    Afternoon everyone:)

Congrats, df, on being furst from the lovely state of Arizona with a lot of very cool changes since Tuesday! Hopefully more to come soon.

I understand your state elected Elaissia Sears, African American and 24 yrs old, as the youngest Justice of the Peace in the state. A very impressive young lady!

Really??? You know more than I do! Been extremely busy at work all week… so glad you told me this wonderful news! I smell change in the air:)

Hi, DC. Nice to see you. Your comment sent me looking for any info re the new Justice of the Peace (I’d never heard the name before). This is what I found:

A ‘little child’ /not meant to belittle her in any way/ will lead us.

And the final clip I found showed the young lady 7 years ago – I loved the line ‘I’m not one to be bullied’….

Hi vc! Thanks for these videos. I hadn’t seen them. Isn’t she wonderful!

Yeah, Justice of the Peace sounds like the old west or something. Basically they are a judge but they don’t have to be an attorney. And they handle more minor crimes like drunk driving, smaller civil lawsuits, and misdemeanors. And the seats are usually filled by retired legislators. So her winning, especially when she was running against several other candidates, is a really great sign. Her seat is in Mesa, on the outskirts of Phoenix. I think she is going to be a very large breath of fresh air for those people.

She is terrific, CD! I love the fact that she saw an injustice and instead of complaining, moaning and only groaning, she stepped forward to intervene. Seems like a savvy and conscientious young woman. I would never have thought of doing something like this at her age.
              {I googled her name, that’s how I found these. ‘The google’ scares me sometimes at all the info it has amassed!}

Aloha Tod peeps 😃. I’m so grateful for all of you here, especially Nerdy, who keeps this place safe, sane, and encouraging. Loving our forever First couple, always, of course, but look how they just keep getting better! Doing more! Inspiring more!

Aloha, Susanne. Good to see you. I was thinking of you the other day when I had a burning desire to ask you if breadfruit grows in Hawaii, and if it did had you ever eaten it raw. I was researching it online and one article mentioned it can be eaten raw when ripe and I was ‘shocked’.

      • 18 susanne
        November 11, 2018 at 4:04 am

Yes, breadfruit grows here– lots of it! There are hundreds of varieties, so some are best cooked, some okay fresh. The ripe ones can be very soft and custardy, with intense fragrance.
Are you coming to visit? It would be a pleasure to welcome you here!

        • 19 vcprezofan2
          November 11, 2018 at 4:43 pm

‘hundreds of varieties’ – Well that’s an eye opener! I thought there was just one type which could be green or ripe but always had to be cooked. I grew up in an environment where it was present but didn’t really like it (except when it was roasted, then fried). Now I’m discovering that it has ‘health benefits’ (Yea, wouldn’t you know I’ve gotten to the stage in life where I’m more concerned about healthy benefits more than before 😉 ), so have been searching it out in the grocery store here.

🙂 🙂 You do know that getting to where you are from where I am would be **hours** of plane travel, right? and I’m really not fond of flying. I just can’t see myself planning a trip that involves such a long flight, so I’ll likely have to settle for you sharing a favourite breadfruit recipe with me. 😀

Every single one of those NRA / 2A above all else people, should be forced to see what happens in an ER when a gunshot victim comes in… or MULTIPLE gunshot victims at the same time…. and see the grief of those families. They are too detached from the horrific realities

Thank you for posting this, Bobfr. I saw this earlier and forgot where I saw it… meant to bring here.. this makes me livid! Shows what’s important to the NRA and it sure isn’t people!

      • November 10, 2018 at 8:28 pm

Only persons important to the NRA are those they can motivate to buy (even more) guns & ammo + the legislative enablers of unrestricted access to weapons of war. The #WeaponsProfiteers business model collapses otherwise.

    Thank you, NW!
    Harry Truman served during #WWI100
The man wanted to serve his Nation that he lied about his age….he was 2yrs older…no longer eligible to enroll. He had poor eyesights. He failed earlier. Then he memorized the Eye Test Examination, & on a send try….he passed. So it makes my stomach sick that #Doatard Trump made Rain his new #BoneSpurs. Karma will get his arse one day.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, a pro-Russia Republican, narrowly loses long-held House seat, AP projects

The California congressman, who was elected in 1988, has been outspoken in his support of Russian President Vladimir Putin, even defending Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He also is one of President Trump’s strongest backers. Democrat Harley Rouda defeated Rohrabacher in the Orange County congressional district.

Hey TOD night owls. I happened to be channel surfing on cable and found BET is running the Love &!Happiness concert at the Obama White House. There’s about an hour left of the show if you wanna catch it.
I love watching the Obamas sway and dance to the music. Everyone is so happy and beautiful. Good times! I miss them soooo much! 😭

    Good Morning, TODville Community.
On this Day, the actual 100th 11/11/1918-11/11/2018 that WW1 ended.
    History often ignored this too.

We must honor all who gave their lives to save this world.
To all who have served to end Tyranny, Fascism, Nazism, and all those who have served & continue to Serve today…..I salute you! Thank You all for your service.

USDC Judge Brian Morris halted construction of the Keystone project in MT: Yet TransCanada says it is committed to go on building it. Say what? The pipeline would pass directly through numerous ancient ancestral sites of the Gros Ventre and Assiniboine Tribes. That is like trampling on
their own sacred bodies: PBO ruled Nay on the Keystone and Trump reversed it. Hey Trump, how would you “feel” if the pipeline passed through the Russian quarter in Trump Towers? Sick to the back teeth of Trumptown law. Rule of Law please!!
