From Gov Mary of OK……a flip flop to common sense?

    http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/investigators-issuing-report-oklahoma-execution-25241539

New procedures to improve Oklahoma’s execution process must be implemented before the state resumes putting prisoners to death by lethal injection, Gov. Mary Fallin said after investigators presented their findings about an April case in which the inmate writhed and moaned on the gurney.

In its report released Thursday about the troubled April 29 execution of Clayton Lockett — who was declared dead 43 minutes after his execution began — the state Department of Public Safety made 11 recommendations include more training for medical personnel and having additional supplies of lethal drugs and equipment on hand.

Corrections Director Robert Patton is reviewing the guidelines, Fallin said, adding that she expects the department to implement them before executions resume. Three executions have been set for November and December, the first on Nov. 13.

To any of you who can stomach UpChuck’s interview with PBO on Sunday, my hat is off to you. I just read his sneering ‘promo’ about it and there is nothing that could make me watch him.

I’ll get the play-by-play at TOD.

Democratic Presidents Bring It: Obama Shatters Clinton’s Record For Private Sector Job Growth

The Department of Labor announced Friday that the economy added 142,000 jobs and the unemployment rate dropped (little change) to 6.1%. The private sector has added 10 million jobs over 54 straight months, with private businesses adding 134,000 jobs in this report. President Obama has shattered Bill Clinton’s previous record of 51 consecutive months of private sector job growth. This is an extension of the longest streak on record for private sector job growth and it happened under a Democratic President.

Report: McConnell Campaign Manager Faced Subpoenas Before Resigning

Mitch McConnell’s campaign manager, Jesse Benton, was facing subpoenas for emails and financial transactions before he resigned last Friday from the helm of Senate Republican leader’s reelection effort.

The Center For Responsive Politics reported on Thursday that one of two grand juries investigating an Iowa bribery scandal in the 2012 presidential election had in late July subpoenaed documents from “at least seventeen individuals, including [Ron] Paul, [Michele] Bachmann and Jesse Benton.”

I remember effing Wolf Blitzer on Bill Maher’s show during those years, when Maher tried to assert his right to criticize the President and that it was journalism’s responsibility to inform and hold Bush accountable. Wolf Blitzer said, “Well, things have changed. 9/11 changed everything. We don’t do that anymore.”

Until there’s a Black Democrat in the office. Then it’s open season - not just on POTUS, but an all-out assault on the truth.

I’m so glad he got to visit Stonehenge! It is indeed, spectacular, impressive….any adjective you can think of. It’s one of those places you’ve seen pictures of all your life, so think it won’t be impressive when you see it, but wow! I was struck totally silent when I walked up to it. I’ve seen it in sun and in rain, and it is impressive either way. Really brooding in the rain. One of those places where you FEEL the people who have gone before.

From everything I’ve read, this was a very productive visit by the President, both in Estonia and at the NATO summit in Wales. As is always the case, the most important results will be long term, something the MSM and beltway bobbleheads still don’t understand. He always goes for the long goal. We will be seeing many results of his work and policies years from now…..Fortunately, he has totally changed the world image of the U.S. and our presidency, which GWB so ruthlessly and carelessly destroyed.

Always comfortable when he visits other countries, and very proud. He has totally reset our entire international way of operating, and the world will be better for his term in office.
