Rise and shine - it’s a beautiful day when President Obama is our president! The world rejoices with us! Looking over those pictures reminds me of something that happens every year in my second grade class. I read two to three books aloud almost every day and I always introduce them by saying, “This is one of my favorite books”, because I just have a lot of books I love to share with them. Eventually as soon as I pick up a book they’ll chorus, “It’s her favorite book”! At the end of the year they were doing a group reflection on second grade and someone wrote, “Mrs. Foster’s favorite book: ALL OF THEM!” And that’s exactly how I feel about these pictures. The joy and light and goodness of the man shines out of every one and even though I try to pick, they are ALL my favorites! Thanks for this beautiful gift to us, Nerdy. Poll: Clinton’s favorability takes a major hit
Hillary Clinton’s favorability is sinking further underwater, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released Monday night.
The Democratic presidential candidate is viewed unfavorably by 48 percent of likely voters, compared with 37 percent who view her favorably.
Her ratings are down significantly from the last NBC/WSJ poll in June, when 44 percent viewed Clinton favorably versus 40 percent who viewed her unfavorably.
These numbers will certainly add to the consternation already permeating Democratic circles following a recent Quinnipiac University poll which showed Clinton’s favorability drowning in key swing states.
NBC News points out that Clinton’s fav/unfav ratio, while worse than Barack Obama’s throughout his presidency, is identical to her husband Bill Clinton’s score heading into the Democratic nomination in ’92.
Pollster Bill McInturff compared Clinton’s campaign to a battleship able to withstand several torpedo strikes, “but there has been a torpedo that has hit something, and there are some leaks.”
Despite her low favorability numbers, Clinton remains the clear frontrunner among the current field of Democratic presidential candidates.

Rikyrah, it’s in the interest of all of these right leaning pollsters to issue dire warnings about HRC and do everything in their power to undermine her so that people see one of the Republican clowns as an acceptable alternative. I’m not a Hillary fan, but I don’t trust anything being said about her at this point.
I don’t buy it either Jackie. They’ll do whatever they can to help Republicans across the finish line.

To be fair, this poll was taken just after the hit piece, the LYING piece of the NYT on Hillary. Her numbers could rebound a bit . I’m no big fan of the Clintons, but I don’t like t when somebody is treated unfairly. The constant sniping at her, while republican candidates - who are either imbeciles or crooks - are left alone, is shameful.
That being said, democrats should indeed be concerned. I’ve always thought that Hillary’s support was very fragile, and that independents wouldn’t be so eager to vote the Clintons back into the WH. If she is the nominee, Hillary will face a serious challenge against anybody else than Jeb Bush. People want “someone new”.
I think her support is a lot less fragile than people are willing to give her credit for.

I have mentioned before that one of my daily devotional books is Joshua DuBois’s “The President’s Devotional.” Today’s devotion is based on Galatians 6:9: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Joshua uses an example of traveling and working with Rev. Joseph Lowery. At an event in Iowa, someone thanked him for fighting for “the younger generation.” Rev. Lowery replied that he wasn’t just fighting for the younger folks……..and said that “I’ve got a lot of life left and I’m fighting for me too.” The prayer asks for energy for new struggles we face every day. At the very bottom of the page is says: This devotion was sent to PO on his birthday. How very appropriate–PO never seems to grow weary. (Well, except in the case of gun safety.) He never grows weary of doing good. He never gives up. And, nearly every time, he reaps the good harvest. (He wins.)
Keep doing good, Mr. President!!!!! May God bless and keep you.

This morning Ed Rendell echoed David Axelrod’s view we heard yesterday.
The Dem Establishment favoring HRC is busy warning VP Biden that he doesn’t want to end his public career by losing to HRC. Their talking point is that Joe won’t run because he knows he won’t win.
I would expect to hear this idea echoed by the media and the DNC.
VP Biden will do as he sees fit and ignore the noise as i will now attempt to do.
I haven’t seen what the Sanders camp is saying as I have been ignoring that crowd altogether.
