Good Morning all. I hope everyone has a great day. Can’t wait to hear this speech from President Obama, my forever president.

Hello to TOD community. I’m here holidaying in London where Donald Trump is currently the most despised world leader, and President Obama still the most loved. Trump knows this and the realization is eating him alive.

Good morning NW, and thank you for your work here in the village.

Why US Media always seem to ‘go after’ those who no longer have the reins, instead of those who actually can and should be curbing the Idiot & Traitorous President is a reflection of their cowardice, imo. (Not to mention their lack of skills re strategy – at least if they intend to effect change)

Maddow: Time for Americans to face ‘worst case scenario’ on Trump

Rachel Maddow notes that what ultimately explains a host of inexplicable developments in the story of the Donald Trump campaign is the worst case scenario that Trump is compromised by Russia, and points to the unfolding legal case as a guide for how to understand what has happened and what to do about it.

My forever president went there in every nook and cranny and spared no one and no country. He also looked like he was having fun. To have him speak so on the world stage after the deplorable one trashed his way across Europe and Scandinavia, is an illustration of the two choices, the two narratives in front of all of us the world over. His speech, his story reminded us of the possibilities, the hope, and even the evidence that the world can be made into a more just, fair and equal place. I pray for PBO’s safety even more than I did when he was president because the forces of darkness that are rising have made him a target.

Ryan Lizza should have seen this speech. PBO is not only speaking up, but he is making sure that the democratic values and spirit will not just move ONE country, but an entire WORLD to action! Lizza is a fool.

Morning everyone. My Forever President was a joy to watch this morning:) Sheer joy!

    Obama Foundation:

“I believe in Nelson Mandela’s vision. I believe in a vision shared by Gandhi and King and Abraham Lincoln. I believe in a vision of equality, justice, freedom and multi-racial democracy, built on the premise that all people are created equal, and they’re endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, and I believe that a world governed by such principles is possible. And it can achieve more peace and more cooperation in pursuit of a common good. That’s what I believe.” —Barack Obama at the 2018 #MandelaLecture

    The Visitor

He had stood at the foot of the King Memorial
Hushed and awed by the paradoxical magnificence
    A symbol of his time

And at the Door of No Return on Goree
    Gazing west
    Gazing west
Where Mandela had visited, years before
And was humbled by stopping to see Robben Island
Where Mandela had rested his head
In an unadorned jail cell, years before
And he brought his wife and daughters with him
As a personal family tribute to those who had
    Gone before

    And at the White House
    Where he resided
He would stare into the eyes of
    Abraham Lincoln, in a portrait
And see the soul of the man
Seeking the soul of his country

    Our remarkable President
    Whom we have accompanied on
    His journey
Stands on the Earth we share
    Breathes the air we breathe
Visits the shrines to our humanity

    And, God willing,
    Continues to gift us with
    Hope everlasting.

Hello village….dropping by for a sec…hope everyone is well!

Former US President Barack Obama recounted tales of his childhood in Kenya to laughter in Kogela on Monday, as he opened his sister Auma Obama’s Sauti Kuu Foundation’s sports and education facility…On Monday in Kenya, Obama said about the new sports and education facility: “When I think of what Auma has now accomplished in building this centre, what I think about is that first night in BR (Baton Rouge in the US) – and first night of going to sleep without running water or indoor plumbing. “And the fact that because she knew where she came from, and how it connected to the young people in this community who maybe haven’t had as much opportunity as we had, it was out of that spirit the wonderful facility that we see today has been built. “So, I tell you that story because I cannot be prouder of what my sister has accomplished. “I think it makes all of us who are Obamas, or who claim to be Obamas, extraordinarily proud. “Three years ago, I visited Kenya as the first sitting American President to come from Kenya! “And, when I was President, it was a little bit harder to get up here because my plane didn’t fit the tarmac up here! “But today I am really coming as a brother, as a citizen of the world, as someone who has a connection to Africa, to talk about the importance of what she’s doing. But also to create a larger context for what’s possible. “I’ve had a chance to look around and it’s a remarkable space, and I’m also very happy to see that there is a basketball court!” …cont 13 min audio in link above:
