And in the world of unbiased media - one of our RW ministers cries to a radio jock to help him against those terrible people who would stand against him in an election - pffft
The Australian today reported Mr Pyne sent a series of text messages to Adelaide radio host Leon Byner, urging him to stop Senator Xenophon from standing a candidate in the seat of Sturt at the next election.

They always want the unfair advantage, those who think they have the divine right to rule.
Happy Saturday night, TOD. For 99ts, happy whatever time zone you are in and congratulations on first place. Nerdy Wonka, thanks so much for posting President Obama’s tweet about gun sense. He really needs all of us who think the NRA has jumped the shark on the 2nd Amendment to let our electeds know we won’t stand for it any longer!
Of course, your *how long?* reminded me of this speech, 50 long years ago. Different child, different time, different event, but same question. How long will it take?
THANKS FOR THE LEAD…I PUT HIS..PAUL’S LETTER TO AMERICAN CHRISTIANS ON MY FB…AM SURE THEY WILL TRY TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO TAR AND FEATHER ME….LOL………………BRING IT ON!
When will POC stand up and exercise their VOTE?
If this were white kids…
It’s beyond time to cry, we should be fed up enough to go speak at each church from Mega to Storefront and remind people of the power of the Vote
it seems that one can’t close their eyes for a few minutes before something else happens that is bound to complicate the attempt to resolve the Syrian conflict;
Today, I have seen the name Samir Kuntar appearing among the tweets from people within or interested in (such as foreign journalists) the Middle East;
frankly, I didn’t understand why most treated Kuntar as household name;
that meant that he is someone I should take time to learn about;
apparently, Saturday evening Samir Kuntar was killed in air strike on his apartment building in the suburbs of Damascus;
reports say he was a prominent member of Hezbollah and is of Lebanese descent.
he spent 29 years in Israel’s prison for killing a family of 4 Israelis;
in 2008, he was released as part of swap that led to return of the remains of 2 Israeli soldiers ;
reports say he was among several members killed as he was holding a meeting with other prominent members of Hezbollah - who were “planning new attacks on Israel” from Syria;
some people accuse Israel of carrying out the strike while other accuse “other terrorist groups” working independently or tipping off Israel;
vows of revenge abound and a few rockets have already been targeting Israel and it is also retaliating;
so this may be an incident that causes more turmoil in this part of the world;
Syria seems like vortex that is determined to pull everyone into its darkest reaches
So there was some drama associated with the Obama’s hike today, though not affecting the family’s outing.
‘ Approximately 15-20 minutes after the presidential motorcade left the area, a tree came crashing down on top of a truck. It knocked down some power lines and blocked the road. …
Some of the people traveling with the President, including Secret Service agents, who were blocked in, borrowed tools to cut down the branches so they could get out to rejoin the motorcade. ‘
The two commentators at the site reminded me of Chips & Amk (when they are on a roll). :D

Whoever was in charge needed to bark orders to branch out quickly if they
wanted to leave. I admire those guys, putting life and limb on the line.

They did get to the root of the problem.
Jealous that Pacific Northwest and NorCal are getting the rain predicted for SoCal. I’m 5 miles south of Reagan Library, and we’ve only gotten a few sprinkles from El Nino so far (it rained for a short time yesterday afternoon, and let me tell you all the plants in view looked so happy for that brief time… but then it stopped, hardly a measurable rainfall.)
We are so desperate for rain in Ventura County, even the drought-tolerant chaparral look like it might not survive another winter without rain. :(
We had quite a lot of blessed rain yesterday. Off and on but not torrential so I’m surprised to see that photo of flooding downtown. But it feels so wonderful, so refreshing. It’s raining again right now and I really do hope you also get some soon.
We have been blessed so much that the river banks are overflowing in places, roads are impassable in places, and houses are sliding off hillsides. I am in Oregon needing to travel to Seattle for Xmas checking to see if the roads to get there will be open when I leave on Wednesday.
GE TOD -
Arrived to see the magic words - and how sad that such a courageous young man died because - more guns
Way to go Trish….I see Ms. Australia is in the top ten for Ms. Universe. :-) (yummy)
Hi Sailor - I see you are living up to the concept about the sailor and the lassie. I thought Trump owned this universe thing so I don’t watch it
Naw….Trump is out of the picture from now on. Besides that a seaman always has an eye out for a handsome “ship”.
brought this over.
so fierce!
A Zulu shield of a warrior.
Miss South Africa is stunning!
You betcha….worth at least two naughty mats! :-)
SO BEAUTIFUL….THERE IS NOTHING MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN THE CHOCOLATE GOD HAS MADE!

4 of the 95 were from Philadelphia…
Good question, Mr President. Thank for highlighting it, Nerdy.
This tweet is directed to POC.
What y’all gonna do???
It’s for you yung’uns to figure out.
POC have always stood up. We have the battle scars to prove it. As Dr King said so long ago it is time for folks of good will to stand up

I was getting ready to log off when I saw this.
Life ain’t no fun with no pun.
Whoa.

Sorry to hear this! Parts of the state are flooding, and parts are praying for rain! Hope you get just enough (or more) to keep things going.
GE/GM TODville.
A leisurely dinner for our vacationing First Family tonight.
Hope they’re relaxing with a cocktail or wine of choice along about now. :)
“The First Family is having dinner with family and friends at Morimoto, Asian fusion. They arrived at about 7:30 p.m.”
Wow! Have you ever made a huge mistake in front of millions of people? Oy!
Very sweet
For real tho…
I so much agree with this statement.
