So Donald Silver has spoken on Camera to Anderson Cooper?

Last weekend….well 10 days he was to have spoken to Ms Walters, but he did several flips and flops and his Archivist, V., ended up sitting for the interview with Ms Walters as he sat there and later stomped out of the room.

What a piece of racist wicked dried up small man.

Bobfr, I have read afew comments and I sense the ugly comment from them. They have alot of negative things to say about FLOTUS and her #BringBackOurGirls sign. You would think that at times like this they might put their hate aside, but they can’t. Their cold dark racists hearts are fill with such hate for the Obamas.

Never seen anything like it, in the way of the world’s coming together like this ~ it’s both heartwarming and efficient, if I may use that latter term. Mostly because we didn’t used to have Twitter in days past! If we continue to use these social media tools to the good, we will have come a long way!

Our associate minister ( vital young woman) printed out small slips of paper today, each with the first name of a Nigerian kidnapped girl on it, for as many names as were available, but to make the 200 , for those whose names were not known, she printed: “Child of God. Name unknown” People took them after church as a reminder to pray for this individual girl and for all of them.

Lori, our associate, also stated that if these girls had been white Americans, or Europeans, we would have known about the kidnapping a half hour after it happened, but sad to say it took the world two weeks to catch on. So thankful for the person in Nigeria who started the tweet campaign.

The timing was also unfortunate from a “reporting tragedies” perspective.

The kidnapping occurred on the same day that the South Korean ferry capsized, with a similar number of victims involved.

In both cases, deep inquiries into the role of the federal government needs to take place. (I’ve posted my questions about the ferry here before, but why was a 26-year-old mate at the helm who had never navigated that portion of the route, why were the captain and crew the first to leave the ferry, why didn’t evacuation begin immediately, and was the ferry overweight?).

Thankfully Nigeria is in tune with Western social media (aka Twitter, not Facebook) to promote awareness of this vile injustice. Agree with NerdyW and others that the white woman who tried to take credit for the hashtag should be shamed for her lying self-promotion and the news media who fell for her mendacity should be accountable for their actions.

“In Avdiyivka, Khartsyzk and Horlivka, armed men are forcing residents who have not voted in the pseudo-referendum to vote for federalization or else they will burn down the plants where they work, reported Ukrainska Pravda, Sunday, May 11, citing an informed source.

“Armed men arrived at the factory demanding that workers leave to vote. The owner refused. They then brought the voting urns right up to the plant, but people still did not want to come out. Men with automatic weapons are demanding to take the people to the referendum. Otherwise they threaten to burn down the factory,” the source reported.”

          Link in the tweet.

In the face of all the harm and hate that #TzarVlad is propagating Ukrainians are becoming more united by the minute.

#TrustBarack … the power of empathy and love to unite will be his eternal legacy, imho.

“Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx has said the federal Highway Trust Fund is expected run dry by late August. Without congressional action, transportation aid to states will be delayed and workers will be laid off at construction sites nationwide, Foxx said.”

“On Wednesday, Obama is scheduled to speak in front of the crumbling Tappan Zee Bridge, a major Hudson River crossing north of New York City, to press for action. A replacement is currently being built for the nearly 60-year-old, 3-mile span at a cost of $3.9 billion, largely financed by bonds that will be paid for through higher bridge tolls.”

    snip /

“Vice President Joe Biden will also be involved. On Tuesday, he is to tour a project in St. Louis where a pedestrian bridge is being built over Interstate 70 to make it easier and safer for people to get to the Gateway Arch. Then on Wednesday he heads to Cleveland, where an obsolete transit station is being replaced with a new, more energy efficient building. Both projects are federally funded.”

He was the greatest dog. He was INFAMOUS. God, I miss him, although Kasper (all white) channels Rufus’ trouble making abilities.

Yesterday Kasper pulled off (again) the covering on the bottom of the sofa. He has been known to stash his toys up there. Yesterday he was bored and wondered what it would be like to crawl into the springs of the sofa. I sat down on the sofa and wondered what was hitting me from underneath. I had to pull him out, and out of the ‘sling’ he’d made from the ripped covering.

Rufus would have been proud. Although Rufus wouldn’t have understood all that trouble if food wasn’t involved. What would be the point?

I hate cameras, although I have to use one regularly at work. I don’t think much about taking pictures. I have pictures of the pups, but I need ‘practice’ uploading, etc. I have to think about it each and every time.

I hate camers because my brother, 15 years my senior, was babysitting when I was about 2 years old. We have a photo of a screaming 2 year old, clutching her teddy bear, haloed in a flash with the rest of the room dark. And I swear, my earliest memory is my brother then turning on the lights and going into his room and closing the door. I have hated cameras ever since.

Yes, you smart girl - Flower In Faith IS from R & J. I was reluctant to join twitter and Tally hounded me. So I finally said, “Find me a twitter name with ‘Faith’ in it (yes, my name is Faith) and I’ll join. That little minx came up with a dozen quotes in about three minutes. So that is how I became ‘FlowerInFaith’.

