Whether Joe pulls away from the current situation or not, I’m glad to see some are standing up for him. He’s a decent guy with old ways, who just needs to bring himself forward. It’s up to him, but I like the fact not everybody’s forgetting their relationships with him as “kind and empathetic,” because some people never get to that stature in life.

And this is what I’ve feared most about whether or not he’d announce.

Since I replied to it with “I’m ridin’ with Biden” (which was a “test” from me – it’s how I roll 🙂 ) and McCaffrey “liked” my reply, I think my original take on that word “Gone” (which he added and which was the questionable part to me) was correct that he feels Joe wasn’t cut one break by anybody on attacking his reputation because people came forward.

I am not in agreement with Joe’s invading other people’s personal space whatsoever and he should have known that all on his own, and yet it KILLS me that everyone’s pointing at Biden AND NOT AT TRUMP EVERY DAMN DAY FOR HIS ACTIONS TOWARD WOMEN. It doesn’t absolve Joe, but it kills me that it’s fuel for trumpette fire.

Believe me, I also totally understand that many men (maybe McCaffrey) might be doing that old song and dance routine I used to hear in the workplace (worked for the Navy and we also had Navy Training in the Prevention of Sexual Harassment starting in the early ’90s after Tailhook and heard it there and elsewhere from the civilian employees): “You can’t even hug a woman anymore.”

        Ugh

THIS Jacqueline!!!!!!! The pundits who are commenting on VP Joe are making up stuff simply because they are on these pundit panels. Kudos to Mika on Morning Joe for defending VP Biden and telling it like it is. Biden has acknowledged his behavior and said that he will do better. It is time to move on, unless they want to start discussing the sexual behavior of the sexual predator in the WH 24/7 and do some opposition research on BS since he is actually running for President and VP Biden has not declared yet.

When we think about the word failure we need to, in my opinion, call it a reversal of policies that worked. PBO’s policies succeeded in zero net illegal immigration. If Trump’s we are full idea was even legitimate which it’s not, zero net illegal immigration means numbers are static.

Thing is from the mind of an evil person like Stephen Miller that is not good because brown and black people are becoming a larger demographic in the country so out come the ethnic cleansing policies violating civil and human rights.

The xenophobic Trumpist is thinking it’s a failure because we haven’t deported every black or brown person and we haven’t ended birthright citizenship so we can strip our citizens of their status and deport them too if they don’t meet the racist purity test.

To have this battle with fascism going on in this day and age is horrible given the climate change, health care, and economic work that needs to be done.

The way I remember it there at least 4 deaths were made public. And some children were released shortly BEFORE they died.
It came out that older children were drugged with hallucagenics and abused. It is not hard to realize that the little ones were drugged/sedated. Had to be. We heard the recordings of them crying incessantly and wailing for their mommies, especially at night. And much more. Get Trump and his private prison co-conspirators to The Hague.

This needs to be said. I think Buttigieg is the right messenger at the right time. People of faith that hate all that is Trumpism, who hate right wing fascism, and cruelty, poverty and hate have to speak out and it’s hard to be heard.

Nielsen has resigned. Now TRUMP must resign. We know he has committed Crimes Against Humanity.
Isn’t illegally separating, jailing, losing track of thousands (47,000 now reported) children of all ages, shipping them across the country to wherever, disappearance, adoption without consent, abuse, neglect, sickness and Death enough to put him away?
“The 15 forms of crimes against humanity listed in the Rome Statute include offences such as murder, rape, imprisonment, enforced disappearances, enslavement – particularly of women and children, sexual slavery, torture, apartheid and deportation.”
    “The Court may exercise jurisdiction in a situation where genocide, crimes against humanity or war crimes were committed on or after 1 July 2002 and:the crimes were committed by a State Party national, or in the territory of a State Party, or in a State that has accepted the jurisdiction of the Court;
OR the crimes were referred to the ICC Prosecutor by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) pursuant to a resolution adopted under chapter VII of the UN charter. The ICC is intended to complement, not to replace, national criminal systems; it prosecutes cases only when States do not are unwilling or unable to do so genuinely. As a judicial institution, the ICC does not have its own police force or enforcement body; thus, it relies on cooperation with countries worldwide for support, particularly for making arrests, transferring arrested persons to the ICC detention centre in The Hague, freezing suspects’ assets, and enforcing sentences.
While not a United Nations organization, the Court has a cooperation agreement with the United Nations. When a situation is not within the Court’s jurisdiction, the United Nations Security Council can refer the situation to the ICC granting it jurisdiction. This has been done in the situations in Darfur (Sudan) and Libya. The Court works in particularly close cooperation with its host state, the Netherlands, regarding practical matters such as constructing the Court’s new permanent buildings, transferring suspects to the ICC Detention Centre, facilitating their appearances before the Court, and many other matters.”

-No-one is above the law. No human on the planet should get away with what Trump has done openly and covertly without remorse.

This old quote that I borrowed here came to mind, and it made me re-live a good laugh. When my son was about 10 years old, he and I “forced” my mother to play one of those “fill in the word” games on quotes, late one night when we were all together. The question was “A man all wrapped up in himself makes a ______.” My mother, who made us laugh all the time – even unintentionally – filled in the blank with ” … mummy.” #Goodtimes

Of course, there’s NOTHING funny about trump, so you gotta look for ways to laugh.

Trust me, we are on it! Many people calling and there was a big protest rally Saturday afternoon here in town. (Knoxville). The governor was in town for some dinner. Over 200 people with signs. I had planned on going, but had a stomach issue.

Forgot. They are trying very hard to get two teachers from every Knox County school to go to Nashville Wednesday. Guessing/Hoping other counties are doing something like this. We’ve been battling this for last few years with success. Now, this new R governor is pushing as much ,if not more, than the legislature, for them.

Tim O’Brien is a financial journalist has seen (a portion) of Trump’s tax returns as part of a lawsuit and is under court order not to disclose details. He said: “This is something he is going to fight tooth and nail. It opens a vein. He’s the most financially conflicted president of the modern era. The tax returns are both emblematic of that and a potential road map of what his conflicts might look like.”
(from ‘The Last Word’ on Friday)

      • April 8, 2019 at 12:32 pm

1924 law cited by Rep. Richard Neal, D-Mass., chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee,Neal, states that the treasury secretary “shall furnish … any return or return information specified” in a request from the head of the House or Senate tax-writing committees.
= Toast no matter what guff Trump’s lawyers try on.
