We used to have a president. Not htat long ago, but it feels like 1,000 years….
I never have believed that I am intelligent enough to be President of the United States. That I do not have enough background and knowledge to serve in that capacity having been an elementary teacher, wife, mother, grandmother, education committee member and volunteer. I thought PBO had all the needed attributes and served us well as President. I think our current President has a background of being a failed business man, a con man and an amoral person. He is failing miserably and I feel that even I could do a better job than him.

Happy New Year TODVille.
As I head out to be with my sister (like me fighting cancer), I am grateful for another year of many blessings, among them, this blog.
May each one of you, agent of sanity in a surreal world since January 2017, be blessed in small and big ways.
Sending my utmost respect to NW and Chips who made this gathering possible and have continuously sustained us in the most darkest hours (of political insanity).

Germany is set to start enforcing a law that demands social media sites move quickly to remove hate speech, fake news and illegal material.
Sites that do not remove “obviously illegal” posts could face fines of up to 50m euro (£44.3m).
The law gives the networks 24 hours to act after they have been told about law-breaking material.
Social networks and media sites with more than two million members will fall under the law’s provisions.
Facebook, Twitter and YouTube will be the law’s main focus but it is also likely to be applied to Reddit, Tumblr and Russian social network VK. Other sites such as Vimeo and Flickr could also be caught up in its provisions.

Since these ‘soshul media’ sites don’t follow their own ‘terms of service’, the stick it is.
That’s really great to hear. Of course, such a law couldn’t be passed here given our so-called love for absolute free speech (for bigots). Good for Germany.

Good morning TOD and happy new year, as I sit in my office this fine Monday morning I am happy to be alive. And what a time it is to be alive, we are hurdling towards the great unknown. And what an unknown it is. I’m just happy this morning, we’ve shaken off the yoke of 2017 and now we are head long into 2018, and what a 2018 it is already.
