everything POTUS and FLOTUS and ObamaWorldForever. NerdyWonka you keep on doing the work and taking the time everyday everynight. It’s ever more precious and my gratitude would fill the Grand Canyon if it were tangible and not spiritual. Thankful for Chips making this homeplace and all who have kept it going. We sit in our woodsy backyard and watch the lightning bugs most nights, and I will imagine each light represents one of you, keeping the faith and moving forward with a heart for justice and goodness. Thankful for PBO out there feeling the freedom from the burdens of office, and spreading truth and strength and goodness in the world. Striving to find ways to do the same.

KOCH/GOP + MafiAdministration is determined to deprive Americans of healthcare that has been provided in ALL developed nations
for a very long time. They want to kill as many of us as possible while saving their own health care. OBVIOUS conclusion imo:
While fighting to keep the ACA – doing beautifully despite McConnell’s lies – we must simultaneously and ferociously pursue Single Payer.
I got told off for saying this a while ago, but still believe PBO would be very happy if it happened.

    We are being tested on multiple fronts; our moral compass about being our sister’s/brother’s is something that needs our collective attention;

    the “analysis” in this article and its implication is something I don’t want to hear;

    From the article…
Almost a year and a half ago, Obama’s former speechwriter Jon Favreau wrote this:

Every election is a competition between two stories about America. And Trump already knows his by heart: He is a celebrity strongman who will single-handedly save the country from an establishment that is too weak, stupid, corrupt, and politically correct to let us blame the real source of our problems—Muslims and Mexicans and Black Lives Matter protesters; the media, business, and political elites from both parties.

Trump’s eventual opponent will need to tell a story about America that offers a powerful rebuke to the demagogue’s dark vision for the future.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

This article resonated with me….because …my story was beginning to become the dark story that Trump and GOP are telling….and that is because deep down i believe that America is a myth…even the founding fathers did not live up to the words that they wrote on paper…there is a constant struggle to make the words of a document real for all Americans…these are the battles we are we constantly waging….the skirmishes that we win on one day only to be taken away on another day…

racism,…white supremacy…white privilege…make so called fox viewers susceptible to the lies of Fox news…..racism…white privilege and white supremacy…causes the bernie bros to attack Pres Obama and the coalition that supported him…

Whenever i get weary…i think of John Lewis on the Pettus Bridge…about to make his 3rd crossing…never knowing if he was going to make it or not…It strengthens me…

    http://shareblue.com/arrogant-intolerant-even-dangerous-the-world-describes-trump-in-new-poll/

Not even six months into his presidency, Donald Trump seems more intent on creating tired, poor, huddled masses than welcoming and helping them.
And his war on the poor and the vulnerable is an all-encompassing, global venture that is already tarnishing the reputation of America in the eyes of the world.

While Trump’s approval ratings hover below 40 percent at home, his numbers are starkly lower with some of our most valued allies.
When asked about their confidence in the U.S. president to “do the right thing” regarding world affairs, Pew research shows a stark contrast between responses regarding Trump compared to those about President Barack Obama:
Germany: 86 percent (Obama) vs. 11 percent (Trump)
France: 84 percent (Obama) vs. 14 percent (Trump)
South Korea: 86 percent (Obama) vs. 17 percent (Trump)
United Kingdom: 79 percent (Obama) vs. 22 percent (Trump)
Japan: 78 percent (Obama) vs. 24 percent (Trump)

According to Pew, “In the eyes of most people surveyed around the world, the White House’s new occupant is arrogant, intolerant, and even dangerous.”
If America was once a shining beacon on a hill, Trump is doing all in his power to extinguish it. But millions of people, both here and abroad, are raging against the dying of the light.

    The WORLD is with us.
