September was a busy month for Pete Souza, so I thought we’d scroll through some images we missed.
Beautiful choices, UT!
Fiiiiirst!
Well, morally I ***am**** first because UT doesn’t count, it being her own post. :???:

Hahahaha. Okay then. Fiiiiiiirst! Congratulations.
Aaaaaaaaaw, thank you UT!
Although, this would have done nicely - Wayne (still in red) celebrating his goal on Saturday:
I give you something nice and you give me this disaster? For shame!
Is that John Terry on the left??
Yes, if by John Terry you mean Wayne Rooney’s brother.
Congrats on 1st Ms. Chipsticks. You guys are funny. :-)
Congrats Cheater!
‘Well, morally I ***am**** first ‘
I am equally in  that YOU would use *morally* in a dispute re the poster being first, or not, on her post!

Very *moral* move! ‘S ‘kay tho! I’ll just pull a Jovie and come back wearing another hat.
“I’ll just pull a Jovie and come back wearing another hat.”

LOL! :-D
What great pictures. Thanks to you all.
Hi everyone! This is for Roberta in MN. I tried to answer your question on the last thread, but I’m having major internet problems today…afraid to go back, so I’ll just answer here.
Res 15 proposes an amendment to to the Constitution to repeal the Twenty-second Amendment, which would remove the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President. Rep. José Serrano, a Democrat from New York first introduced the resolution in 2009.

Remember the fun tweets during the 2012 campaign from Dogs Against Romney (@Grrr_Romney)?
Well, they’ve switched to a new account @WatchdogCauses

Dudette honey, did you see the lovely vintage video clips I left you last night in the voice of one of your heroes?
So VC, I missed it. Didn’t get through much of yesterday’s threads beyond LL’s and Zizi’s excellent essays before I had to go out today. I’ll go look.
Meant “So sorry…” Off to go see.
Here’s the link. I thought you could enjoy it as you were heading off to sleep last night; tonight will work just as well, I’m sure. ;)

Wow! This is WONDERFUL! He looks like a baby! Hard to believe that’s only 11 yrs ago.
Yes, it will work quite well for me tonight. By the time I go to sleep, I’ll probably have watched/listened to it maybe 10 times.
Thanks! :-)
Of course you also noted that part 2 was just below, right? Definitely enough to calm your tired mind as you unwind from your day.
Just what I need. I’m bookmarking them too for future… um, research!
It’ll be like an early birthday present. :-)
Interestingly, the Houston Chronicle published a Business Insider article, which wonders “Did #WikiLeaks Sell Out #Snowden To The Russians?”
So, so hoping that Greenwald meets karma very soon.
Chips and UT, thanks for the memories. They always my thoughts of making sure that I enjoy these beautiful gifts that we have been given. Our POTUS, our FLOTUS, our VPOTUS, our children, military families, our brilliant and brightest minds as POB’s advisors and the beautiful citizens whose lives have been touched by this great President and First Lady. Thank you so much Chips and UT.
Remember, I have said,” Let us enjoy this second term. Enjoy our POTUS and FLOTUS and VPOTUS and Dr. Jill. We have big gifts, so let us encourage each other when Chips gives us a look back. So wonderful. I am enjoying it all.
No form of discouragement will steal my joy. I will enjoy our POTUS and his Administration with gratitude each day.

