I was heartbroken after listening to President Obama giving that speech for Cass Sunstein. It made me miss him, his family and his administration so much. We had qualified people running departments instead of corrupt ones only interested on making money for themselves and the industries that they are supposed to protect us from. Yet 40% of this population still support Trump.

I can’t wait when his people say that “he’s too busy presidenting” when he watches TV and tweets all day. The most he looks forward to is the weekend so he can play golf. Plus that’s the only time the American people are safe from him.

GOP Hatch, Gingrich advocated for the individual mandate and Romney implemented it statewide. Both PBO and Romney had a mandate.
McConnell-Trump = Unconstitutional. As for thousands of deaths caused by their games with health care….the numbers are climbing.

You know, in the end all of us have “pre-existing conditions.” The only one I know about now, at age 74, is diabetes 2. I’m feeling fine right now: I take my meds, eat sensibly, and all the rest. But, at some point, I will die, just like everyone else. And, for most of us, it won’t come “gently” in the middle of the night – just a continuation of a good night’s sleep. There will be problems before whether or not they can be attributed to a “pre-existing condition.”

I’ve never understood this nonsense about “pre-existing conditions.” We all have them (it’s called being alive) and we all deserve decent medical care. Does this mean that the moment your doctor discovers a chronic medical problem, a person should no longer receive good and affordable medical care? I guess for Republicans that’s the way it is because Republicans never get sick, never weaken or die. But, at some point, even Republicans will wither and disappear.

What is needed in the US is universal health care, not heath care for those who are for the time being in “perfect health,” a most elusive state of being at best.

Another day and another tragedy. Woke up, clicked on Twitter and found out about Anthony Bourdain’s death from a apparent suicide. Mental illness is a scourge that is robbing us too much and way too much than we can afford. The last frontier is the human psyche and we need to put more time and treasure in to understanding it.
