i so enjoyed how the President …just toyed with the WHPC….

Major Garrett is always comparing his to the President…and always comes up “short”…real short…almost a nub

O, I know what you were saying, Garrett reminds me of Ed Henry and the timely message PBO had to give Henry a while back. [for the shorter version go to ~4:05 ;) ]

They have no answer for an alternative….plus I bet on D side some folks will get threatened with primary challengers… I think right now Menendez, Schumer, Warner, Kaine & Blumenthal are possibly the only defectors. Can lose 6.

Throw Heitkamp, Donnelly, Tester, and possibly Nelson in the mix….but I don’t think it is going to get to that point. The President seems to have already won over Coons, Manchin, & Murphy through their statements/t.v. hits today….but they can kiss my ass if the rest don’t get on board soon.

Little Major Garrett is getting the fame he looked for. He wanted to strike a nerve… and he got the proper response: delusional guy seeking limelight in the shadow of an Iran Deal he would never understand, no matter how experienced a reporter he is. Jerk!

Anyone see Lawrence O’Donnell’s section tonight about Major Garrett? Guess the Major dug himself in further defending himself after that horribly worded question today.

    Damn man :( :(

“Even the president doesn’t want to believe. According to “Game of Thrones? director David Nutter, when he met the commander-in-chief recently (we assume while President Obama was fundraising in Los Angeles last June), he expressed his deep concern for one particular citizen of Westeros. “He turned to me, put his hand on my shoulder, and said, ‘You didn’t kill Jon Snow did you?’? recalled Nutter during a Comic-Con panel….

…“Jon Snow is deader than dead,? Nutter recalled telling the president, an admitted GoTer, despite his fear of being “sent to Guantanamo or something.? The president, continued the director, was none too pleased: “You keep killing off my favorite characters,? Obama complained.

Jon SNOW is dead but Jon Targaryen is alive and well.

        July 16, 2025 at 8:56 am

Ah, Jeff. A fellow reader of the books. The young un-dead Targaryen is the fictional depiction of HenryVll, Henry the Eight’s father, raised in France who returns to England and captures the throne.

Not a stretch. Lannisters are the Lancasters who ruled England before the Henry the seventh. not much of a disguise

I always love hearing that the President does find some down time to watch these shows. He manages to take a break at some point! (…I don’t know how and when…)

A few bj’ers are bed wetting over john kasich who - the stealth candie, we all have to be afraid since he is a sensible rethug, blah, blah. Reminds me of jon huntsman who brouhaha.

    • July 15, 2025 at 10:58 pm

If HRC can’t beat Kasich, well, that’s just pathetic.

    • 68 EricFive
      July 15, 2025 at 11:35 pm

These folks don’t understand how the GOP primary system works. A sensible candidate who could win a general election cannot get through the primaries, where the candidates have to cater to the extreme right in order to win. Huntsman never stood a chance because he dared to work for the Obama Administration (the equivalent of working for Hitler to the nuts on the right). I never understood how people thought he could win the GOP nomination.

      • 69 jacquelineoboomer
        July 16, 2025 at 12:35 am

Even that one RWNJ website or blog referred to Huntsman back then as a betrayer, for having decided to run for President while actually working for the President. Of course, Huntsman denied anything inappropriate because RWNJ.
