Great except for the white terrorists in Burns occupying the Malheur Wildlife Refuge and encouraging their pals in the anti-government fringe to come join them. This has to end soon!
Happy Friday everyone, and congrats on first, Jojo! Another baby with a last name for a first name! My teacher perspective: it’s very confusing when you’re writing in the last name first (grade books, forms, lunch list, etc.) and Earnest Walker looks more ‘correct’ than Walker Earnest and after a while you don’t know which way it’s supposed to go!
Bunkering is the only way to go, DonnaDem! Is “bunkering” a word? Well, it should be. :) If power goes out, can read a good book by flashlight, super flashlight! We can pretty inventive for sure! :)
I told you that you should come out here one time. Today would have been a good time to come. It is 70 degrees in Phoenix. Seriously, I pray you will be safe and warm.
LOL! Thought it was one to be added to our dictionary. Just sayin’! If power goes out, I’m pulling out long johns, whatever and kicking back at the wood burning fireplace and calling it a good day in my world. Ahem! I’ve actually done a great job lighting the fireplace in past times. In the beginning, I had to bless Google — “lighting a fireplace for dummies” is a great search. :)
Because a woman with child is a good disguise for someone who want to take bottled water from someone who doesn’t need it. They could turn around and sell it and make money (snark). This is a damned shame…go back home and get your ID.
That’s so pretty, bless Pete Souza! Must say the snow coming down is that pretty, fluffy stuff, for now. It always looks magical, until the next day when I say, “I’ve admired you, now can you just go away?” Pretty please. :)
Someone in the replies said “He loves his children” - no-one who loves their children let their health insurance lapse nor do they use corporal punishment. The media - as usual - doesn’t publicize the horrors that GOPers commit on their families
I know and all those, “approved messages” and his own mother rolling her eyes, I hear ya mom. Whoever was coughing Crud had no sympathy, if eyes could kill man o man…..
I sure get the impression his wife would rather be at her workplace. I so remember Michelle Obama on the campaign trail - 100% support of all that he said & did. I also remember that the children were very rarely involved.
That 1st video - if I was his mother I would have walked out - some things are private and my child would know much better than ask me to share with the world.
You have Republican Senators who can’t stand Ted Cruz, you had one say he will vote for Hillary before he vote for Cruz. The whole while he has been in the Senate Cruz haven’t done a dam thing and now he want to be President. OMG.
Lots of good details on @VP’s shopping trip with Dr. Biden and granddaughter.
“Mr. Biden and family spent about an hour at the bazaar. Secret Service agents were all around them and stood outside any store VPOTUS entered. They walked in and out of shops. Sometimes together, sometimes they went their own ways. They went into another jewelry store. Mr. Biden went with Dr. Biden into a store that sold blankets, towels and robes.”
And @VP has alternate plans if DC weather won’t permit their scheduled return tomorrow night:
@carolelee Best @VP pool report this year!
@VP joked AF2 should divert to St. Croix if weather won't permit plane to land Saturday night.
I have to hold all my feelings into an inner fold when it comes to the absolutely fab VPJoe and Dr. Jill. I know they had to make that very difficult decision, and bless to them. But, damn, in my heart they would have been fab. And I’ll try not to go there, except when I see what they do, then I get all melancholy-like. Boo! OK, I’m all good now. :)
I am with you as VP Biden was my choice to carry on Obama’s policies. But I am happy the Bidens do not have to go through the media circus criticisms and polls.
Hello TOD, Good Evening All ;)
TGIF. I keep thinking and having this feeling that today is Saturday, somehow :)
Congrats to all the Gold, :star: Silver and Bronze Winners since last night.
TOD, Rock! Informative as ever! These Tweets and Photographs are Brilliant. Comments are Great! Diverse! Wise! >-I>-I>-I
But we are also here because influential ideological voices on the Left saw the President’s pragmatism as weakness. We are also here because these voices saw - and still see - the president’s accomplishments for the American people as insignificant at best. We are here because the Left has time and again refused to have President Obama’s back, to celebrate what he has accomplished. So much so, that even today, voices on the Left are threatening to elect more Republicans if Democrats support the President’s agenda.
The Flint Water Crisis is a Direct Result of The Professional Left's Contempt for Pragmatism https://t.co/W5OKnHcJq1
Good evening, TOD! Been on the go all day — compressed four days worth of errands into one afternoon. I plan to be in until Wednesday! I had a close call on the road last Sunday, so I’m not taking any chances this weekend! Last Sunday, I was exiting the B/W Parkwway onto I-83, fortunately there wasn’t a vehicle in front or behind me as I hit a patch of ice, slid onto the grass median to my left, spun several times, slid back onto the ramp and then onto the median on the right, spun a few more times, then ended up back on the ramp, headed in the direction I was going. As I was driving up the ramp, I noticed that traffic entering the parkway was stopped due to a multi-car accident. I feel so Blessed! So happens that we was listening to an AM gospel station; song playing during this incident “He’s Got Me!” Once we were safely proceeding on I-83, I told my passenger (who doesn’t drive) during an emergency situation DON’T GRAB THE DRIVER!!!! lol
Here’s a hilarious weather update — LOVE this dude’s voice!

