Hello
Congratulations Mellesia.
Congratulations Mellesia!
Congrats Mell B!
Many, many good tweets. This is how I get my news. Thank you Ms. Wonka.
You’re welcome, maryl1.
Hi Congrats on GOLD!
It’s a record that they fashioned together and was a lot of hard work and dedication.
Thank you, Nerdy.
:)
Beautiful! Thanks for helping us celebrate two totally outstanding men, who have worked together for our country and the world-at-large.
:)
NW - I watched the announcement on BBC in South Africa. Been to Robben Island, Mandela’s home, Soweto, and the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg…. PBO has followed in the footsteps of great people. And then forged a new path forward. His reception at Mandiba’s memorial reflected how people here feel about him. One of the great ones.
:)
Nerdy Wonka, you, and our incredible VP, Joe Biden, are the best when it comes to supporting president Obama! I am absolutely certain that future historians, after they examine the record of president Obama’s historical accomplisents, will validate your support of PBO!
O.K., I am sick of these idiotic spell-checks by I-phone! I don’t know how my statement about president Obama’s “historic accomplishments” ended up as
” Obama’s historic accomplisents.”
:)
Brought over…Thanks, Nerdy. As always:)
I saw the sad news on the school bus when I checked today. I have say, that like most everyone here, I’m sad for our country, but content in the fact that this was a decision that he alone made with his family…I love you, Joe Biden. Thank you for serving your country so faithfully and unselfishly for these many years. Men like him don’t come around too often and we were blessed, and still are, to have this man serving in public office. Thank you just isn’t enough.
He will not be silenced and I like it like that. If he ran, it would have to watch every word and worry about always being PC…I like the VP Biden that says what he thinks, unfiltered and unapologetic. He will go on to do great things…along with our President…they will not be silenced, and this is more than great news…the freedom to speak out. loud and often. This is the Joe Biden that I want to see in the coming years…
I said that I wanted him to run, but I would respect his decision. I have to respect that he chose not to run for President now…it hurts, but if it makes him happy, then I am happy for him. I feel like he deserves that.
No one, ever again in my lifetime, will match PBO/VP Biden for me. No one. I would have worked my ass off for him, like I did for PBO….I honestly can’t say that I will put in the kind of time for anyone else. That said, I will do the work that I can to make sure that Dems are elected…we have to continue to work hard for the men that worked so hard for us. I will not let all this hard work be for naught. We need Dems to win and win big…our very lives really do depend on that happening.
xoxoxoxox…Love you, VP BIden!
Agree with you DesertFlower. It’s going to be hard come Jan. 20, 2017.
Co-sign every word, Desertflower!
DF, you’ve very eloquently put into words what I am feeling. Thank you… :tears:
Thank you NW for all the tweets. I had known about the result of the Thabo Sefolosha trial. I thought I shared it here. It is disgusting what police do. I’m glad he did what was right and not easy.
These folks, who stood up for Joe, deserve a lot of credit. At least our VP knew we were in his corner, no matter his decision!
Did anyone see where Bernie Sanders criticized VP Biden and PBO again today? He just won’t stop.
No. For about half a second earlier in the day (couldn’t muster up any interest), I thought some pundit was saying Bernie actually was praising them … but I’m not surprised if he didn’t. Ugh.
Sanders did not agree that democrats should run on VP Biden and PBO’s legacy? He mentioned his revolution and said that he did not think it was the goal of PBO and VP Biden to fight for getting big money out of the government. EJ Dione mentioned that voters for Biden broke 3 to 2 for Sanders, e.g. Hillary gained more of VP Biden’s supporters. Has Sanders asked himself, why he is lagging in the polls while drawing those huge crows?
Something tells me HRC will pick up speed, and Sanders will go down in the polls. Or not.
Tonight, I’m beyond caring!
Hello JO’B,
I hope your son is getting better!
And thinks single parents should work around the clock to support their families. They really are all about self - these GOP members. Why does anyone vote for them?
The age-old question, at least in modern times!
Thanks NW for the tweet about Constance Wu. TV is something I rarely watch so I miss lots of good shows.
You’re welcome.
What is wage theft?
“Wage theft in the United States, is the illegal withholding of wages or the denial of benefits that are rightfully owed to an employee. Wage theft can be conducted through various means such as: failure to pay overtime, minimum wage violations, employee misclassification, illegal deductions in pay, working off the clock, or not being paid at all…”
That is disgusting. How do they get away with it? Don’t they have to report W2 Forms, etc?
Looks as if the House Republican caucus isn’t buying what Ryan was trying to sell. Boehner may find himself sticking around for a while.

A brilliant compilation, thanks a million Nerdy.
:)
I’m not in the mood to read the article, but at least she was nice in introducing it …
There’s another NYT piece about the behind the scenes rivalry between VP and HRC. If even half of it is true, it’s infuriating.
I’m just so not ready for all this. But I’ll check it out when I am!
No need to. Just know that VP Joe is well aware of the disrespect he is receiving from the Democratic Party.

