Sorry, JO’B, your computer was dealing with my iPad and whatever HF uses to connect, then sabreen was making her presence known, and it was all very jiggy for a bit! ;)

Yes, I noticed that! Too funny - I could “take on” a lot of things and keep my wits, but see “Leave a comment” and my hands practically start shaking! That inner competitive streak in all of us political animals - when we see the chance to grab some raw meat first - seems to take over, eh?

Congrats on #1, hopefruit2! I read some where that Chuck Todd told Americans that President Obama is so unpopular that no one wants to be seen with him. Might be a good idea to share this tweet with Chuckie!

Forgot that Yardarm had passed this on earlier for posting on TOD, during the last few days of Black History Month, as another of his contributions (while he’s in and out of super lurk mode this week - hope he didn’t come back in to post this himself, by the time I got it in)!

It’s a link to “Vintage Black Beauty & History” photographs on Pinterest, and they run the gamut from raw morbidity to tragic racism to stunningly beautiful images of days gone by and people who should not be forgotten …

Transitioned to OS X Mavericks and damn….damn….wow…wow…..WOW!

I’ve been in amazement all day.

This is why Apple is dominating the computer and laptop game. They make the user experience and interface so freaking sweeeeeet!

They make you want to make love to your computer or laptop. That’s how awesome it is.

When you pony up the money to purchase an expensive piece of machinery, you expect it to deliver and I have to say, for all the outside chatter that comes with Apple, they deliver when it comes to computer products.

The science team sifting data from the US space agency’s (Nasa) Kepler telescope says it has identified 715 new planets beyond our Solar System.

This is a huge new haul.

In the nearly two decades since the first so-called exoplanet was discovered, researchers had claimed the detection of just over 1,000 new worlds.

Before Wednesday, the Kepler spacecraft had confirmed the existence of 246 exoplanets. It has now pushed this number up to 961. That is more than half of all the discoveries made in the field over the past 20 years.

“This is the largest windfall of planets that’s ever been announced at one time,” said Douglas Hudgins from Nasa’s astrophysics division.

I am not done yet (and I have to go to actual work tomorrow), but God, do I ever miss you guys! SO much, that I had to stick my head in in the middle of evaluating an excessively boring application. If I let myself linger, I won’t get the last 4 done before going to bed, but I couldn’t hold out another minute without a fix. Toodle-di-doo until after work tomorrow! [This will definitely be a major catch-up to TOD weekend for me! ]

I feel better just from this quick peek in - Now off I go again!

Jacqueline, as you know, I’m doing what little I can to bring the spotlight to both President Clinton and Secretary Clinton in terms of what they are doing (or not) to get DEMS elected on 4 Nov 2014. They can nurture their respective narcissistic disabilities all they want - as long as they are busting their butts to get more Federal, State, County and City DEMS elected :)

In a letter explaining her veto, Brewer calls out Obama: “The concerns raised by the proponents of this bill are not unfounded. As a result of actions taken by the Obama Administration, as well as some federal and out-of-state courts, I am increasingly concerned about government’s encroachment upon our religious freedoms.?

  22. 70 99ts

Most here would agree with Jim Wright at Stonekettle on Brewer and the RW legislature in Arizona

    http://www.stonekettle.com/2014/02/30-pieces-of-silver.html

” … nothing, and I mean nothing, demonstrates the bottomless hypocrisy and the absolute moral cowardice of the religious fanatics who’ve taken over the Arizona legislature than this veto.

    Nothing.
Arizona Republican Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake urged Governor Brewer to veto SB 1062, because, according to McCain, implementation of the law would be “devastating.?
    Devastating to the state. Economically.
    Devastating to business. Financially.
    Devastating to Republicans. Politically.
But not devastating to actual people – especially the gay ones who are apparently not John McCain’s concern. “

Morning everyone:) From Jim Wright’s latest at Stonekettle Station ( A MUST READ….he hit the nail on the head perfectly)

Make no mistake whatsoever, Folks, if Arizona republicans could have gotten away with it, if they could have signed this bill into law and only gay people and non-Christians would have been negatively affected, they damned well would have – that was the entire point of SB 1062 in the first place.

Instead, Brewer’s veto lays bare the hypocrisy of this blighted ideology and shows it for what it really is: hate for hate’s sake and nothing more.

Common sense, human dignity, and liberty did not prevail today in Arizona.

Right won out only because these people worship power and money far more than they love their small and hateful God.

They won’t do what’s right, but they can usually be counted on to do what is profitable.

And let that be a lesson for future battles.

This is the exact point that I made yesterday…..make NO MISTAKE, this is the truth of the matter. Arizona…..It’s A Dry Hate.
