The Christmas after PBO won his second term I spent a couple weeks in Chicago with family when my son-in-law was attending law school there. My daughter and son-in-law arranged a special Obama everything tour they took me on while I was there. I told you guys about it when I got home as it was a wonderful gift. PBO’s going to speak at his old University reminded me of it. The law school had the rooms, office and related areas specially marked that Barack used while teaching there. We drove by his home. Saw where he and Michelle shared their first ice cream cone. Went to the art museum like they did on one of their first dates and even had lunch in the same cafeteria they had their lunch in. Plus many researched spots my kids found while preparing the tour. What a great gift!

        GA OG.

What a thoughtful daughter and SIL.

Missed your description in 2012, thanks for posting now, when we’re all in savor-the-PBO-moment now until next January.

Not very flashy, but might jog a memory for you (never been to Chicago myself, not even O’Hare airport😦 ). Closest I’ve come to Chicago was many years ago spending Thanksgiving in Indianapolis with family friends — one daughter drove to her Grandma’s in Rockford IL, so I could see Chicago in the distance from the Interstate.😦

I especially enjoyed it too COS.

First PBO gently informed the guy and all of the students about relying on their phones and not retaining information in their memory, then PBO proceeded to school and teach the “punk” about his sly comments with truth-telling information.

Don’t mess with the Chess Master…

I love when PBO said that his job was keeping us safe “including you” to the guy. He sounded like a the typical Ron Paul type.

He is a freak from my home state…..when will the people of KS open their eyes to this irresponsible government? All of our elected officials are too far off of middle-of-the road. Their concerns are not warranted.
