Just saying, can MSM stop calling Papadopoulos a “kid”? He’s 31 years old, and on way to prison. No mattwe what his Momma says, or all the interviews he does (“don’t recall”, yet your punk arse pled guilty?). Alrighty now. Yup. 😏

I’m thinking this was meant as less of a mock of a heritage and a language than a sharing of a grand use of words by a professional writer, so here ya go.

So, watching Rachel & Butina’s lawyer brought in a vid to prove she’s in love & not a flight risk! The vid? Butina & dood singing “Beauty & The Beast”. Lawdy! Judge was not amused, to say least. Bail denied, w/ a few choice words. I fell out laughing at the whole spectacle. SNL could make a spectacular skit out of that one. 😂

Am still convinced that woman who came in & replaced plaid shirt guy in Montana, is same one sitting behind Kavanaugh in hearings. The one doing white supremacists finger shit. Where are my Twitter folks? She needs to be identified.

People need to stop underestimating the cunning of the GOP.

They did the same thing to mount an attack on the ACA by setting up case to be heard by the SC, but Roberts somewhat surprisingly saved it. And they will not stop trying to repeal THAT.

Dems better learn to employ some scare tactics, because unlike the GOP, they won’t be lying about what the opposition is about to do.

    have a great day.

    • September 11, 2018 at 7:36 am

Good morning all. My daughter, kids and dogs are on the road headed our way. (Chesapeake, VA) The teenage grandson does not want to leave and thinks it’s silly. She told him she hopes they look back on it and say that they shouldn’t have left…….meaning their home is intact, not flooded, etc. when they return. They are in two cars because one of the dogs is big dog. 😦 Usually NOT allowed in our home. This time, there was no choice but to bring her. Prayers appreciated.

Best wishes to them & you. I hope all is well when they return home- for them and everyone.. that Florence diminishes and doesn’t cause the damage they’re prepping for. But thank goodness they have you to go to and that they were sensible enough to leave- and able to leave.

we always hear people saying that Democratic candidates should do better when promoting their messages to the potential voters.

I believe that in this day and age, we, the non-candidates, can play a bigger role in formulating, sharing, and amplifying the message WE THINK the voters want to hear and is not being pushed by the official campaign of the candidates.

I suggest that we should create a hashtag and use it to ask different creative/artistic types to just “adopt” an issue or a candidate and create independent message to the potential ordinary voter.

Each creative/artistic type should use their talents to remind people to register to vote and also to show the reasons why one candidate is the best choice for pushing an equitable sustainable democracy.

Some people have public relations or communication talents and skills, you know the organic grassroots messages that we used so effectively during the PBO campaigns.

One person who immediately comes to mind is Ms. Ava DuVernay.

    my very, very, … very lousy suggestion for a hashtag is #ArtsForDemocracy;

I am sure others have better ideas

Never mind that her story appears to be full of holes and questions- even IF she thought this was her home, how in the hell does she just shoot someone without questioning them first, without being certain she was in some sort of danger? This whole story makes me sick, like everyone else I’m completely skeptical. Pretend what she says is true for a moment and then you have to wonder if she wasn’t high or drunk or plotting murder- then what the hell kind of police officer can’t tell they’re not in their own home?

      • 56 pkayden
        September 11, 2018 at 8:11 am

I’m not making excuses for her but the only explanation is that she was either drunk or high. I feel so sorry for the family of that young man who did absolutely nothing wrong and is gone.

        • 57 sherijr
          September 11, 2018 at 8:14 am

Yes it’s heartbreaking and a loss that can never be recovered. I’m inclined to believe this was personal- that she set out to kill him & yes it’s also possible that she was drunk or high- because her whole story is entirely nuts.

          • September 11, 2018 at 9:08 am

I don’t care how tired you are, how many 12 hours shifts you’ve worked, this was a home, not a confusing hotel or a strange building. A HOME, where there was a bright red doormat, different furniture, different sights, light, smells and sounds. And her dog was not there. So this is a very big fishy lie that is being perpetuated and I hope they get to the bottom of it. His family and the community need to know the truth.

Not to ruin an observance day, but P and VP and their “women” were out and about. God forgive me but I noticed Mrs. P’s hands are bigger than P’s – when they were fake-placing their hands on their hearts at Shanksville, when somebody gave them the signal. Didn’t listen to either speaker since I choose to truly remember the victims of 9-11, in a quiet way. Other than this snub. Sorry.

Also, Poppy Harlow on CNN said “3 million” people were killed on 9-11. Of course, it was almost 3,000, but at least it was an honest mistake – although it made my head snap for a minute there.

I remember the Obama days when peaceful thoughts and dignity-in-motion were more our reality, which luckily we can continue to feel in our own hearts and memories. I’ll get back to that now!

Stay safe in the hurricane, anyone in its path.

This BEYOND disturbing. I wonder what the people (women) who voted for this monster are thinking now? It just astonishes me that people had the good sense (men&women) not to elect John McCain because of Sarah Palin being too close to next in line in the WH yet these same people elected a man who has as much sense as iQ45 only because he’s a man and rich. His endless lies and boasting yet a Democrat better NOT boast of their accomplishments because it’s self-serving.

Woodward on Trump White House operations: Be afraid

Rachel Maddow points out that while the title of Bob Woodward’s new book, “Fear,” is meant to describe the motivating force within the Donald Trump administration, it also describes what Woodward seems to think Americans should be feeling about Trump’s competence.

    Remember when:
Dicktraitor falsely claimed that “thousands and thousands” of Muslims in New Jersey had celebrated the news of the attacks. (2015)
Next day he claimed his faux celebration “was well covered at the time.” On ABC This Week: “There were people that were cheering on the other side of New Jersey, where you have large Arab populations. They were cheering as the World Trade Center came down,”
When reporter Kovaleski said “I certainly do not remember anyone saying that thousands or even hundreds of people were celebrating,” so Trump did that horrific imitation of Kovaleski, who has arthrogryposis, a congenital joint condition.
Remember: “[My building] was the 2nd-tallest in Manhattan… And now it’s the tallest.” (not true)
2013, 9/11: ” I would like to extend my best wishes to all – even the haters and losers – on this special date.”
2011: Claimed he’d foreseen the attacks.
Meanwhile I foresee Trump – the celebrity in his own mind – being shot from a gold-plated cannon into the next galaxy with all the pomp and ceremony of a venomous murdering tyrant.

In June former U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights called the kidnapping of migrant children “government-sanctioned child abuse”.
Remembering a friend whose wife’s parents immigrated to Canada from Germany. Due to the guilt of what Hitler did he killed himself. The stain upon America due to the atrocities happening now to innocent children in American jails may never be erased. Americans must do what is right.
e.g. Let these families in. Has anyone asked Canada if it will help?

  54. September 11, 2018 at 3:21 pm

Ms. Bachelet new U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights:
The United States has: “still not taken measures to provide redress for the families whom it has victimized.”
“I have been a political detainee and the daughter of political detainees. I have been a refugee and a physician – including for children who experienced torture, and the enforced disappearance of their parents. My country (CHILI) has known the pain and terror of tyranny. But I am proud to say we have been able to surmount divisions and meet vast challenges – shaping institutions which enable greater participation, and greater freedom, justice and dignity, for our people.”
