He played the long game, investing the time, bringing others in to share the vision, working to make life better and bring justice to one and all. The world saw him do it and sees his work bearing fruit to this day. Thankful for this acknowledgement of his legacy.

I have to state this for the record: Mr. John Harwood is one of the people who have consistently supported President Barack Obama. He has been firm in his pronouncements about PBO and doesn’t seem troubled by any controverse his public statements may have caused. Ps, I will never forget that he was the interviewer who was talking to PBO when the famous “fly-killing-gate” occurred

    GE TODville.

    This is absolutely remarkable.

The Russian Embassy in the US does not hide their threats — pretty much openly declaring on a bullhorn: US CITIZENS, YOU ARE NOW A SATELLITE STATE OF RUSSIA, all those who do not welcome President Putin will be dealt with accordingly.

    Reminder…

Have these developments been covered on television (thinking Rachel or Lawrence might have mentioned).

Another reminder — Russia has at their disposal a lethal poison that mimics a heart attack nicely (no need for polonium tea now):

Incredible, the nerve they have. These fuckers hacked our shit (and are still doing it). I’d burn the damn buildings to the ground & send them the ashes. [Admittedly, I would not do well in the diplomatic corps]

  5. July 18, 2017 at 9:53 pm

They sure are trying hard but failure to accept that PBO was so beloved will be the downfall of the GOP!

    listening to Lawrence’s guests.

they include is the former Ambassador McFaul, formerly of Russia and Ms. Farkas, former Dept. Assistant Sec for Defense of Russia/Ukraine.

    each of these two just independently stated that for all they know, the Russian translator probably recorded what putin and the homegrown demagogue said during their previously undisclosed meeting;

they share the guess I just made a few hours ago.

if this guess is true, then this is more material that putin holds over this scoundrel#45 …..and of course these details would come out at a place of putin’s choosing and it may as well be edited => potential blackmail opportunity

Hmmmm…Adoptions (Magnitsky Act)…Money Laundering (meeting held in hotel owned by family whose properties have been used by the Russians to launder money)….

Maybe the opposition research excuse was just a ploy for them to pass instructions from the Kremlin while hiding in plain site. As more attendees are exposed, it becomes more obvious that getting the dirt on HRC was a very small part of the agenda of this meeting (if it was even on the agenda at all).

Can’t wait to see what Mueller’s investigation(s) turn up.

          GM SWBG.

It’s amazing to me that only voices in “wilderness” (i.e., liberal pundits and news publications) are calling attention to $$$MoneyLaundering $$$ as initial motivation for FUBAR’s allegiance to Vlad. Now that Vlad is President Putin, there’s no turning back for FUBAR.

FUBAR is trying in vain to escape public humiliation, but Special Prosecutor Mueller is on the case, with ferocious tenacity.

Article (haven’t read yet), but fittingly, looks like FUBAR got involved with Russian mob in 1984:

          Twitter thread:

One of the reasons I think that MSM has been slow to pursue this scandal is they refuse to believe that their cheerleading has helped elect a Russian mobster president.

I ran across this amazing piece! It’s from a “This American Life” project done in October 2016, wherein singer/songwriter, noted Obama fan & frequent Obama WH guest performer Sara Bareilles was asked to imagine what President Obama might be thinking about the then-current election and Donald Trump, but couldn’t say publicly. The result was this song performed by Leslie Odom, Jr. (best known for his role in “Hamilton”).

I am even more scared of this for 2018 than I am of the Health Care bill. I am not sure if people even realize how important voting is and whether they will care, so they may not give the same amount of energy to resist this as they are about health care.

The Republicans Are Trolling Themselves Now
    by Martin Longman
    July 18, 2017 1:39 PM

    …………………………
McConnell’s caucus is not happy, as Molly Ball explains in the Atlantic, yet they seem to be giving the president a pass on this so far. Instead, senators are pointing fingers at their leadership and at the House, while House members are yelling right back.

A House Republican staffer described the fractious mood on Capitol Hill as “Republican-on-Republican violence.” As for why lawmakers don’t train their ire on the real root of their problems, the staffer shrugged: “Maybe it’s just easier to attack people without 13 million Twitter followers.”

This says that democrats are still not enthusiastic to vote in the midterms..
    But trump voters … are?

I would take this with a BIG grain of salt. With all the activism going on, Democrats are likely to vote unless our rights are taken away which is a real possibility, given the voter purges going on.

McConnell still has to schedule the vote so he can say he did what was promised. Why do you think DT is having the luncheon w/ Repub Senators? To pressure them again. It ain’t never gon’ be over til they are out of office. You recall the dozens of attempt when PBO was still in the chair, right?

    http://www.politicususa.com/2017/07/19/dozens-members-congress-introduce-confidence-resolution-trump.html

Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) will introduce legislation on Wednesday detailing Trump’s unacceptable behavior as president and calling for a vote of no confidence in the President Of The United States.

The resolution was announced in a press release provided to PoliticusUSA, “Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice, will hold a press conference on the introduction of a Resolution of No Confidence in President Donald J. Trump. The resolution details President Trump’s unacceptable behavior as President and expresses a lack of confidence in his service.”

    snip/

The vote of no confidence is symbolic in the United States, but it is viewed as a public rebuke of a president and their administration. The odds of this legislation getting a vote on the House floor are zero, and if it did, there is no chance that the Republican House majority would pass it, but the movement towards a show of legislative disapproval of Trump is worth watching.
