He issued a preliminary injunction against the NSA surveillance programme but suspended the order to allow for an appeal by the justice department.

He then asked, “How can you Americans stand to live there with those Republicans?” He went on to talk about how unfortunate it is that so many in a country that claims to be so progressive is so completely racist…Your President is a lot like the honorable Nelson Mandela.” Suddenly, someone hoisted a fist and yelled, “Mandela….Obama” and the place started to rock with a chant…”Mandela…Obama”. There were hundreds of people. Someone asked, “Do you know why we say Americans are so spoiled?”…..”we would be in the streets by the many thousands.”
Groups of us, from everywhere imaginable were able to chat for hours. No one there thought Snowden was a hero, quite the opposite.

I also speak Italian and sometimes read Italian newspapers and have seen many of the Guardian, etc. NSA-related articles get quoted by L’Unità, etc. Then, after there are the inevitable corrections of the original inaccurate articles, the corrections never seem to get noticed.
I often worry that all the Haters/MSM noise from the USA’s coalition of the privileged and the prejudiced will somehow influence how our fellow humans around the world see our amazing and transformative President Obama. Glad to see that the USMSM noise is not working on the rest of the world and that Snowden and GG’s rightwing Snowjob isn’t working!
