Thanks GGail… Washington is a blue state but Pierce county has a lots of red. The local repubs in the last election swarmed my neighborhood. House to house candidate and candidateās family. I told the local office that we had not seen any dem canvassing in my neighborhood. Our state senator is now a rwnj.. It was so depressing. I felt that dems just did not listen to supporters on the ground. I am working on my persuasion skills.

Meta, this is one reason why PBO says that Trump will never be president. He cannot win without help from all of the insults hurled at different ethnic groups.

Has anyone said or at least speculated why Trump got such a large percentage of the Hispanic vote in the NV caucus?
This is what Iāve read so far:
More details on this follow below, but the summary is this: Nevada has a large Latino population, a substantial share of which is undocumented. Among those who are citizens and eligible to vote, the vast — and we really do mean very, very vast — majority of these Latino voters tend to cast ballots for Democrats. In fact, in 2008, President Obama won the Latino vote there 76 percent to 22 percent. He won it by nearly 50 points in 2012. And even that might undersell how much Nevada Latinos lean left.
So, like any election, only some share of this small share of the Latino electorate showed up and participated in the Wednesday Republican caucus to begin with. And, of those who did, Edisonās resources and plans allowed them to check with with a grand total of 100 — that is right, 100 — Latino Republican voters inside of a very limited number of precincts around the state, before these individuals went in and cast a vote.
In other words, this survey has a really big margin of error — about plus or minus 10 percentage points. That means that Trump may have earned as little as 34 percent (still a sizable number) of the Republican Latino vote in Nevada or as much as 54 percent. And, as any third-grader can tell you, thatās quite a range.
As one Latino voting expert The Fix checked with Wednesday morning put it, “I would be exceedingly careful about reading too much into that 44 percent.”

Thanks, meta. I was stuck on the 44% and neglected to take into account that the 44% was a percent of the percent of NV Latinos that vote Republican. I still wonder why ANY Latinos would want to vote for Trump given his negative rhetoric.

Thank you, meta. Thatās the clearest and most sensible explanation Iāve heard. The boorish behavior of Donald Trump is unacceptable in many cultures. Itās not only his outrageous statements, itās his complete lack of respect for people and the glee he takes in insulting and humiliating others that makes him offensive to those who still believe in basic courtesy and social norms. Those who come from other countries recognize what disaster he would be on the international stage where behavior and mutual courtesy can make the difference between peace and war.
Iām a little troubled by the BLM heckler. At some point, we must use the mature, adult approach. I think by now, Hillary has gotten the memo and would be willing to sit down and discuss their concerns. Letās try this route and see what happens.
I agree, GGail. I also think Hillary has gotten the memo and would be willing to sit down as she has with other groups. And like others have said, itās not as much where you were, but where you are now. People do evolve and if they are willing to acknowledge their past instead of pretending that it never existed, then I can respect that something in your life has resulted in you having a change of heart or thought.
Regarding the BLM heckler, I wonder about their ties to the formal organization…is this truly a BLM activists or someone who just adopted the label for their purpose? Is it someone who has gone rogue? I think about the person who didnāt want to sit down with PBO because they claimed it would be a photo-op for PBO rather that a serious discussion about the issues.
There is baked in hate out there for Hillary and Bill Clinton. Policies from the 90ās that hurt the AA community and in hindsight were just very bad for our society. Then you couple that with the things that were said and done by the Clintonās and their surrogates in 2008 campaign and the hate just becomes amplified when they are faced with the reality that she may well win the nomination. Some have vowed to do any and everything to stop her. Bernieās supporters see this and of course jump on the bandwagon. With the SC vote only a few days away they object I believe for them was to highlight that in their opinion she is bad for the AA community and that she doesnāt deserve our votes. My guess is that this protester was not part of any organized protest she was just displaying what I see daily on twitter and is probably just the beginning if Clinton starts to win heavily AA states.
Nothing and no type of apology from the Clintonās will quell this hate. They have zero trust in anything the Clintonās say. The hate is ingrained in most of them. They have been clamoring for someone to point out all of the Clinton sins of the past and now they hope they have it and are hopeful that the spotlight will stay on long enough to bring her down at whatever cost.

Heck you can put $500.00 on a credit card so I wonāt go as far as to say that she had to be sponsored by anyone in particular. Thatās not to say that she wasnāt but the hate is real and I can see her spending that kind of money personally just to make the point. She got what she wanted. The European Parliament has adopted a resolution calling for an arms embargo on Saudi Arabia over alleged breaches of international law in Yemen.
A Saudi-led coalition of nine countries has been heavily criticised over the civilian death toll from a bombing campaign in Yemen.
The parliament called on EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini to “launch an initiative aimed at imposing an EU arms embargo”.
The motion passed by 602 votes to 212.

I have my own opinions of the Clintons and how Bill operated in the 90ās, but Bill was President back then and not Hillary. I also remember how things when down in 2008 between the both of them. But in the end President Obama selected Hillary to be his SOS, now maybe Barack had a million reasons why he chose Hillary and not someone else. Hillary has stated she will build on President Obamaās legacy, time will tell if she gets into office. Hillary can say anything she wants to from now until the cows come home, but at the end of the day if President Obama endorses Hillary then thatās who Iām voting for. Beyond his endorsement, it is a moral imperative that a Republican doesnāt become the next President.
I think you summarize this perfectly. Iām not thrilled with the election, for many reasons. In fact, it turns my stomach. But like you, I will follow PBOās lead because I trust him and I care about what happens to ALL of us.

It was a different world in 1992. What he proposed to be at the time filled what many in the country were looking for. I donāt think we would have had a Dem in the WH then unless they had taken a more centrist path. But try to explain that to todayās zealots. I believe he could have undone a great deal of Reagan/Bush damage but he chose not to, like enforcing anti-trust laws that Reagan abandoned. Things would have been very different if weād gone back to the anti-trust mindset. It really is too late now. Many other things, but hindsight is 20-20 after all.
And in truth, the Clintons had been public servants their entire lives. They were not wealthy until they left the WH. And they didnāt need to start the Clinton Initiative (which will be distorted beyond belief when Hillary is the nominee), but it was meant to put great pressure on powers-that-be to fix serious global problems. What did the Bushes do for the world after they left office? Nada.