Thank you so much 99ts for sharing this! I was 15 years when President Kennedy gave this speech, but I’ve never forgotten it. It’s so sad to witness the level of religious intolerance in the United States in the 21st Century!
I have a memory of going to a friend’s place (catholic) and them discussing the US election & saying they wanted JFK to win. I went home & asked my mother about it (protestant) and she didn’t have an opinion but told me all the catholics wanted JFK, that was why my friend’s family were so keen.
She later became a massive JFK fan - we were in mourning with the US when he died.
Just reversing the current senate numbers amk. What Bernie didn’t mention - some of the current 17 women are GOPers who support taking away any rights of women to won their bodies.
I will never understand why a woman would support the GOP, let alone represent that party in congress.
on days as cold and messed up with snow as this, I can’t help but be homesick & very appreciative of the tropical climate in which I was born and raised….
staying put …. that’s my story and I am sticking to it
The biggest flaw in Obama’s theory of change was born of arrogance rooted in past personal success. He plainly thought he could win Republicans over by moving toward them. I don’t think he fully corrected on that until the sequester took its first bite and he realized that Republicans wouldn’t compromise to shut it off. That quirk aside, though, I don’t think that Democrats ruminating over how change works can find a more nuanced or effective perspective than Obama’s. -
As Democrats mull how change works, consider Obama

this is basically a good article outlining the consistency of the President re: change…
but the author sees the President as being naive for wanting to work with the GOP to compromise to move things forward…i am often amused by folks who see the President as naive…
there is an interesting passage in which he quotes the President….re…progress…
“One of the things that I’ve learned to appreciate more as President is you are essentially a relay swimmer in a river full of rapids, and that river is history,? he later told me. “You don’t start with a clean slate, and the things you start may not come to full fruition on your timetable. But you can move things forward.”
if you look at this in the context of the ACA…i can see the President….just smilin and shakin his head - at all the hullabooloo about who should get credit for Obamacare
Happy Friday TOD
Congratulations, Jojo! Thinking of all you East Coasters and sending you strong vibes for the power to stay on!
Hi Judith, Thanks. How are things in the PNW?
Great except for the white terrorists in Burns occupying the Malheur Wildlife Refuge and encouraging their pals in the anti-government fringe to come join them. This has to end soon!
me too Judith, I am hoping that it snows so badly that they beg to be rescued. I don’t want these loons and msm to make it about PBO.
Awwww, sweetness! TY NW!

We smile and that is what Baby sees 350% … Universal magic and fairy dust!!
Our DMV (DC, MD, VA) TODers, are you all bunkered down? Stay safe!
Bunkered down and praying we don’t lose power tonight. My home is ALL electric.
Bunkering is the only way to go, DonnaDem! Is “bunkering” a word? Well, it should be. :) If power goes out, can read a good book by flashlight, super flashlight! We can pretty inventive for sure! :)
Uggh: “we can become pretty inventive.” Yes We Can! ;)
Not according to my spell check but it sounds good to me :)
I’ll have no heat if the power goes out
Ha! me either Donna… here’s hoping power remains on for us all.
I told you that you should come out here one time. Today would have been a good time to come. It is 70 degrees in Phoenix. Seriously, I pray you will be safe and warm.
Phoenix is sounding pretty good today!!!

