As for voting in the U.S.: As AMK put it earlier, if Trump can’t be defeated, the general population deserves what it gets. If the Dems can’t figure out how to get their party to show up to vote - and if voters can’t catch a clue from the type of people Trump is attracting - they’ll deserve to be rolled by the Trump nation that is EAGER to get to the polls.

That is easy to say, but when you will suffer the consequences of a Trump presidency along with the idiots it is hard to say it is deserved. PBO and many of us spent endless hours getting ACA passed and have many improvements that will be lost if Trump wins. I am not sure how, but know we have to win this election.
I’m just pointing out that if there is a significant number of uneducated / fearful / hate-driven voters, we will collectively all pay if there aren’t enough OTHER voters to offset their misguided votes. I’m in that number even though I do vote and know what’s at stake. That’s just an unfortunate side-effect of our democracy.
If America is smart, some of those who don’t already know what’s at stake will start getting a hint from what’s going on in the UK.

Janet Yellin projected we would see growth even with Brexit but the global shocks will be widespread. The sheer stupidity caused by the uninformed. The UK has just barely recovered from the recession and now this. Despite all this, I am cautiously optimistic this will be a lesson for US voters as to what happens when you take unnecessary risks with the economy. So frstrating.