Arapaho, thanks for highlighting the updates. Much appreciated.
Thanks so much for these updates!
So it looks like Ezra Klein has been trying instigating a lot of Emo-hysteria about PBO’s Fed pick….here he goes again:
What an ass!
https://twitter.com/Dudette9t9/status/379400937095180288
Fixed my tweet
In short, **** him.
In short, **** him. — THIS!
Now Chips, I know you know I’m a little weird, so you won’t be surprised when I ask YOU this. It’s something that has niggled at the back of my mind fairly often and I never have asked before, despite my curiosity. Why would you/people say ” **** him/her”, about someone they are angry at? Isn’t that wishing something *good*/*enjoyable* upon the person? I confess it doesn’t quite gel for me. :???:
Um, VC honey. She’s trying to avoid using vulgar language. Those asterisks are substitutes for 4-letters. Me being the crass person that I am (no offense, Chips) immediately understood that was code for an expletive starting with f. Okay, got it?
Oh, I got the intended expletive from the beginning, Dudette. Virtually living in the village guarantees that, but that’s exactly what I question. If you are angry with the individual, why wish the character a pleasant experience? [I mean, at its best it’s supposed to be a wonderful experience, right? - Yep, I have a weird way of processing my thoughts.]
You’re funny. I will say no more on this particular topic.
I’m destined to live another day in ignorance. :( Ay me.
In short, thank you so much, Chipsticks, for hitting back hard at this cowardly weasel who thinks that he is smarter than the President of the United States. First he spreads unfounded rumors. Then when it turns out that the rumors he is spreading were all lies he turns around and blames President Obama for not acting on the basis of his rumors and lies.
His tweet about Yellen is pure nonsense! Ezra Klein is not privy to President Obama’s reasons for who the President decides to select as Chair of the Federal Reserve. For him to claim to know, with absolute certainty, about the reasons why President Obama may not chose Yellen, is based on pure hubris and elevated self-importance. I really wish all these arrogant pundits, who are driven by their arrogant beliefs in white supremacy, would get this reality into their white privileged heads: President Obama was elected President by the majority of the American people. He does not need a 28 year-old- self-important kid to tell him who to pick as Chair of Federal Reserve or for any other post in the government.
“Good riddance” to both Ezra Klein and Mrs. Ezra Klein is absolutely apropos!
“To deny Yellen the post out of spite or political fear would be, or at least should be, beneath the White House: http://wapo.st/17BV7Rb”
I am puzzled by this Ezra Klein tweet! Is he twitting as a dispassionate objective journalist, or is he twitting this as a passionate promoter/advocate of Ms. Yellen for the position of Chair of Federal Reserve Bank?
My abject hatred of Klein/Lowrey grows by the day.
His “holier-than-thou” know-it-all tweets are annoying enough, but with his sorority-version of a feminist wife, he is even more intolerable than Chris Hayes. Well, maybe it’s a tie.
Wish these desk jockeys would stop second guessing the President’s every frigging move (or non-move in this case). Our President was perfectly candid with the American people and the media when he said he would have no Fed Chair announcement until the Autumn.
Yet the MSM still try to milk a story from their perspective (indignation) from nothing more than mere speculation.
Jeez.
Yes, Klein is busy mouthing-off, while Hayes is still scraping the barrel or waiting to hear from GG (or his emoprog friends in NYC) for the next anti-Obama narrative to push…A bunch of overgrown adolescents who never had to spend a day in their over-privileged lives juggling real-life challenges that many of us routinely deal with.
Is it just me or Ezra Klein has changed ? In the beginning of President Obama’s presidency, he was more rational, balanced in his analysis. He seemed to be able to put things into perspective. In political shows, he was calm, rational, polite. He was never snarky nor mean. What the hell happened to him ?
Could it be that he has been contaminated by the cynicism of his colleagues ? Surely looks like it.
PBO’s re-election seemed to have sent a lot of people into a tailspin….
Klein was routinely very snarky during the 2012 election. May be he was already trying to fit-in in the anti-Obama MSM culture.
This is where I do most of my grocery shopping. I have one within walking distance of my house. Only thing I hate is that I have to bag my own groceries. :) They have pretty good prices.
Ugh! I hate the bag your own groceries thing, but I’d put up with it if they could come here and beat the snot outta WalMart.
Which states do they serve? I would enthusiastically shop at their grocery store if they had one in San Diego.
And a month early, welcome, Danny O’Chips!
“Danny O’Chips”
I paid for him on Friday, so I flippin’ hope he’s all mine!!
WOOOOOF! Congratulations! :-D
Fool
Great tweet, Africa! I am really sick of Ezra Klein!
Good news from South of the Equator!
Thank you, Brazil. (Article dated Sep 10):
That is GOOD news!
What position the WH suppose to deny Yellen? What is that jackass Ezra Klein talking about?
Nothing, Anniebella same as always, Ezra is talking about nothing that is fact.
Media made up their supposed short-list of candidates for Federal Reserve Chairman when Benanke steps down. WH made no announcements about who is being considered, but Obama-haters have been on a tear insisting it will be either Larry Summers or Jessica Yellen. So they setup this narrative to make it into a dogfight, which is B.S. ‘cuz again NO ONE at the White House has said anything about who’s in the running. Summer just withdrew his name from consideration today.
And of course, no it’s “well, if PBO doesn’t pic Yellen (PF want her), it’s out of spite”. Total B.S.
Not PF — PL (professional left).
Actually she would be a great choice, but the President gets to pick who he wants not Ezra Klein or anybody else in the damned media. I trust that whatever choice the President makes, it will be a well-deliberated one and the person will be an outstanding steward of the nation’s economy through the remainder of the President’s term.
Fed Chair to replace Ben Bernanke. She may be eminently qualified, but it’s President Obama’s privilege to make that decision - not flipping Ezra Klein.
