VC. I wish I understood the full implications of the sanctions on Russia and what that means in real life. Also, what is the EU doing? specifically Germany. Maybe all that will be revealed when Angela Merkel visits the WH on Friday.
Morning, jackie…morning TOD:) I read that all the other members of the G7 can impose their own sanctions individually as countries. I hope that all of them do just that, and that each one significantly pulls the noose tighter for Putin.

I confess I don’t understand it all myself, but I have this personal wait and see, one-day-at-a-time attitude. Truthfully, I find a lot of this world stuff overwhelming, and often depressing, so (coward that I am mentally) I break it into small bites. The fact that President Obama, whom I trust implicitly, is involved makes it easier for me to do this without any apprehension. I know this approach wouldn’t work for everyone, but it’s the proven way for *me* to stop my mind from churning and worrying and tearing my hair out when there’s not much I can do. Indeed, even if I got the complete picture explained to me today, I suspect that it would be way over my head, so the step-by-step approach works well.
{A very selfish answer, I know JG, but I’m being truthful.}
VC, that answer makes perfect sense to me. Mr. G always reminds me that if I can’t do anything about something, I need to stop worrying about it. Of course, I worry anyway.

Good morning TOD. John Oliver’s new show on HBO was hysterical last night. It is a news show but not political, so much as talking about newscoverage in general. 1/2 hour live every Sunday at 11:00 and repeated throughout the week.
In other news the bully thug Repub Congressman Michael Grimm was indicted this morning.
And i cannot wait to hear what the NBA comes up with to eliminate Donald Sterling from our midst which is supposed to happen by Tuesday.
