Didn’t read the Buzzfeed article (withholding “clicks” on as many Sanders or Trump articles as possible), but the image suggests that Sanders was against the “guest worker” provision in the 2007 bill. The image quotes Sanders as saying:
“I think we need a path to citizenship…”
Speaking for myself, agree (!) with Sanders, not sure that “guest worker” programs are a good idea — IMHO, to hell with legal slavery (aka guest workers), hire people who will do the jobs Americans dislike (i.e., meat-packing, back-bending vegetable harvesting, etc.) and you’ll get results like this in middle America (from last month):

Good evening everyone. Having looked at all the wonderful pictures of PBO and kids, I have to say…..I can’t pick a favorite! Each one I look at, as I’m seeing it….That’s my favorite! Then I move on….That’s my favorite! They all make my heart sing.
I just listened/watched Hillary’s Nevada speech. She pretty clearly laid out her agenda, and with good language. Sounds to me like she has a new speechwriter with more graceful use of the language. I would say she has let her inner Methodist/social justice girl out…..and I mean that in a very complimentary way. Methodists were very active in social justice causes, for instance abolition, and her youth was spent doing these kinds of activities with her church.
She is impressive in person. We saw her and Bill here at my husband’s university in 1996. I got up front on the rope line, and saw them both close up. I am definitely voting for her, and after hearing tonight’s speech, my level of enthusiasm has risen. No one else will continue PBO’s legacy and build on his accomplishments

From JFK to BHO, African Americans have voted, 80%-95%, for Democratic presidential candidates. Since LBJ in 1964, no Democratic Presidential Candidate has been able to win the majority of white voters.To put it plainly, African Americans are the base of the Democratic Party.
