‘disturbing’ video, motherjones? how about disgusting video?

the ugly is spreading despite all the exposure.

    • October 26, 2025 at 10:21 pm

And if you didn’t see the video you’d think from most reports that the student violently resisted his efforts to remove her, instead of just sitting there quietly until he assaulted her. I think the fact that she didn’t melt with fear when he confronted her probably enraged him, because that’s the reaction he’s most probably used to and wants - it was just like when he beat up that guy for calling him ‘dude’. If any person of color engages with him like they are equals, he explodes.

        New student per this TL.
Guess she wasn’t aware she was supposed to assume the proper position of cowering submission in his presence.

        • October 26, 2025 at 10:37 pm

Ah, very interesting Dudette, she hadn’t experienced this thug before.

Mr. Long needs to lose his effing job too. My kid would be outta that school forever- I’m talking about the other kids in that room, not the child who was attacked. Any child that had to witness that shit was affected too. And how does a TEACHER stand by without speaking out??

‘the ugly is spreading despite all the exposure’

THIS is one of the aspects of all this that I find frightening, Amk. Blacks, from toddler to youth to senior, are clearly of no value even in 2015 AND police - supposedly sworn to protect - really do not care who knows it!! In the beginning I honestly thought that such violent reports would taper off as the country became more aware of what had been happening under cover. Heck, when the first couple of cases caught on video/camera came to light, I foolishly thought there would have been convictions! I cannot describe the impact these visible instances of police violence make on the psyche of this Black person. Like, where in America *do* you turn to be accepted and treated like a human being, or for justice?

They know the system has been refined to such an extent that they can literally get away with murders even if they are caught doing the heinous act redhanded.

Watched the video on HP and am outraged. Hope the cop gets fired and possibly thrown in jail. Of course we know that no such thing ever happens because this country has an authoritarian complex.

As a teacher I am saying to myself, WTF are you doing to let that cop treat the NEW girl that way! So.not.ok. We are supposed to protect our students.

OMG I just saw this on the news not 10 minutes ago- that poor kid being thrown around by the cops. I don’t even know what to say anymore.

  6. October 26, 2025 at 10:22 pm

R.A.G.E. is what I’m feeling. Pure rage!

  7. October 26, 2025 at 10:26 pm

WTF?!?!? I don’t even have the words right now. My blood is boiling. //SMDH If a guy did this to his girlfriend/wife in the streets, we would be outraged and call it domestic violence (regardless of who or what started it). If a father did this to his daughter (regardless of who or what started it), again we would be outraged and call it child abuse.

How do we repair the damage this child will now have? I honestly want to hurt that cop just from seeing the video. I cannot imagine the horror she is living through right now, her terror and the rage of her parents.

I had a verbal encounter with a police officer today. I won’t go into the details- but this cop lied to me and that is so common in my experience- they lie, they say really stupid things to protect THEMSELVES at all costs. My point here is that we are seeing all across this country the terror they are visiting on black Americans, people of color- something that is not only not new, but also escalating… and they just continue to get away with it. This cop told me today that cops are quitting all over Baltimore because of the “riot”. I said good, they shouldn’t go around killing citizens. This cop was so busy protecting the cops, she forgot her/their job is to protect the citizens. I cannot even articulate how I feel about this poor child tonight and about police in this country in general.

And in the timeline it is said the other person arrested was the girl who made the video

And I note the young men with their heads down - knowing full well if they say a word they will get worse.

And the US dares to tell other countries how to treat their people.

Police officers feel like they can do whatever they want and get away with it. Now from what I saw the officer life was in jeopardy from what, the girl sitting in the seat ignoring him. What a dam disgrace, how are we suppose to have respect for police officers when they don’t respect black lives one bit. That officer will get away with what he did, after all he is a officer, he is a saint, they never does anything wrong.

I live in a neighborhood where drug dealing and prostitution are literally rampant right outside my door.. I do not call the police, because my biggest fear is that they will over react. they either do absolutely nothing or they act insane. I just don’t think this is that unusual in America anymore. The cops are dysfunctional, someone thought is was a good idea to hire violent racists as cops across this country. And nobody is stopping them. Nobody polices them.

Morning TN. I’m still reeling from the assault on the young woman in that classroom. I hope every punishment in the world is meted out to that policeman from criminal to civil charges, but I fear the criminal, at least, won’t happen. We have to keep fighting against this kind of police brutality. It has to end.

The day when anything Gloria Steinem said had any value, has long since passed. Sounds to me as if she wanted to stir up controversy and gain attention since people no longer care what she thinks. What she’s done, instead, is marginalize herself. She no more knows what she’s talking about than the random man in the street.

Poll Watch: Ben Carson Edges Ahead Nationally in Times/CBS News Poll

Ben Carson has taken a narrow lead nationally in the Republican presidential campaign, dislodging Donald J. Trump from the top spot for the first time in months, according to a New York Times/CBS News survey released on Tuesday.

Mr. Carson, a retired neurosurgeon, is the choice of 26 percent of Republican primary voters, the poll found, while Mr. Trump now wins support from 22 percent, although the difference lies within the margin of sampling error.

The survey is the first time that Mr. Trump has not led all candidates since The Times and CBS News began measuring presidential preferences at the end of July.

Ben Carson won’t be the nominee, but he’s providing amazing ad fodder for Democrats. Yes, the things he says are so extremist, bigoted and misogynist that they sound like the ravings of a demented time traveler from the Middle Ages, but do we hear ANY Republican expressing outrage? Eventually one of those R bozos will be the nominee and I would love to see Carson’s outrageous statements run next to an image of silence from the nominee. If they haven’t the guts to take on people in their own party, how can they take on the challenges of the world? They are cowards-every single one of them. And if they actually agree with Carson, well then that tells you all you need to know about them.

good morning everyone…I’m horrified about what happened to the student in the classroom. Horrified! This must stop and stop now. Every single school district with resource officers must ALL review their policy of addressing students on campus. That school district will get the pants sued off of them, but those children all deserve better! What they don’t have, that they rightfully deserve,is respect from the get go. Instead, it seems to me like they are all suspect from the start and the officers just lie in wait to force another into submission because they had all this coming anyway…these guys seem to all have a huge chip on their shoulders and take it out on anyone they deem a threat or who they think needs some disipline. This is horrific and these kids are hurt forever because of this. You can’t “unsee” this. What you see on these campus’ or with this police brutality, is just a peek into what certain people in the Republican party think should just be simple law and order…this would be common and accepted in some circles. Towards, kids, kids of color, POC in general, immigrants, women…you get the drift. Amerikkka. Can you just “feel” the greatness and exceptionalism? We have GOT to do better. We have GOT to be informed and use the power of our votes to make this country for EVERYONE and make it work equally FOR EVERYONE. damn. pissed off already at 6am.
