It’s not Donald Trump who has done that. It’s the entire Republican party and people who vote for them.

Yes, the entire R party and voters are to blame, but if Colin Powell brings attention to dt and blames him for this, that is a good thing. dt is the face of the deplorables, and the Republicans…..
I wondered at the time why Powell accepted the SOS position under GW. I am thinking that he knew GW was ignorant and inexperienced in international affairs and decided he could bring some experience and gravitas to the department. Then, he had to make that awful speech in front of the U.N. He was a tool, in the good ole Republican way. “Me the president” is a good meme that people can understand and repeat.

McConnell doesn’t apologize for what he did to Merrick Garland. Course he won’t, that’s because he’s a disgusting lying rat and so are people like Flake, Collins, Hatch, Grassley, and all the rest of the Republican Senators. I do’t trust that West Virginia Senator, who claim to be a Democrat.

The Vote.org I was trained on helps you fill out a registration form online which you then print out, sign and mail in. I’d say it should be just right for their process. Also it eliminates the concern about the person taking the registration being somehow faulted which is another voter registration suppression tool. Whereas in Indiana which has an online voter registration process, I could not get into the Vote.org to test to see if I could check my status. It was as if it was not accessible in this state so I didn’t use it as a tool in voter registration.

    Trump: What separation of powers?
Senator Merkley: “We have a constitutional process where the president nominates and the Senate reviews the record of the nominee, but we can’t do that if the president uses presidential privilege to block our access to key documents, and that is what the president did in this case…
A hundred thousand documents that were related to his [Kavanaugh’s] service…during his time with the White House counsel…It’s the first time
it has ever happened in our country, that this type of censorship has occurred. It’s a massive violation of the separation of powers.”
(PBO did not claim privileges on any of Justice Kagan documents – she also had served previously in the WH.)

COLLINS and her last 3 brain cells really said this:

    • 71 jacquelineoboomer
      October 8, 2018 at 1:15 pm

And add her name to the charges as a co-assaulter.

    • 72 vcprezofan2
      October 8, 2018 at 1:47 pm

Thereby admitting that she does know Kavanaugh’s appointment has NO silver lining!

Given the things Collins has been saying post confirmation, I’ve led to believe she…..

… lacks self-confidence, and seeks attention by pretending to be making up her mind, thus falling into the centre of media attention.
… is a lackey, who gets her sense of worth from being pandered to. Look at what she’s apparently said about her previous endorsement of Amb. Rice. Likely in a few years of Kavanaugh showing his true colours on the Court she’ll be admitting she only voted for him because Bush, and Kavanaugh himself, ‘pleaded’ with her. Collins doesn’t seem to have any personal convictions she is willing to stand behind when the going gets rough. A sad excuse for a representative imo!

    • 84 Sandy1110
      October 8, 2018 at 7:11 pm

McConnell uses and abuses Senate powers to get what he wants for the GOP when he wants.

If the voters of KY aren’t smart enough to vote him out, the best that we can do is vote a Dem majority to take his gavel away. Of course, he’ll try to be as obstructionist as he can possibly be, so Dems just have to prepare for him to behave as badly as he can.

Fake President under orders to make racism a policy:
Dicktraitor: “Stop and frisk. It works and it was meant for problems like Chicago. It was meant for it. Stop and frisk. And Rudy Giuliani, when he was mayor of New York City, had a very strong program of stop and frisk, and it went from an unacceptably dangerous city to one of the safest city in the country and I think the safest big city in the country, so it works. Got to be properly applied, but stop and frisk works. The crime spree is a terrible blight on that city and we’ll do everything possible to get it I know the law enforcement people in Chicago and I know how good they are, they could solve the problem if they were simply allowed to do their job and do their job properly. And that’s what they wanted to do. So, Chicago, we’re going to start working with you, as of today.”

    • October 8, 2018 at 5:43 pm

Studies of stop and frisk: No “correlation between the use of stop-and-frisk and New York’s reduction in crime. The New York Civil Liberties Union has collected data on stop-and-frisks from 2002 to the present. We can compare that to FBI data on crime rates (including preliminary 2015 estimates from the Brennan Center for Justice) and see how the use of the tactic compared to the rate of violent crimes or murders. …In New York “In four of the past five years, levels of crime fell alongside the number of stop-and-frisks.

You’re going to laugh & cry, MT. It was a beautifully done documentary. I haven’t seen any documentary done this way since. I cry now because am not even sure those sanctuaries for wildlife are still there (this movie came out in the 70s). By human activity (hunting) or human activity (science isn’t real, therefore global warming isn’t so), or even respect for this wonderful gift in our world, etcetera. We, humans are so lacking in appreciation. Maybe that’s the fear? The need for some to subjugate? Uggh, let me get off my “Hyde Park Corner” platform before I yell. 😘

Good morning TOD. We will try!!! We have been gone since last Monday. Got home last night. In that week, Marsha’s gloves have come off as far as her ads are concerned. Her ads are AWFUL. Nasty. Filled with lies. The scary voice. You get the picture.

And then there’s Bredesen–coming out last week and saying ‘if’ he were a sitting senator, he would vote to seat BK. OMG! The Dems have gone crazy. Yes, I am furious, disappointed, disgusted with him, but what most of us (Facebook/Twitter) are explaining to people who are saying they now will not vote for Bredesen: Stop with the purity, #VoteBlueNoMatterWho!!!!! Hold your nose, whatever you have to do, but vote straight blue. Fall in line, not in love and think long-term!!!