PBO and babies always makes me smile. That’s a very happy baby.
:)
Freaking inhumane
Because a woman with child is a good disguise for someone who want to take bottled water from someone who doesn’t need it. They could turn around and sell it and make money (snark). This is a damned shame…go back home and get your ID.
Sometime when I read stories like this I wonder to myself what will the last indignity be that will cause a people to snap.
I bet he doesn’t live in Flint. That’s truly heartless! Karma gonna bite his azz.
This is sickening.
That’s just simply awful, @#$%%%%
I’m talking in tongues right now.
SPEECHLESS
That’s so pretty, bless Pete Souza! Must say the snow coming down is that pretty, fluffy stuff, for now. It always looks magical, until the next day when I say, “I’ve admired you, now can you just go away?” Pretty please. :)

Yikes….what a disaster.
And such a fake - saying grace xteen times - the children must have wondered as to their father’s sanity (like the rest of the world)
I know and all those, “approved messages” and his own mother rolling her eyes, I hear ya mom. Whoever was coughing Crud had no sympathy, if eyes could kill man o man…..

I stop watching it, could not take it anymore. Alot of crap.
You have Republican Senators who can’t stand Ted Cruz, you had one say he will vote for Hillary before he vote for Cruz. The whole while he has been in the Senate Cruz haven’t done a dam thing and now he want to be President. OMG.
Soon it will be necessary to show your id to use a toilet in the US. Never would I believe what I read - except it is on TOD. Just too sad.
For the transgender community, going to a public toilet is already hell in some states.
And people still vote for the RWNJ - something in the GOP states water supply - all over, not just Michigan
GA/GE TODville.

Oh, the possibilities if VPJoe & Dr.Jill were our next POTUS & FLOTUS! They are awesome and going to do great things now & forward.
OMG, I can’t even think about it. They would have been grand.
I have to hold all my feelings into an inner fold when it comes to the absolutely fab VPJoe and Dr. Jill. I know they had to make that very difficult decision, and bless to them. Exactly, Meta! I truly love and respect VP Joe & Dr. Jill!
When I see my beloved VP and SFLOTUS I’m heartbroken VP made decision not to run.
I am with you as VP Biden was my choice to carry on Obama’s policies. But I am happy the Bidens do not have to go through the media circus criticisms and polls.
Here’s the most current assessment of #Snozilla:
Remarkable to me that except for Florida, nearly all of the US east of the Mississippi River is enduring this storm.
yikes.
That’s our Bo!!!!
Take the leash off & let Bo run in that white stuff! :)
Where is Sunny? :)
Sunny is being sunny! No white stuff. :)
This is about PBO’s 25th visit:
Curious how he has not told us how many times the President has visited Bethesda…
Inorite? I’ve been keeping count.
i don’t know but he always gives a number when talking about the President golfing …etc
you should ask that pos that very good question.
:)
For our own LL
OK, I’m definitely sending this photo to my bookworm friend. This is awesome!

No, I don’t see “myself” — NOT ONE WOMAN OF COLOR in that vid…
good point. I did see a ‘minority’ though.
Yes, I saw the “ONE and only…”

So when will the RW media who think the GOP can do no wrong - show this video - in response to Cruz saying “I’m a Christian first, American second”?

Bingo.
Good question. Also. Too. Why st bernie thinks that we need 6 to 1 women’s majority to do that?
Just reversing the current senate numbers amk. What Bernie didn’t mention - some of the current 17 women are GOPers who support taking away any rights of women to won their bodies.

Exactly, AMK! The Supreme Court that handed down the Roe v. Wade decision, in 1973, was composed of 9 men.
Have you seen this? This election cycle is soooooooo crazy that even a third grader gets it!
