Even though I grew up a N.C. State fan….this is another reason Dean Smith is the greatest NCAA MBB coach of all time

A wonderful documentary that premiered last night on Showtime:

An Argentine appeals court has upheld a decision to dismiss a controversial case against President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.

She had been accused of covering up the alleged involvement of senior Iranian officials in a 1994 bomb attack against a Jewish centre in Buenos Aires.

Two out of three judges voted to reject an appeal by prosecutors, saying that no crime had been committed.

Ms Fernandez has always denied the allegations.

amk, remember I mentioned that my young Project Engineer was summoned home to India for a visit? Well, she’s returned to work and today she informed me that its been decided that she & her boyfriend who is also here in the US working at another Engineering firm is going to get married by the end of this year, no later than the first of next year. He was summoned home too. This was their first year working here in the US, after attending college here. I don’t know how much longer we’re gonna have her as an employee.

Yemen’s President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi has arrived in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh, officials say, as a Saudi-led coalition continues to launch air strikes against Shia Houthi rebels.

It is the first confirmation of his whereabouts since Wednesday, when he fled rebel forces in the city of Aden.

The officials say he will go to Egypt for an Arab league summit on Saturday.

NW, I won’t even tell you how long it took me to get through all of tonight’s tweets because I had to click on the sources, read them and then get into related topics. That’s what I love about your nightly tweet reviews. No matter how discouraging, trying, or exhausting the day, I always feel I have done something productive at the end of it by learning new and interesting things. Thanks so much for these nightly gifts.

Thank you for this news roundup, NW. My blood is boiling reading much of it, but no sense hiding our heads in the sand - nothing ever changed that way. I’ll help get the word out by lots of R/Ting. Thanks again.

I love that conversation between the President and Simon…would that such conversations could take place on other topics…that we as a country could begin to tackle our most difficult problems by starting a conversation….

i love that tweet of the Pelosi and Boxer…who knew how important their roles would be in Congress…

a smile came to my face about Grandma selling her home

but how heart breaking the news of the babies being kidnapped and raped and returned…this as part of war…this world wide attack on women and girls must cease…that story just brought tears to my eyes and a pain in my heart….

TY NW….i so look forward to your gathering of tweets…you do such an extraordinary job…thank you

Reading up on the GOP and net neutrality - it seems the GOP thinks anything should be able to be bought and sold - sometimes it seems they still include people in that thought.

The hate on health care - makes people less able to be “bought cheap” by their employer - means the unemployed can visit a doctor - nil humanity - none ziltch - worse than many of the autocratic regimes of the past

goes more indepth… People dressing up as Klans men in Israel?!

        March 27, 2025 at 3:49 am

This is absolutely horrific, Jeff! It’s so sad to witness the depth of Israel racism. I now understand why Israeli’s right wing Prime Minister shows so much animosity against President Obama. I also now understand why he, Netanyahu, chose to align himself with right wing, anti-Obama, Republicans. This young Israeli, exposing the racist horrors in Israel, is incredibly courageous. His video talk needs to be widely shared.

By the way Jeff, do those racist Israelis, dressing up in KKK white hooded robes, realize that the Klan in the U.S. hates Jews as much as it hates Blacks?

          March 27, 2025 at 6:40 am

I don’t doubt it… It seems like some don’t care what’s happened to other Jews just so long as it wasn’t them. It’s a sad state of affairs. :(

Jeff, thank you for posting this.
For years close friends and family of mine who have visited Israel have come back to report the outright blatant racism they experienced while there. One friend while on tour inquired about the Black Jews and the tour guide gave her such a look of disdain and tried to ignore the question.
Well, my friend is not the one who will not let her questions go unanswered. So the tour guide finally gave up and said they were out in the desert. The fact that my friend mentioned Black and Jew in the same sentence visibly annoyed the tour guide.
My friend also said that they were not allowed to enter in the same door of restaurants as the people who lived there.

It is really a time such as this that everything and everybody is being exposed to who and what we really are.
It is so sad to see the people of Israel’s cruel behavior toward the African people.
God’s best friend Enoch who was Ethiopian walked straight up to God’s abode that is how close they were.
I am glad to see this long overdue exposure and thank the young man for being brave enough to share this information.
I am going to make a donation to help get this information.
