Reid and some other Nevada Repub suggested him and that’s how the story got floated. The WH responded with kindness to further it along because they knew the Senate GOPs wouldn’t bend and he would get pwnd. PBO is pulling out all the stops to shame them, as evidenced in that story I posted earlier today.
Speculation, IMO is akin to gossip or chasing shiny objects. Needless to say it drives me crazy. I prefer silence until facts are presented. I would have worked very well in the Obama Administration. I can keep my lips sealed. :D
I saw, but did not read, an article by Robert Reich saying that his ‘mole’ in the administration had given him Sandoval’s name. I don’t know if this was the origin or if appeared from several sources.

I have a question. Can I call and leave that message even though I am not a resident in their state? When I tried calling another time about another issue they only took messages from those in their states.
Yes, you just say that you are a registered voter. You don’t have to volunteer what State you’re registered in in order to leave your request.

In each instance, I said that I was a voter from California and that I was calling to request that the Senator do his job, like I have to do mine. He is required to place a vote on the President’s recommendation to fill the Supreme Court seat.
The girl who answered McConnell’s phone seemed surprised at first, then she said thank you, that she would pass the message on. I asked if she needed more information from me and she said I could leave my name if I wish - well, you know I did :-)
The Grassley person was sounded surprised by my request, but recovered and was pleasant and said that my message would be passed on.
What this tells me people - is that WE are NOT making the phone calls. We need to be blowing up their phone lines with our requests. And be sure to mention that you are a registered voter.

I look at the evidence with an open mind. I’m encouraging Mr. 57 to do the same, because he’s a Bernie supporter, as are many of his senior friends (go figure). I’m keeping my tone in check, not getting argumentative, and ask him to watch her, listen to her with an open mind, and to do the same with Bernie. So lately he’s been saying that he notices that Bernie is thin-skinned and that he keeps repeating the same few lines over and over. And that Hillary does look a lot better than she did before. Baby steps, GGail.
What I’m trying to say is that Hillary had to win me, and it is Bernie & his rabid supporters and surrogates who have lost me.
I too had my issues with Hillary because of several reasons, and when VP Joe didn’t sign up, I had to place my preconceived opinions and biases to the side and listen to “this” Hillary and I must admit that I hear and see a different candidate. One that I believe I am now able to support and now vote for. However, I still haven’t been able to contribute even $5.00 to her campaign. Why? because I have heard that she has two Super PACS. Have I researched it for truth? No
So I too have some baby steps to make before I’m all In :D
She does have super pacs. So did PBO. We have to fight, and it takes money to do that.
I didn’t donate until last week. I forget what it was that triggered it - it could have been the insufferable BS & his supporters taking credit for a grass roots campaign that he couldn’t have started from scratch if his life depended on it. PBO started that, did 99% of the work to create that political infrastructure and BS & his people are taking credit for it. So I sent her $5.00. I do want to increase those small donations to Hillary. That’s how I gave to PBO. I gave what I could, when I could. $100 was a huge donation for me that I gave only once. But I gave often. Super pacs can’t and shouldn’t be the sole source of funding for a campaign.
That’s an honest answer, owning up to past mistakes.

Rubio just launched a searing attack on Trump. Here’s why it may fail.
At a rally late yesterday, Rubio called out Trump by name and faulted him for being insufficiently hostile to Obamacare and insufficiently supportive of Israel. “He thinks parts of Obamacare are pretty good,” Rubio scoffed, before casting himself as the only true scourge of the law. Rubio noted that Trump “has said he’s not going to take sides on Israel versus the Palestinians because he wants to be an honest broker.”
Rubio also hit Trump for being inexperienced and ignorant on foreign policy, arguing that he’d be tougher and more knowledgeable.
The road that was taken to allow Trump to sit at the top of the Republican ticket was built on January 20, 2009. Who says that the Republicans don’t care about the infrastructure?
