This is why the Messina and Axelrod were wrong to come to her defense and condemn Rosen. They made it look like the Obama campaign was attacking Ann Romney. They should have left it alone until asked. And then they should have mocked Romney campaign, praised Ann as a mom, and then used this to rattle off all the good POTUS has done for women and families. Instead, they helped make her a victim, which was Ann’s entire goal.
As my VP Biden would say, “We’ve seen this movie before.” Ann Romney is no victim. No one will ever believe that -not even the GOP base. And contrary to the garbage that the media has tried to tell you, Sarah Palin actually caused a lot of GOPers to flee McCain and sit home or vote for PBO. Palin did NOT rally the GOP base. The only base that was rallied consisted of those who would NEVER have voted for PBO anyway.

Messina and Axelrod were right to condemn those remarks and for doing it immediately. Doesn’t matter what Rosen actually said or that she isn’t part of Pres.Obama’s campaign. The story is going out as Obama adivsor says stay at homes don’t know hardship. Romney is trying to milk it and any hesitation or waiting in pushing back is more ammunition for Romney.

They did not come to HER defense, whether they distanced themselves from Ms. Rosen’s present and any future comments in regards to Mrs Romney as family is off limits. OK…I like your way too. Either way the Obama campaign will stand up for all women in general in regards to their health, wealth and freedoms. They will continue to leave family out of it. I remember during one of the debates after President Clinton had acted ugly and President Obama was calling Hilary Clinton on it she said something to the affect (sp) that we both have passionate and supportive spouses. Hey I expect Ann Romney will annoy the heck out of me many times defending her hubby. I believe she will do the same for many, many others.

I would love to see him pick McDonnell. He is really, really dumb. He went to Pat Robertson’s law school in Virginia Beach. Rachel calls him Bob “Vaginal Probe” McDonnell because he originally supported a bill to require such tests before abortions. He backed down, but it has stuck with him. He also signed a bill to overturn a law limiting gun purchases to one a month. Gun purchases in Virginia are now unlimited and the state is considered a major source for illegal guns in DC and New York.
I agree with you 1000%. This fundie dummy is my governor, and he’s quite a joke. Maryland Governor O’Malley recently humiliated him in a “debate.” It was quite delicious. Biden would eat his lunch.
And for a state that has had two recent gun-related tragedies at Virginia Tech still fresh on the mind, this loosening of gun laws is simply immoral. But this is what you get when you elect a crazy tea potty legislature and governor.

I doubt many people in America know who Ann Romney is. All of these nonsense will be forgotten in a few days. Let’s not lose focus. The Obama campaign wants the focus to be on Mitt Romney and his disastrous policies for America. Ann Romney is just a distraction like Sarah Pain was 4 years ago. This election is not going to be decided on what was said, or not said about Ann Romney. I say give her some time, and she will eventually show her true color to the American people. She’s just as fake as her inept husband who has no clue as to why he’s running to be the President of the United States.
I turned to every cable channel and lo and behold, they are all discussing Ms. Rosen’s comment. I read the comments on the article written on Think Progress about this issue and not one comment agreed with Ann Romney. Like I said, when all is said and done, I don’t believe that this will change anyone’s opinion of the Romneys.

Press Secretary Jay Carney wil be briefing the jackals momentarily. I expect each jackal to ask some variation of the Hilary Rosen/Ann Romney comments no matter how Jay responds. They will keep asking the question over and over again to ensure the GOP spin gets out on the airways.
The very first question is about Ann Romney. Mitt Romney is claiming Hilary is close to the White House. They claim Hilary Rosen visited the White House 35 times. Jackals focusing on Rosen and not White House policy on women.

Raising children is an extremely difficult job for mothers and fathers. The very first piece of legislation PBO signed was Lily Ledbetter Act. Why did it take PBO to do this? GOP opposed it and presumably still do. When he took office men and women were losing jobs. There was a forum at the White House last week on women and the economy. One of the principle elements of the American Jobs Act was to hire teachers. We have had private sector job growth for over 20 months. Local governments have shed jobs. Republicans opposed that provision. Cuts to pell grants, headstart program, Women Infants and Children Program would impact women. Changing Medicate as we know it benefits would impact women. On and on …….

The single best and most impressive thing Romney has done in his entire adult life is, paradoxically, the one thing he’s least eager to talk about. To shine a light on his achievement is to remind voters of his support for government mandates, while inadvertently making the case for the same Obama law Romney has promised to destroy, regardless of the consequences.
This wasn’t an issue during Romney’s 2008 campaign, because the GOP had not yet rejected the health care ideas they had traditionally supported. Now, he’s stuck between a rock and hard place.

Obama knocks Romney ‘social agenda from the 1950s’

In a fundraising message, President Barack Obama paints a grim picture of what he says Mitt Romney has “pledged to do” as president, and picks up his advisers’ description of Romney as a blast from the past:
He would shower billionaires with more huge tax breaks, oppose setting a timeline to bring our troops home from Afghanistan, starve investments in clean energy research, and make it harder for students to afford to go to college. He’d outlaw a woman’s right to choose and completely cut funding for Planned Parenthood.
We can’t afford an endless war in Afghanistan, a return to policies that hurt the middle class, and a social agenda from the 1950s.
In addition to the “1950s” jab — which is an undercurrent in the whole Hilary Rosen contretemps — it’s notable that a president who escalated the war in Afghanistan is now so openly preparing to campaign on ending that conflict.
