President Obama announces the Fatherhood and Mentoring Initiative, a nationwide effort to support responsible fatherhood and to help reengage absentee fathers in the lives of their children at a Father’s Day event in Washington, DC. June 21, 2010.
What a wonderful speech by the President. To hear him talk about the pride and joy he has being Malia and Sasha’s father. He admits to not being a perfect father, but I think anyone can tell when you see him with those two lovely girls, just how much he loves them.
Donna, thanx for sharing the link-beautiful. How did we get so lucky to have elected such this man and his beautiful family. The moderator of the piece had me almost crying too. This country does not realize what a concerned and caring man President Obama is. This site in itself is amazing. I don’t know how I stumbled on it. I’ve watched that Father’s Day video, gosh, I count how many times. thanx, again for sharing.

Agreed. Those girls are the “light of his life!”
Hi Chipsticks,
A while aback I came across this video on time.com of Photographer Callie Shell who had extraordinary access to the White House.
In this video documentary, she describes how she captured her behind-the-scenes images of the first 100 days of President Obama in office.

The bit about the President and the First Lady is just beautiful.