‘Nike will release a limited amount of pairs of “power-lacing” shoes next spring modeled after the ones worn by the character Marty McFly in the 1989 film “Back to the Future Part II,” the company announced Wednesday. The announcement comes on a significant date: Oct. 21, 2015, is the date that Marty McFly and Doc Brown traveled into the future in the film. The number of pairs that will be made available was not disclosed. The shoes will be auctioned off, and the beneficiary once again will be the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. The latest edition of the shoe features “power laces” — it senses when the wearer steps in it, and the laces tighten around the foot as the Nike logo on the tongue illuminates…
Nike CEO Mark Parker presented the first pair on Wednesday to Fox, who was expected to unveil them on the “Jimmy Kimmel Show.” The Michael J. Fox Foundation, set up by the actor who played Marty, received $9.4 million in donations thanks to a 10-day auction in 2011, when 1,500 pairs were auctioned on eBay. Sales of the shoes generated $4.7 million, and that figure was matched by Google co-founder Sergei Brin and his wife…continued’

Didn’t need to see this; on my second bottle of wine…
Sanders needs to take a long walk on a short pier.
thanks for cementing on why I will not be voting for Sanders in the primary.
Indeed, Meta! All of us who love and respect PBO and VP Joe Biden need to send these two-faced democrats a strong and unequivocal message: any Democrat who disrespects PBO, or VP, Joe Biden, will not get our support! Now lets see if any of these preteders can win without the Obama coalition. Personally, I am especially sick of Bernie and Hillary supporters, who are out there trashing President Obama and Vice-President Biden, but some how expect us, Obama/Biden supporters, to buy into their hateful bs and support their candidates.
Please forgive me TOD people, and especially hard working people like Jackie G, Donna Dem, 57 and Female, Bill R., Dudette, and many others, if tonight I am not in a mood to listen to, or forgive, the so called Democrats who, almost from day one of his presidency, have been trashing and undermining President Obama.
Their betrayal of one of the most progressive president in history must not be overlooked without any consequences! To be absolutely honest, I sometimes found it hard to decide who hated and despised President Obama, and now by extension VP Biden, the most! Was it the teabaggers, the ” emoprogs” Bernie supporters, or the PUMA Clintonites?
Here is my bottom line for me: I
Will work hard and donate to Democratic candidates who refuse to trash or distance themselves from President Obama. Depending on
the level of the egregiousness in dissing PBO, I will cover my nose and vote for any Democrat who advances a reasonable, but respectable disagreement with President Obama. But I will never support any Democratic candidate who is eager to join the GOP, and the Corpotate run media, to deny and denegrate the incredible record of achievement by the Obama Administration!
I feel your words and share your disgust, nath. My heart is so heavy and my stomach turns over the way both PBO and VPB have been treated, especially VP Joe in these last couple of months. Unbelievable how much he’s been disregarded after all he’s done for this nation. And this coming from people I’ve always respected: Boxer, Clyburn, Axelrod. Even though I’ve been a Democrat all my life, let’s just say I’ve learned a LOT about the Dem Party during the Obama-Biden administration. And it goes to the very core of our principles.
Well Ole Bernie Sanders is WRONG…
and i wonder what he would be saying if the VP has chosen to run…
First, RidinWithBiden left me on the side of the road; now the Cubs are in the proess of getting swept…
Time to open another bottle of wine…
:-(
and I am outta here.
AMK get back here. Check this page out if amks toons didn’t bring a smile to your face.
NW,
As always, thank you so much for the yeoman’s job that you do to bring us such a wide range of info via tweet. You and all of TOD rock. Especially on days like this.
I needed a good nerdy laugh today to help brush away the sadness! 😀
I can’t the right words to convey the incredible sadness I felt when I learned that our beloved VP, Joe Biden, decided not run for President. For all the family tragedies he has endured, but especially the recent loss of his beloved son, I fully understand the decision he made.
I was so touched (and, as Yardarm would say, couldn’t help the ” water works) when I read so many expressions of love and respect for our incredible VP
I meant that “I can’t FIND the right
words.”
This is just the most incredible photo for me…….the light will always shine on our PBO and VPB, no matter what.
Just reading all your tweets NW - so many things to do - I’m way behind.
Looking at this one
“Poll: Obama approval highest in more than 2 years ”
So many will never appreciate what they have - until it is gone. PBO will exit with an approval rating of 70% or more - the “or more” will depend on who is the President Elect.
Morning!
http://theobamadiary.com/2015/10/22/early-bird-rise-and-shine-122/
Morning everyone…just reading up on what I missed last night and had a thought. PBO and VP Biden are the most progressive, accomplished team in decades and are graciously holding open the door for Dems to pick up the mantle and walk through. Rather than be gracious and appreciative of all they have done to make things right for the people, and stay Thank You for holding door, they are getting it slammed with hardly a word of appreciation for the hard work, with an obstructive congress of dangerous lunatics, making it 4 times has hard to get ANYTHING of consequence done! When they do that, they excuse the real problem (Republicans) and allow this to continue without calling them out or acknowledging the extreme difficulty that the President had getting anything done with the ignorant bullies that bills had to get past. I’m fairly certain that they credit for anything that made THEM look good though…. I will have to hold my nose, but I knew that going in…because these men are one of a kind. We have to make sure that their hard fought legacy lives on forever…THAT’S why I will hold my nose and vote for whatever Dem is left standing at the end. For my guys.
Just catching up Nerdy but I love this post!
