I truly wished OFA did this right after the historical win of PBO. There were so many people left with “nothing to do” after he won until the ACA when people got energized again then dropped off until his re-election.
The Tea Bagger movement was manufactured by billionaires to push Republicans further right and thus stymy President Obama’s agenda. Indivisible and the Resistance movements are legitimate grassroots responses to Trump’s election. I’m glad that the anti-Trump movements are generating fresh candidates to run for our side. Hopefully, they will be part of the wave which flips Congress for Democrats.

Did anyone here catch the portion of The View during which they interviewed the family of the gentleman (Mr. Garcia, if I correctly recall). He is the immigrant who has been in the US for 30 years and was recently deported to Mexico. It was a heartbreaking segment. Ms. Whoopi Goldberg couldn’t hold back her emotions. If anyone can pull it, then thanks in advance. ==>This hit me in the very core of my being as an immigrant and I have been weeping since I saw it. I know the challenges involved in getting your immigration status legalized. I know people who are going through the same terror as they wait for ICE to lmpck on their doors. I know people who have been deported. => I also think that this segment would be a good one to share, on social media & other ways, especially with people who are not in favor of comprehensive immigration. The SCOTUS under John Roberts strikes again.

The Rehnquist Decision on Gore V Bush ended up costing Dems a POTUS, costing USA 4K lives and 38K injured due to the Iraq war. It also was costly monetarily, then 2 SCOTUS nominations; Roberts and Alito. They came up with Citizen United, Corporations are People. They came up with gutting the VRA and making ACA selective for States. When will Dems realize that in a 2 Party System, #GOP can’t continue to be the minority party with the control of everything, hence denying and depriving the Majority a win. In 2016, it was costly in the stealing of a SCOTUS Seat.
I am so outraged by this and feel so helpless sometimes… I just am overwhelmed by the conspiracy of the rich to take away so much from the rest of Americans.

Boris Island: Long backed by Mr Johnson as an alternative way of expanding airport provision in south-east England, the £47bn plan for an island airport in the Thames Estuary was rejected as an option by the commission looking into the issue in 2014. He had argued it would provide far more jobs than expanding Heathrow or Gatwick and had the potential to “reshape the economic geography of London and the whole of the South East for decades to come”. Commission chairman Sir Howard Davies said it was not viable.
Garden Bridge: A £200m plan to build a bridge covered with trees over the River Thames in central London was abandoned last year, having lost the support of Mr Johnson’s successor as mayor of London, Labour’s Sadiq Khan. It had been backed by Mr Johnson but by the time it was scrapped, it was estimated that £46m of public money had already been spent. Mr Johnson accused his successor of having “no vision for London and no ambition”.

The US astronaut Jeanette Epps has been removed from her upcoming mission to the International Space Station (ISS) just months before launch.
Dr Epps was to have been the first African-American astronaut assigned to the space station crew.
She would have flown aboard a Russian Soyuz flight in June but is being replaced by another astronaut.
Nasa has not given a reason for withdrawing her but says she will be considered for future missions.
Jeanette Epps, born in Syracuse, completed a doctorate in aerospace engineering in 2000. After graduating, she worked in a laboratory for two years before being recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
