Singing Barry Manilow’s All by myself…
Hey, I’ve missed you guys. Before 4th of July, I was doing “Life 101;” since the 4th, I’ve been doing “Me 101.” Last Monday, D-i-L #2 and my granddaughter did a two hour drive-by; while I was disappointed that she didn’t carve out more time for my Mother and me, I made the best of it and gave it up to God. D-i-L #1 and my grandson arrived Friday morning and we have been having a blast. Grandson turned 13 last Saturday, is now just an inch shorter than me, and arrived sporting a ‘fro! They are staying until Tuesday. I’m Blessed!
Oh, Alycee, have a wonderful time with DIL and grandson. Grandkids are the best at any age and our job is to enjoy every minute with them.
Morning everyone:) Up early today and waiting for the guys to come and cut down 6 of my palo verde trees. Nasty, dirty things that they are! Some are pretty…but not mine. I’m not getting any younger, and these things keep you working in the backyard on a constant basis…I need something easier to deal with. And pretty.

My grandson turns 13 Monday. He has been taller than me for at least a year. I am barely 5’2″. Lol. He was 10 lbs. at birth and 21.5 inches long though. Having a hard time wrapping my head around having a 13 year old grandson.
On another thought: my daughter is in Boston today at the 46 Momma’s shave event. 46 cancer moms shaving their heads to raise money for childhood cancer research………sponsored by St. Baldrick’s.
Tnmtngirl, I’m still in the habit of calling my nephew by his baby pet name, to which he replies: “Um, I’m 22.” :-)

I got some letter from Ready for Hillary, they ask for donation and sent a picture of the Clintons. I plan to send them a response back and it will say right now I am focusing on the 2014 midterms, I am not worrying about 2016. It would be nice if Hillary were trying to help the Dems keep the Senate and gain the House. Anything I have will go toward the midterms elections, putting people in Congress who will work with this President we have in office right now.

Hi Everybody! Sorry I missed y’all yesterday. I was out all day and a good part of the night watching muscle-y men and women compete at the 2014 INBF Southern Natural Body Building and Figure Competition. It was grueling, exhausting work, but SOMEBODY had to do it. :-D :cool: :-D

LOL! Absolutely! I won the Master Class prize for “Most Drool Produced” :-D
Can I brag on family for just a moment?
Her first amateur competition and she placed 2nd in the Best Body Bikini competition. Scored so close to the first place winner they decided to make an exception and grant her a pro card* anyway. Only 2nd place finisher to get one in all of the 12 divisions competing. Picture is with her coach, who’s an INBF/WNBF promoter.
*Basically means from here on out, she gets PAID based on competition ranking and can get sponsorships. Woot!
By the way, she’s a sergeant in the Army. I asked her if she was gonna take her trophy to work on Monday. She said, “Heck No! Next thing you know, they’ll have me spending all my time training the whole unit.” :-D

She us beautiful Dudette you must be very proud. I went to a bb event put on my the local police dept it was like an Olympic event for law enforcement. I really enjoyed it and the women were so great.
We are over the moon elated for her! She worked so hard training for this.
We were chatting with one of the judges afterwards about how the classifications differ. The bodybuilding classes are easy to get. For those you expect to see the super-ripped, shredded muscles — like the Mr/Miss Olympia (which by the way, OMG, these folks are amazing!). “But for the figures classes, people think folks can just walk in off he street in their swimsuits and win a trophy. No, this is an athletic fitness competition, not a music video/porn movie cattle call. We want to see cut, we’re looking for muscle definition…”
My hats off to the competitors. I sure did admire the fruits of all their work. ;-)
