There is nothing Machiavellian or substantive about Trump’s tweets, he tweets from a position of weakness. He uses his tweets to either bully or tear down or to brag.

The really sick part is that is what Trumpaloons love about him. They love his nasty ugly smearing, they love his lies and his threats. If we don’t throw him out of office, I want no part of this mess.

David Cameron is to take on a new role leading a UK government-backed investment initiative between Britain and China.

The former prime minister will take charge of a £750m ($1bn) fund to improve ports, roads and rail networks between China and its trading partners.

The government said working with China’s Belt and Road Initiative would create jobs and boost trade links.

It comes after Chancellor Philip Hammond’s two-day trip to China.

The Belt and Road Initiative was first unveiled in 2013, but this year China’s President Xi Jinping pledged £96bn ($124bn) for the scheme.

The Chinese government said it would invest tens of billions of dollars as part of an ambitious economic plan to rebuild ports, roads and rail networks linking China and its trading partners.

President Xi intends on developing ancient trade routes through China and Europe to make it easier for the world to trade with China.

Same. It was a strong document upon which to build our future. He and his team worked on it for SIX freakin’ years, hashing out endless details and disputes, one by one. All to be utterly trashed because of self-serving idiots. And each and every one of the signatories felt betrayed. Oh, it makes me sick!

Modi govt played these power abuse games with the opposition party members foisting them with several inflated cases. Since they overreached, our courts from state to central level are slapping down these cases on a regular basis with the end result even the guilty going scotfree in clearly corruption cases. Pity usa, usa, usa doesn’t have such an direct oversight of govt abuse by the courts.

Ethiopia to release all political prisoners.

In a surprise move, Ethiopia’s prime minister has announced the release of all political prisoners and the closure of a notorious detention centre, allegedly used as a torture chamber.

Hailemariam Desalegn told a press conference the move was designed to allow political dialogue.

But it is unclear exactly who will be released - or when it will take place.

Ethiopia, a staunch ally of the West, is accused by rights groups of using mass arrests to stifle opposition.

Amnesty International welcomed Mr Hailemariam’s announcement, saying it could signal “the end of an era of bloody repression in Ethiopia” - although warned the closure of Maekelawi detention centre should not be used to “whitewash” the “horrifying” events which took place under its roof.

This is a landmark moment for the country - not least because it is the first time the government has even admitted to having any political prisoners, previously describing them as “criminals”, BBC Ethiopia correspondent Emmanuel Igunza says.

Rights groups have accused the government of using anti-terrorism laws to jail its critics.

KIM JONG-UN ORDERED THAT OFFICIALS MAKE CONTACT WITH SOUTH KOREA on Tuesday through a hotline
that had been dormant for nearly two years.
    http://www.politicususa.com/2018/01/03/kim-jong-un-orders-open-communication-south-korea-time-years.html
“Hours after President Trump tweeted another reckless taunting message at North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, the regime’s leader
ordered that officials make contact with South Korea on Tuesday through a hotline that had been dormant for nearly two years.
The South Korean Unification Ministry said officials from their northern neighbor made a call at 3:30pm local time, the hour at which
Kim Jong-un mandated it be made, and remained on the line for 20 minutes. The brief contact was spent verifying that the hotline had no technical issues on either side.”

I think Bannon might be more truthful in this instance. Bannon is a true believer when it comes to being a conservative i.e. guns, gays, and religion. Trump, Don Jr. and Kushner aren’t really conservatives, they are businessmen through and through. Trump’s cabinet is made up of people that are only concerned about passing legislation that will put money in their pockets through their business interest. When Trump won the White House his first thought was to wonder how much money he could make, not how could he help fellow Americans, but how can he become more rich. Bannon wants to be a conservative hero, he isn’t all that concerned about money. And that’s why he’s lashing out at the White House. Bannon is willing to burn the village down just to save it, Trump’s inner circle of businessmen aren’t willing to do that. You can always spot the true believers when it comes to politics, they don’t have an overriding obsession with making money.

Bannon believes and is obsessed with the ‘Fourth Turning’.
“He believes that, for the new world order to rise, there must be a massive reckoning. That we will soon reach our climax conflict.”
      http://www.businessinsider.com/book-steve-bannon-is-obsessed-with-the-fourth-turning-2017-2
“”Bannon believes in authoritarian politics as preparation for a massive conflict between East and West, whether East means the Middle East or China.” Seems he’d be willing to create that conflict using the Dicktraitor, calling him “a blunt instrument for us”.
I’d question any public displays of disagreement between him and Trump. The central strategies on display are about fear & chaos.

There is an actual history of what happened with North Korea:
“North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il was using the regime’s missile development as a PROD to get the Clinton administration to negotiate
a deal that would include concrete steps toward normalization of relations. He even sent a personal envoy to Washington to present the outline of a new North Korean offer to give up the regime’s quest for an ICBM, as well as its nuclear weapons capability.
In October 2000, Secretary of State Madeleine Albright went to Pyongyang, and the two sides came close to a final agreement
that would have ended North Korean missile development as well as its nuclear weapons program and led to normalizing relations.
But Clinton didn’t go to North Korea to sign the deal in the final months of his presidency, and the election of George W. Bush
in November 2000 was a major victory for the missile defense lobby.”

“Cheney had a bureaucratic strategy to …finish off the Agreed Framework. The NSC staff initiated a “nuclear posture review,”
which was carried out without any participation by Powell’s allies. The final document included North Korea on a new list of
countries that could be targets for U.S. use of nuclear weapons.”