You are right - the least I can do is find a rose somewhere and stop being anonymous!

You will have one soon. ;) I snatch photos and drawings. 😎 I need to go have MRI soon so I’ll be gone awhile. Talk later. Look for flower in twitter. 😋

“Rep. Gowdy was lying. He knows where the president was, and what he was doing during the Benghazi attacks. He knows this, because then Defense Secretary Leon Panetta testified in front of the Senate Armed Services Committee that he was meeting with Obama when they first learned of the assault and that Obama told him to deploy forces as soon as possible.

There have been seven different congressional investigations into Benghazi, and they have all turned up zero evidence that the Republican claims of wrongdoing and a coverup are accurate.

Becerra also called this investigation a reckless, and irresponsible use of taxpayer money. Democrats are turning this Benghazi investigation around on Republicans by playing the fiscal responsibility card against the supposedly fiscally conservative party.

Republicans have to play dumb, and pretend like they don’t know the facts, but it is clear that the decision to politically exploit the deaths of four Americans is backfiring on the Republican Party. The media isn’t buying it. The American people aren’t buying it, and now Democrats are going on Fox News and routing the Republicans on Benghazi.”

“The media is already calling the commission a partisan stunt. Believe me, when you aren’t fooling Chuck Todd, you aren’t fooling anybody.”

      That about describes Chuck Todd

      http://www.politicususa.com/2014/05/08/benghazi-panel-backfires-republicans-boehner-refuses-answer-email-questions.html

Linked to the above item - when the media actually tried to get an answer from Boehner - then again they only repeated the question 3 times - not like the GOP repeating the benghazi!!!!! question a million or two times.

That would have been comical if it wasn’t so pathetic: McCain whining that he wasnt informed as he skipped a briefing that was informing Congressional members. What a pathetic, petty, tiny traitor he is.

I’ve eaten wrong (but tasty) food all weekend…ribs, roast chicken (with stuffing), corn poppers, red velvet cupcake, mashed potatoes, broccoli and water. Monday morning brings the hard work of eating right (among other things)… Sometimes I can’t STAND Sunday evenings! :(

Let;s see what the haters have to say about this young girl who has more courage and decency in her pinky then they have in their whole body. Let’s see what they have to say about her holding up that hashtag sign. If it was #SaveOurWelfareRacistsRancher, the right wing haters would be all for that.

Arapaho, many of us have known Snowden was a spy from the moment he appeared in HK. I think he contacted Poitras and Greenwald to build a cover for what he was really doing – gathering as much cybersecurity intel as he could.

The stuff that lathered everyone, including our allies, is all distraction. Certainly distractions that were meant to cause harm, but no where near as important as the cybersecurity insights that he most definitely has shared with the Chinese and Russians.

Why he did it and how tightly China & Russia coordinated his activities are the only open questions for me.

    And, our dear Jackie noted:

Bob, I think we all thought he was a spy and traitor working for either China or Russia and that his motivation was either intense racist hatred of our president or the promise of a rich reward from the countries he worked for.. But I do think he was not smart enough to think through the long term consequences of his action or assess the trustworthiness of his “bosses”. I suspect he had a far grander vision of life he would lead than the current constrained environment in which he finds himself.

    Now, this appeared today:

    clip

“A former member of President Obama’s cabinet told Epstein in March “that there are only three possible explanations for the Snowden heist: 1) It was a Russian espionage operation; 2) It was a Chinese espionage operation, or 3) It was a joint Sino-Russian operation.””

    clip

Epstein, citing current and former government officials with intelligence clearances, reports Snowden stole documents from “at least 24 supersecret compartments that stored them on computers, each of which required a password that a perpetrator had to steal or borrow, or forge an encryption key to bypass.”

    clip

U.S. officials say most of the documents have nothing to do with civil liberties or whistleblowing.

Beyond the stolen cache, Snowden’s knowledge of the NSA’s computer systems and vetting structure makes him a very valuable asset to a U.S. adversary.”

Well, Bob, this “former cabinet official” has certainly laid it out and it couldn’t be clearer. Unfortunately, there will still be people so dazzled by their romanticized image of Snowden, the great whistle blower, that they will refuse to believe their idol has feet of clay, no matter what the evidence. To them, the narrative they’ve constructed is far more important than the truth.

Slightly off topic, but I find the internet invasion of my privacy MUCH worse than anything a government has ever done. I clicked on your link businessinsider.com … and I am instantly taken to businessinsider.com.au - I can read the article - but I cannot get to the US version of businessinsider - sends me to distraction. I looked up “pure white linen” on google a few days ago - now everywhere I go online I am inundated with ads for “pure white linen” - grrrrrrrrrr

I am not too happy today - and I know after our government does its “budget” presentation I will be feeling much worse. I think it is tomorrow night but I can’t bring myself to check. They have been leaking to their favorite media person every day for the past month.

Which reminds me why the media hates PBO’s administration and loves GG - not enough “leaks” from the administration - and thousands from GG.
