I find it verrry interesting, that people in this blog from a different country are mad that the US gets cheaper oil then rest of world.
It’s been this way forever, and that was the deal. Until, Iraq happened… Then, rest if world took notice. And got mad.
Suddenly, we are supposed to get involved in every conflict like the Neo cons want, to stabilize area.
We could, it would cost trillions, and many lives. But the US would not have a social system. We would be in debt up to our eyeballs. And private companies would edge toward total control of America.
If you ask me, this is a shit storm!
Nobody is “mad” about it Jovie - it is simply a fact. Oil is in short supply - the one truth about economics - when demand exceeds supply - the price goes up. When this is manipulated, for whatever reason - sooner of later the price will go up twice as fast.
Not sure who wants the US in every conflict in the world - certainly not any country I know anything about - regardless of what the politicians might say.
Nicest thing about TOD - they welcome anyone from anywhere - the only qualifier love and respect for PBO and his policies.

And it will be the cause if Iraq fails. Now it will not mean much, America could use some of it’s own oil to make up for losses, but big oil will use it as an excuse.

….These new bills are not like the usual Republican “giving tax cuts to rich people fixes everything” nonsense. These bills contain real substance, and represent a great deal of hard work by representatives and their staff. These people are dedicated to governing and making things better for American workers…..
….So you should pay attention, and give these members of Congress credit for what they are trying to accomplish — and vote….
