    Congrats DF on 1st.
I couldn’t agree with you more about PBO.

Everyday PP and the GOP are in power and all of their actions … only enhances the goodness of PBO.

To think PBO voters voted for the asshat is beyond comprehension …

I don’t do Twitter stuff but have read some of the tweets from the Nunes parody accounts (at DU) and man oh man … are they ever hilarious. Pure comedy gold..

I feel the lawsuit against Twitter is only to serve as a distraction.

As I continue my quest of reclaiming my vocabulary from “WTF”, my word this evening is: “Skankiness”. Equally satisfying when one adds a hiss of snake as emphasis to end of said word! Tah-dah! 💃😏

      From the article….

The macabre harvest of innocents, this time claiming fifty lives in two mosques, in Christchurch, New Zealand, is a double-edged form of madness. It is both the product of an absence of human empathy and a drain on the reserves of those who possess it: decency these days requires the ability to stare barbarism in the face, repeatedly, randomly, intensely, without ever becoming inured to the ugliness of its features. Terrorism hopes to inspire fear and confusion, but its most pernicious impact begins the moment that people no longer feel either of those things but, rather, simply a grudging acknowledgment that this is the way we now live.

I wondered what everyone here would think when I heard that this morning. I will admit I have thought and written something like this all along. The reason I like the idea is that Biden is well respected in the world and might go a long ways in getting back the respect we have lost from other countries in the world. He is more trusted than a newbie. However his age and experience in this time period seems to work against him. Choosing someone to run with him that is charismatic, intelligent and younger especially a minority woman might help people have confidence to vote for him. I certainly trust him. He has proven himself. The Vice could run after the first four years. Would Joe make a good SOS? Yes he would. But would he want to go from VP to SOS? That really is not considered upward mobility and I doubt it. I paired him with Kamala, Beto, or Castro in earlier posts, but also love Stacey as a choice especially since the others are running on their own. I actually like the idea of coming out of the box with a running mate, but notice many others do not feel the same way. My main goal is to get Trump out of there and get a good Dem in. Just not Bernie, please. BS would be my last resort.

I love Joe Biden dearly. He served honorably and wonderfully as VP. He was a magnificent, loyal and trustworthy support to our PBO and he most certainly helped pull us out of the deep recession. Dr. Jill functioned in the very same way with our FLOTUS. If he were the nominee, I would support him energetically. However, I do believe his opportunity has passed. We have women who are very strong candidates and I think Joe could provide tremendous support and counsel to our next democratic president. It’s time for a strong woman to step into the awesome responsibilities of the presidency and correct the horrific violations and messes created by these grotesque cretins currently soiling the White House.

Explains why my eyes are still like organ stops:
Joe Scarborough for real wrote the following two days ago about our President Obama. (https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/obamas-presidency-will-be-hailed-as-transformative-trumps-will-be-viewed-with-scorn/2019/03/19/)
“100 years from now, Obama’s presidency will be hailed as the most transformative of our lifetimes, and Donald Trump’s will be viewed with the same scorn that followed the Dred Scott decision. Like that pre-Civil War Supreme Court case, Trump will forever be condemned as a racial reprobate whose words and actions inspired white supremacists and neo-Nazis…(please read)
That’s why any policy differences I had with Obama now seem so insignificant. Americans who still have faith in the upward arc of King’s moral universe should be grateful for Obama’s presidency and the way his election exposed the white racism that is still at large in our land. If changing the Constitution and reelecting Obama two more times would break the fever that now ravages Trump’s Washington, I would cheerfully
champion the passage of that constitutional amendment,
slap a “Hope and Change” sticker on my shirt, and race to the nearest voting booth to support
the man historians will remember as the most significant president since Abraham Lincoln.”

Am for the truth no matter who spaked it!
Back in January Scarborough called for the 25th amendment. Plus:
“if any of the 44 presidents had behaved that way, then those questions would have been raised. If Barack Obama had done that in 2013 those questions would have been raised by Republicans, they would have probably tried to start impeachment hearings. If George W. Bush had done it Democrats would do the same, and rightly so. This (Trump) is a man who obviously is not fit to hold the office, and we’ve known that for a very long time. He is pushing foreign policy initiatives that are actually going to do grave damage to this country, our national security and embolden and strengthen our enemy.”

“Jury Finds Monsanto’s Roundup Guilty of Causing Cancer.”
    https://truthout.org/articles/jury-finds-monsantos-roundup-guilty-of-causing-cancer/
“Today’s verdict reinforces what another jury found last year, and what scientists with the state of California and the World Health Organization have concluded: Glyphosate causes cancer in people.” And Monsanto has been covering it up.
“Edwin Hardeman, the plaintiff in the case, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) in 2015 after using Roundup to kill poison oak and weeds on his property for over 20 years. In 2016.” Hardeman sued Bayer (Monsanto) and won over $200 million in damages.
-Since 1974, this is the cancerous poison sprayed on farmer’s fields, lawns, parks and school properties all over the country.

A friend visiting Pullman WA last night, said that a cutesy cartoon advert for this product was shown on and off all night by MSNBC.
My bet is that (Bayer) Monsanto will try and sell off mega-warehouses of this cancerous deadly product before the “day of reckoning”.

    • 96 bridgeriverpass
      March 21, 2025 at 1:33 pm

Glyphosate was brought to market for killing weeds in 1974 under the name Roundup. It took until 2015 for WHO to be on to it as a carcinogenic in humans. Deadly Roundup goes on being widely and blatantly promoted and it must be stopped. Glyphosate is found in all wines and beer (even organic due to the spread between growing areas) and “significant levels of the weedkilling chemical glyphosate have been found in an array of popular breakfast cereals, oats and snack bars marketed to U.S. children”.

    • 97 bridgeriverpass
      March 21, 2025 at 1:35 pm

We say we don’t understand cancer. We outrage about losing our loved ones. We let our kids play in it. Our pets eat sprayed grasses.
But here’s the painful truth: Glysophate has been sold worldwide for 40 years. Pls tell your city officials No More Roundup on school property, parks, farmer products. End the obvious causes of cancer.

      • 98 cd4biden
        March 22, 2025 at 1:17 am

And, actually BRP, Glyphosate was originally created and patented as an antibiotic before it was moved over to being a weed killer. So if you eat food with glyphosate on it it will harm the good bacteria in your gut, much like any antibiotic we take, making it harder for your body to properly digest your food for the nutrients.

I am not disagreeing with you, Sheila, about white men getting all the attention. However when people listen to Mayor Pete speak they are in awe and talk about how they feel the same way they did when they first heard Obama speak. He is so intelligent and calm, his answers are well thought out and not political zingers. I was so for Kamala or Stacey if she entered, or some of the other women, and even for Cory Booker and Beto. And then I heard Pete speak and my brain just flipped. I can’t stop thinking about him, and have watched numerous interviews of his on his meetpete.org website. He is so unique. I can’t wait to see him in the debates. If nothing else he is going to shift the conversation with all the other candidates. Check him out. He is the real deal, and it has nothing to do with him being a white male. It is amazing to watch the interviewers all set up to stump him with a question or make him stumble when they challenge him on something, and instead by the end of the interview their jaws are on the floor. Every single time!!