He told a lie that the President had already chosen Larry Summers to be the Chair of Federal Reserve! Now that has turned out to be a blatant lie he thought he would issue a pre-emptive attack on the President to cover his lies; especially if the President ends up not selecting the candidate of his choice. Of course, should the President chose Yellen, the candidate Klein is pushing, who was already one of leading candidates according to the President, then Klein would be able to quickly claim credit for being an important person who pushed the President to pick her. In the end, for people like Ezra Klein, it really does not matter what President Obama does. They have predetermined to make sure that whatever he does he will not be allowed to get credit. If he does not pick Yellen, Klein will claim that it was because “of spite or political fear,” which “would be, or at least should be, beneath the White House….” And if he picks Yellen then Ezra Klein and his groupie would loudly claim credit for pressuring the President to pick her. Meanwhile, Klein and his fellow MSM groupies will never acknowledge that fact that President Obama had already selected Yellen as one of the leading candidates to be Chair of the Federal Reserve Bank. Instead, they will insist on peddling lies that President Obama wanted to pick Summers but was instead forced by them to pick Yellen.
From Annie to Ezra to Georgie boy …. a lot of hate gonna on …. as #PBO increasingly is recognized internationally as an America President of exceptional ethical stature who does not bluff.
#TrustBarack
Yes We Can
PBO-hating is a full time job for some
Ok, we need to have a TOD Congressional Hearing into the Blog Tyrants taking First Place away from us!! UT and Chopsticks are both GUILTY.
call Issa, he would take that up - just the sight of PBO’s last name is enough to trigger an investigation
It’s 9:04 pm, Ezra. Does the WH give a fuck if you’re alive?
THIS!!!!! I was thinking they don’t give a flyin’ *#%¥ what he thinks and the other Elmo’s.
Ooh that hurts…NOT
?
Translation: who are you and why should I care?
Dear TOD, I spy a troll. An Ezra Klein loving troll bait. Who knew! Thought the only one who could stand him slept with his ugly mug at night…….SMH. It takes all kinds.
Hi Lisaloves! Anjo is a member of the village, and I think she’s agreeing with you.
How are you (apart from being angry with Klein)? You are scarcer than gold these days.
Hey VC. I’m good, hope you’re well too. Her comment didn’t read like that to me, hence the response. But, okay. If you vouch for her, I’m good with it. :) I’m scarce bc as my mom says: I’ve entered the “real world”. I started my internship and the hours are unreal. I come home to barely eat and sleep. Since starting, I’ve lost 5 or more pounds…. Not too sure, after the scale tipped at a certain number, i stopped checking :/ ………….Who knew “real” work was a natural weight loss supplement? Anyway, I’m so glad to hear from you! :)
GMTA Lisa! I tweeted him, essentially that very same thought.
I just finished watching Spike Lee’s 4 Little Girls. It was hard to watch again. But on this day (Sept. 15, 1963) 50 years ago, 4 little black girls were killed in a terrorist bombing at a church in Birmingham, AL.
Those families are so brave. To be able keep going and even be an encouragement to those of us who can only empathize with them…well I just continue to lift the families up in prayer.
Take care,
tw
Linda, your tweet should be a model for all of us. Sadly the arrogant U.S. media pundits, like Ezra Klein, insisted on telling us who they absolutely knew the President had chosen to be Chair of Federal Reserve Bank. Once that turned out to be false, the quickly changed their tune. Instead, they immediately insisted on demanding who the President must chose. And if the President does not chose their preferred candidate, then the President must be viewed as a coward or spiteful person.
Bottom line: President Obama should have chosen the hated candidate that they were absolutely sure he had picked. This would have made it easy for the media to attack President Obama for making an unpopular choice. Now that it turns out that the candidate they were absolutely certain that President Obama had picked has publicly withdrawn his name from consideration, media pundits, like Ezra Klein, are angry for having been deprived of a convenient target to attack President Obama. Hence the insistence (actually a demand) that President Obama pick their preferred candidate. If the President doesn’t pick their preferred FRB Chair, the media pundits, like Ezra Klein, are ready to unleash attacks on the President FALSELY accusing him of being a coward or a spiteful person.
Our president is busy getting shit done for all of the American people. At no time during his life, and certainly at this point, has he ever wasted time on the haters (who are really jealous people who would like to be him or be recognized by him). PBO brushes off the nonsense and keeps on moving forward.
Things seem to be going from bad to worse for Japan.
A typhoon was expected to make landfall a couple of hours ago:
500mm = 20 inches (!) of rain; apparently has 90 MPH winds
Radio silence from @HirokoTabuchi, who covered Fukushima for the NYT.
This was posted on Sunday.
I saw a tweet from an alarmist to a source I’m not familiar with, so am not posting here, but it looks like Fukushima is in the “cone zone” of the typhoon. Cannot be good news.
As a Japanese-American, I am hoping/praying for the best.
When will Ezra Cryin start talking about Benghazi?
Anyone? Bueller?
This may have already been posted - but the picture says all that needs to be said
http://www.thepeoplesview.net/2013/09/ezra-kleins-concern-trolling-on-obama.html
Ezra Klein’s concern trolling on Obama and the Federal Reserve
Ha! Tweetage already!
Lots of tweets - the happy couple obviously need more golf.
:-)
These pundits are so arrogant that they NEVER admit they are wrong about anything.Maybe this arrogance comes with being on TV.
If they respond to a tweet that they perceive as a negative (which is often just questioning something they’ve tweeted) the response is arrogant & condescending.
As Chips said **** him. I can give as good as I get. Often better.
What ho, peeps? What have I missed today? I decided to stay off the intertubes for most of the day. Had a friend going through relationship troubles over and we took her out to dinner.
Hey LL! Good to see you!
some people just need to chill and wait for real information to come from the WH.
the same people always take us through this back and forth and then when PBO acts, they just pick up and go to another “shinny object”
I can’t believe it’s only 10pm-ish and I’m sitting here nodding. off to sleep.repeatedly.
G’Night, everyone. I’m definitely sleepy. Sweet dreams when you retire for the night.
New post.
