😀 Didn’t think I’d make it since your call was a few minutes ago, NerdyW.

NerdyW, I truly appreciate the way you mix some laughter in with the ‘heavy’ posts. The battle with the forces pushing against Black lives just never seem to let up, and that’s so very, very wearying! Every time I read of another person harassed, killed, demonized another little piece of my own confidence erodes.

          Seconded!! NW, thanks so much!!

This is one of the beautiful things about TODland, Pf58 - when you feel like you’ve reached your limit there’s always someone with a pick-me-upper. 😉 Thank god we are never all down at the same time, and Thanks for this reminder.

          You’re welcome, VC.

It’s tough, but don’t lose confidence. Just keep on keeping on.

            ‘Just keep on keeping on’

Thanks. Though we have little choice in this on the one hand, on the other I have to admit that I feel tremendous pride in my people for having ‘kept on’ with such strength and determination over centuries. I’ve always maintained that even if given the chance, I would not choose to be in any other skin.

That is a statement of enormous courage and character, VC. And, from all that I’ve witnessed at TOD and the spirit you have infused into my experience here, I know you mean it from the core of your being when you state - ” I’ve always maintained that even if given the chance, I would not choose to be in any other skin.”

What pf58 states down thread - “WE SHALL OVERCOME HAS BECOME……..WE WILL WIN!!!! AND WE WILL…” resonates with the palpable difference in all that I experienced in the 60’s and how that experience has transformed, especially since the brutal murder of Trayvon Martin.

It’s game over for #WhiteSupremacists & it’s not just descendants of slaves, but an enormous number of white Americans who intend to erase that evil from how this Nation behaves.

Thank you NW for bringing these crucial moments of joy to all of us.

              good night TOD ….
